Yummy old fashioned donut and Apple Bear Claw with lattes!
    Stacey S.

The donuts and coffee at this establishment are unbelievably amazing! The latte was delightful and the owners are very kind and considerate. The Apple Bear Claw was SUPERB! I will come by again to try the boba!

The best donut I've ever had.

Donut shop with a drive-thru! [Eureka CA] Stopped by one morning for some road trip sweets heading to Crescent City. We walked inside to check out the selection. They have a nice assortment of classics with a lot of my favorites. I got a raised glazed, chocolate, and a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was moist inside and not bread-like. Yummy fresh, pillow soft donuts! For those with time to spare, they have a few tables inside where they have complimentary morning newspaper for your reading pleasure. Read the papers while enjoying your coffee and donut. For timeline purposes the big news at this time was Russia invading Ukraine. I digress. The shop is family-owned and are friendly and helpful. Cool that they have a drive-thru window. The only donut places with a drive-thru in our area are chain establishments. Fast and easy and we were on our merry way... they are located off of Highway 101. You don't have to exit because US 101 cuts through the City of Eureka, I know, it's weird. Anyway... the best donuts in Eureka! Review #2520

I was here a couple of days after Christmas,, and there was only one car in front of me in line. I waited and waited and waited, almost 10 minutes and nothing happening. I just left. Today, I was back in town, I was on Broadway, and so to be fair, I wanted to give them another shot. Again, there was only one car in front of me. At one point, she opened the window, and handed them a drink. It looked like she was making the drinks one at a time. At about the 10 minute mark, I honked my horn to let them know that I was waiting. The lady stuck her head out the window, looked at me, and I politely said, I've been in line almost 10 minutes. She didn't say I'm sorry, she didn't say I'll be right with you,, she just gave me a dirty look, and pulled her head back in the window. Once again, I left. Instead, I went over to jitter bean on Harris across the street from Safeway. There, I was behind three other cars, and even with three cars in front of me, I waited less than 10 minutes. At one point, one of the employees actually came out to the line, asked me what I wanted, took my reusable mug inside and then when I got to the window, my drink was ready. That's the way these places should be doing things. Sorry Gold, Rush, in this case, two strikes and you're out. . There are too many other coffee places in town that I can go to. Thanks anyway.

The line wasn't too long of a wait, despite it being busy and understaffed. They had a cute location, and I really liked the dark wood throughout. They had a dedicated area for sitting, and some things like board games available for groups to enjoy while sipping their beverage of choice. I got a mocha frappé and enjoyed it. It hit the spot on a sunny Eureka day. To my surprise, I got a freebie, with the barista making more than what would fit in the cup. The excess was poured into an additional cup, and given for free. That was awesome. Speaking of the staff, they were great. Despite being a busy day and not many people working, they pushed through and i saw them handle all types of attitudes and customers with great care. I enjoyed my drink here for sure.

I came early in the morning and only had a donut and small coffee there and the price was reasonable. They have a seating area in front of their counter and a larger seating area adjacent. Lovely wall art that appears to be from local artist. I really want to give it 5 stars - the only downside was - and I have to be honest - there was a homeless man who came into the cafe and started yelling repeatedly at the clerk and other patrons. This is NOT the fault of the owners but when I'm in side of a restaurant or cafe and eating I think it's reasonable to want to feel safe. This was early in the morning and after this aggressive person left there were steadily more and more customers coming in and I felt safer/better This is a great place and I hope anyone who is visiting Eureka to stop by and enjoy this popular place

Parking is street parking only, so it can get tricky during busier times. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a very large food menu, and they also have bagels, pastries, coffee, espresso drinks, , smoothies, beer, and wine. I was in at lunchtime, so I decided to get an "everything bagel" with their sun-dried tomatoes spread. I asked for light spread, and that's what I got. The bagel was amazing! Very tender. I could smell the garlic on the bagel and taste it as well. It was excellent. The spread was both savory and rich, but not overly rich. I loved it. I also had a white mocha. It was a good quality, coffee, and the drink was rich and sweet, but not overly so. I was talking with my sister later, and she told me that their sandwiches and salads are also very good. I decided to come back for dinner. I had the salami, baguette, and one of their lemon squares for dinner. The Salami Baguette had Salami, Jack Cheese, Spinach, Tomatoes, Dijon, and Pesto (Basil, Olive Oil, Garlic, Walnuts, Parmesan, and Salt) That sandwich was amazing! Baguette was soft and delicious, they were generous with the salami, and it had the right amount of cheese. The veggies give it a nice "pop" of freshness, the pesto was rich, but not overly so, and the Dijon and just a tiny bit of a "zip" to it. All of the ingredients played together very well. The lemon square, the crust was flaky, the lemon was creamy, but not overly sweet, and it had just the right amount of powdered sugar on the top. Everything I had there today was fantastic. The prices were reasonable. I will definitely be back to try more items. My only regret is waiting so long before I finally came in. Thanks!
