We got to try some new seasonal flavors as well as some classics. Chocolate Celebration Ring - this is a new daily flavor I believe, and I quite enjoy it! It reminds me of the type of doughnut you'd get at a mom n pop, which is a huge plus for me. The chocolate frosting surprisingly wasn't super sweet. Def would get again. Potato Chip Streusel - this was...interesting haha. The potato chips add a nice salty flavor to the chocolate donut itself. I wouldn't get it again, but worth a try if you're an adventurous person. Celebration Cake - one of my absolute favs. I love that they use almond flour so it has a nice nutty taste. It is very much cake like and dense, but it hits the spot every time. Highly recommend! CA locations, opening in Torrance a couple of years ago. OFD's donuts are popular for its rich creams & chewy dough; Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée are just 2 of their signature flavors. I was going through a donut phase when I initially stopped by Old Ferry Donut. Large windows let lots of light in, & once you step across the threshold, you're hit with a strong K-pop vibe & loud music. They even had a collab with SEVENTEEN last fall during their tour with 2 flavors: Marble Strawberry & Blue Coconut! Unlike the regular mom & pop's or commercialized donut shops, they don't offer a discounted 1/2 or full dozen box. After asking what's their most popular picks, I chose Butter Pistachio & Crème Brûlée, & added Lemon Poppyseed & Raspberry Ring for myself, Cookies & Cream & Boston Cream for the kiddos. I didn't need a sales pitch, but would like some info on the donuts to make an informed decision since they're at a premium price even though they're not "freshly made" (every hour or less) like SD&C just down the street.
