OK I'm kind of a cake snob. I actually once won a bake off because I made 400 cupcakes that everybody loved the most. I have to say before I went here I couldn't wrap my head around what the big deal was. But curiosity killed the cat and so I came for a visit. This is soo good. Perfectly executed tasty delicious cake with perfectly delicious frosting. They even have a gf version which I got for a friend. The woman who helped us was so sweet. She bent over backwards to accommodate our order. Maybe she was flattered. I suppose it's not every day you get people coming in from NC to try your cupcakes on the way to see their family. The place is immaculately clean and cheerful with their artsy sprinkles on the wall in glass as decor. read more

Aaaaaaaaaaa, What a fantastic fine just by driving by and seeing some of their customers walking to their cars with their hands filled with their lil white bags .... Curiosity !!! I had no clue what to expect but when you walk into this lil cake shop ya nose tells you are about to have an amazing Cake Experience !! I was greeted by The Mom who told me the story on how her daughter started this business...... Very Friendly & gave me the lowdown on the most popular lil mini cakes .... Im sorry I forgot her name but she wad just so polite and showed me their larger cakes & designs truly amazing!!!! They use Millions & Millions of Pareils aka sprinkles to decorate all their cakes It's insane !!! I went with two of their famous original classic white as you could see they look incredible; When I got home, me and the wife made a cup of coffee and we can't tell you enough how delicious these little cake were from start to finish In fact you're gonna want more than one so get two each !!! Lol !! Can't wait to go back and try their other cakes might even order one for this Father's Day. If it's not too late like I said, they make large cakes as well...... Highly recommend and if you'd like cake topped with nonpareils you will love their cakes.... That little mini cake you say hands-down was like the best cupcake I ever had in my life !!! A very unique cakery that uses custom sprinkles to personalize their cakes, cupcakes and cookies. My daughter have had it multiple times at birthday parties & I came here twice for their classic white cake dotcups. The staff are super friendly and everything on display looked so appealing. I really enjoyed their cake- it was tasty, moist & fluffy, though the frosting + sprinkles are way too sweet for me but my daughter loved it (her fave part). Stopped by while I was in Roslyn because I love cake (please see all my bakery reviews) and I was curious! I got a variety pack of cake cups, and so far I only tried the chocolate one, but it was very good. The person working that day (the owner?) told me they freeze really well, so I got the variety pack and froze the other 3 that I decided not to eat that day. She packed them up for me with a lid so I could freeze them, as the display shows the top of all 4 of them. The frosting (as another commenter mentioned) tastes a bit like grocery store betty crocker frosting, and I also felt the same when I had it. Its a bit sweeter than I personally enjoy, but the cake was wonderful. It was moist and flavorful. The people working that day were kind, and I enjoyed my cake. The store itself is very cute and I liked the candles and other items they had for sale. I was interested in the dot cookies as well, but felt like 4 dotcakes were sufficient for this trip. I'm excited to work my way through the rest of the flavors and I'll probably be back! read more

My employer had a cool event today and these cupcakes were out for grabs. I was pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness and freshness in my cup! It was a full cupcake in a cup! It was soft, fresh, and topped with delicious frosting. Truthfully, it tasted like the frosting from a better Crocker jar. (My favorite!) I know, I know, Betty Crocker/grocery store bought frosting? Yes, probably not the same, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! Love the way the cup was filled yet the logo was perfectly intact and so was the cake inside. Just cool! read more

I used to find the process of ordering these cakes stressful. But they have streamlined the process and you can now get beautiful, delicious cakes without having to plan weeks in advance. Also, these cakes are not just beautiful, they actually taste fantastic. And now they sell cake scraps so you can buy containers filled with chunks of the fabulous cake for really cheap! We had the opportunity to try the talked about Dot Cakes thanks to Too Good To Go. Pickup was fast and easy. The door is typically locked but you can just ring the bell and someone will assist you. We brought home three cake scraps cakes. Each were equally delicious with perfectly places sprinkles (aka dots) on top. They were so beautiful that it was difficult to want to eat them and mess up the perfection! While the cakes may be a bit sweet for some they're definitely an excellent way to enjoy a beautifully decorated cake without all the fondant. read more

They went above and beyond! We've used The Dot Cakes for a number of our celebrations over the years. They are delicious and decorated beautifully. Everyone's always impressed with the presentation and comment on how delicious the cakes are. Our most recent party was at a venue in Suffolk that had very strict requirements for bringing in outside desserts. The Dot Cakes were patient and worked with the venue.
