While we were waiting, someone who I can only assume was the owner or manager came over and surprised us with a complimentary cup of coffee ice cream and two spoons. Let me just say--it was AMAZING! Such an unexpected and thoughtful gesture, and it really made our experience feel extra special. The ambiance was great, and the music was so good it made you want to dance while waiting for your coffee! And once our coffees were ready, they absolutely did not disappoint. Everything was delicious, and all of the flavors they offer sound incredible. I think I officially found my new coffee spot! I absolutely love Coffee Fix and can't wait to go back and try more flavors. If you're a coffee lover, definitely check this place out!

Our order was a Chai Latte and a Cold Brew - each was $5. The pours were very large, and I swear that my cold brew was the very best I've ever had. I love coffee, drinking it hot or cold, and what I had here is in my all-time Top Five Percent. It was that good. I had a sip of my wife's Chai Latte and thought it was excellent as well. What really impressed me were the flavors of both drinks- not overpowering, but strong enough to appreciate them. The Coffee Guy has it all - specialty coffees, matcha, chai, espresso drinks, and pastries and sweet treats to pair with your coffee cup. We couldn't resist grabbing a few on our way out, and we took home a box with a Spinach croissant, iced blueberry scone, and a cruffin (croissant/muffin hybrid). And that was after I said something. So who knows how long it would have taken. This isn't because of lack of effort. The baristas were doing things. They're making lots of drinks. But it's not clear for whom. They finish the drinks and they don't call people's names. Maybe they're for to go orders? I understand that restaurants need to make choices about how they run things. All I can say is, that it's not a good experience to get all of your food and you have to wait for a black iced coffee (a drink that takes very minimal effort) for 10 minutes. This shop is located right on Main St and can be seen from the road, but parking is around the back via Ensign St. The inside of this shop is large, with a giant coffee bar and a number of different tables throughout. The floors look like clear-coated concrete and the ceiling is painted black with exposed ductwork. After looking over the menu on this morning, I went with a large hot latte. It was only after I ordered that I saw their specials as well as local favorites on chalkboards along the wall. After only a couple of minutes, I had my coffee and was quickly on my way. As for the coffee itself, it was solid. You could definitely taste the deep and strong coffee flavor, and the milk played a nice supporting role where you knew it was there but it wasn't covering up the coffee. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I thought that the coffee was good and the service was quick, and I would like to try some of those local favorites.

We ordered a 8 pack of mini donuts and 2 protein doughnuts. The mini doughnuts came in a myriad of flavor combos. Those flavors were pronounced, the base is a cake doughnut so it's spongy but light. It's a good cake doughnut, but I'm not really a fan of cake style doughnuts. For me, cake doughnuts need to be right out the oven to be good. These were made recently, but cooled significantly and not to my preference. The protein doughnuts were dipped fresh. They were not much different in terms of consistency but it's a much denser doughnut and a bit of chew because of the protein powder. It also has the aftertaste of sunflower shells that health products tend to have. Not unpleasant, but makes it taste like standard "healthy" products It's not bad, but it's also not great. For the price is right for the quality, and it's one of the few dessert options for the area. It's worth a try if you're around or if you really like cake doughnuts, but I wouldn't trek there.

These come from a food truck, in this case a Donut Truck, it is parked in front of Cabela's in East Hartford. They had a variety of very generous donuts lined up. The Boston Creme donut, was so pouffy and enlarged, from the very generous amount of the custard filling. There was a bacon donut, an apple cider donut, among others. I wish I could remember the exact name of the one I got, it might have been called Maple Pecan Chocolate. The food truck also sells popcorn and apple cider. My donut was $4. Since this is a food truck, and it was raining, I had no option but to take it to my car. This donut was jam packed with pecans, chocolate and maple frosting. It was so sticky, and messy but absolutely delicious! The donut it's self was super soft and fresh! These donuts need to be known about. I can't even imagine how tasty the other options are.
