They were still working out the kinks with the pizza oven when I went but my pepperoni pizza was very good. I'd say I liked it better than pepperoni pizza from another brick oven in town. The table ordered the parsnip fries which I enjoyed. We also ordered a creme brûlée and the fruity pebbles rice crispy treat with vanilla ice cream. The brûlée was a little watery and bland but not horrible. The fruity pebble desert was amazing. We had a large group they the staff seemed to handle very well for what appeared to be a busy night. Very uncomfortably cold - all 5 of us having our coats fully zipped up and rest of patrons the same. Metal tables and metal seats would be fine for 80 degree weather. Server was nice. Hamburger bun and Burger were dry. Carrot and parsnip fries were good. 2 pizza's were so so. One had very sparse incredients and over done. The other underdone (marguerite ) and tasteless. Pizzas are small. The menu doesn't have a lot for dinner besides pizza and sandwiches. Dined at 6 pm and they were out of 2 items. Unlikely to return unless we hear the menu changes and they get the temp up to where you're not looking forward to going back to a warm car or house. If you're okay with spending $15 or so on a hamburger, you'll find that they're well worth it; nice and tender, made from quality ingredients. There's also the fact that you get your choice of sides with the burger. Be forewarned, however, that--while you do get leeway on your condiments and how hard your patty is cooked--they don't do additions or substitutions and sometimes waver on omissions. The pizzas aren't quite as impressive, but still definitely worth a try. read more

The fries were great as well. Went to the Diver again after quite some time. In my opinion it's all there. Great atmosphere, great service and excellent food. You MUST eat here!!! I just had a fabulous salmon dinner special. The salmon was glazed and cooked to perfection. The fingerling potatoes were delectable and the steamed fresh veggies were crunchy and delicious. The house green salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing was fresh and tasty. My husband's pepperoni pizza was hot and mouthwateringly full of flavor. The brownie sundae was to die for (I should have ordered my own instead of sharing one with my husband). The service was superb! Our young waiter was very attentive, kind, respectful, and even held the door open for us as we left. The decor is modern and quirky, which is just my style. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here! We were passing through on our way home. I got the cowboy burger it was awesome! They had a good beer selection, and my wife and kids seemed to like their pizzas. They are short staffed, but that is barely noticeable. The only minor thing is we could have had better follow up on our drinks, but again knowing they are short staffed it was totally reasonable and they leave water on the table. Pretty good. About a 3.75 star right now because it's still rough around the edges and the owner will even say that. I know because he came by and talked to us twice. That's old school right there. Proper. I saw more than one burned pizza. But again that could be new restaurant jitters. No big deal. Good beer selection. Menu is said to rotate. But if there is one thing you need to know it's this: bacon jam. Put it on everything. Very happy there is an old town type restaurant in Henderson Center. Hopefully it spurs a new trend. It was notable there were no hobos walking by staring at me through the window. I'm told outdoor seating is planned. I'll be back in a couple months. Stopped in here the other night . This place is just what Henderson center needed. They offer oven roasted pizza and some really good burgers. This place deserves my 5 stars for being the only place in Henderson center that offers a menu that anyone can enjoy. Also the cleanliness makes all the difference in a dinning experience. I ordered the diablo burger, no it's not as hot as it sounds. It's backed with lots of flavor and spice . If you like heat and a little spice . Try this one out . Excited to try it. Wanted to love it. Disappointed. The positive is that the Diver is modern, clean, and has a very Portland vibe. We enjoy that. The Service is slow but our server was sweet. The menu is simple. The prices are moderate. We Ordered the Ahi Burger with fries and the bacon cheeseburger and salad with blue cheese dressing. The server returned to inform me they had no blue cheese dressing and only had blue cheese crumbles. I don't like blue cheese crumbles so I Ordered the ranch dressing. When we got our food the salad had ranch topped with blue cheese crumbles. How odd is that! Needless to say, the salad was awful. My husbands Ahi burger was completely raw. We have Ahi all the time and understand the searing with the middle pink method. This was not that. It was not seared enough, completely raw and mushy. No taste. When the server returned we asked why it is so raw. She didn't know and went to ask the cook. The server returned and relayed that the cook said "it's the way we cook it." My husband ate around the edges and discarded the rest. Yuk! Unfortunately, this place does not know how to cook Ahi. Additionally, they should be informing the customer that it is a raw burger. Perhaps offer choices of how the customer wants it cooked just as they do with the Hamburger. The cheeseburger was so dry I could hardly eat it. I did order it med well but this was leather. The buns are fat and crispy on the top. The fries were great! To the servers credit she did offer to take the bill to the manager for an adjustment. We did not take advantage of that since our goal was not to have a cheaper bill but to inform them of the short comings. Two suggestions for the Diver if they want return local customers 1. Never assume a customer wants you to alter what they ordered. Who puts blue cheese crumbles on ranch dressing? Ask first. Not the time to experiment. It was awful. 2. Disclose on the menu that your style of Ahi is 100% raw. Give the customer a choice. 3. When a customer complains about something, the attitude of "that's the way we do it here" is not very professional and does not warrant a desire to return. I'm using my money to buy a product in your establishment. I'm a local potential return customer who will share her experience in the community, which is exactly what I did. Finally and coincidentally, we knew the woman sitting behind us. The following day I saw her. I asked her how her meal was not realizing she had also ordered the Ahi Burger. Her opinion was the same as ours. Completely raw and tasteless. We both wish we would have returned the meal for a better one but we did not want to wait another 30 minutes. We both agreed the service is slow but with good attitude and sweet. read more

Simple and blue collar. Great vibe, rad furnishings. With a name like the Diver I was expecting a seafood joint. Overall a good spot! None of the bougie, try to hard shitty restaurant as we often see in eureka. Smooth out the kinks based off customers comments and it'll be a top spot in eureka. Loved the atmosphere and decor of this place, and their food was absolutely delicious! The owner came to our table and apologized for my pizza coming out late it was no problem at all we didn't mind waiting good food takes time and we were enjoying our time there, he ended up not charging us for the pizza which was totally unexpected and so nice!
