I used to get lunch there prior to COVID, and they were okay then. I used to order their rice noodles and salt and pepper chicken, which was cooked nicely and tender and you could see the salt and pepper. Now that we are back in the office, I decided to get lunch there today. I ordered a two-entree combination plate of sweet and sour pork, salt and pepper chicken and rice noodles, because I remember how good they were. She said okay and placed the order. What I received, however, was chow mein that is made with noodles that taste like top ramen. The sweet and sour pork is cooked dry and crunchy and lacks both flavor and sweetness, and the salt and pepper chicken is cooked hard, dry and also flavorless. Tastes like they forgot to add the salt and pepper. The entrees definitely do not look or taste the way they used to. Let me back up... I didn't see the chow mein until I got back to my desk, at which point I packaged the meal back up and walked back over to the restaurant (sure did) because I wanted what I paid for. The lady took my meal to the back, and a man who I assume is the cook came out and asked me about the rice noodle like he didn't understand why I requested it. I pointed out to him where it shows "rice noodles" as an option on the huge wall menu. He said they no longer make it and asked if I wanted a little more chow mein. At that point I was irritated and took my food and left. I won't cause a scene demanding a refund; I just will NEVER eat there again. That's what I get for not bringing my lunch. It's the closest place within walking distance for some good Vietnamese food. I got the rare beef pho and added beef balls. The food was good, but the packaging needs some improvement. For starter, the noodles and rare beef were packed together with the soup so by the time I got back to the office to eat my soup, the beef was over cooked and the noodles soaked up a lot of the the soup. Secondly, the bowl used to pack the soup has an air hold on top, unbeknownst to us, our soup was slow spilling while we were dodging a very rainy and windy day back to the office. Also because of the weather, we did not have an option to sit there and eat. They only have outside seating, I believe. read more

Dragon House is a complete whole in the wall to-go lunch place serving up Chinese and Vietnamese Americanized food. Greasy, hot food that is served in large quantities. The kind of food that fills your belly but not necessarily satiate your culinary taste buds. I recently ordered the wor wonton soup. It was a cold day, and I wanted something hot. From my past experience, I was not expecting a ton of wontons. I would be stoked if I got more than three (like Abby with at least one in Ghostbusters). But hey this time around, the soup was swimming with wontons. There were shrimp, decent amount of thin slices of light chicken meat, and some slices of char sui (bbq pork) with a spattering of bean sprouts, broccoli, and sliced cabbage. But no noodles, last time (a few months ago) it had thin soup noodles with hardly any or none of the above mentioned items. The broth had way more flavor than the last time as well. The call in ordering process is wonky. I called to place my order. Right after I told her what I wanted, she hung up. Not telling me anything more such as the wait time or price. 22 minutes later, I am physically in the shop waiting in line. I get to the front and tell her I called in an order for wor wonton soup. She is a woman of few words and says "wait". So I stand and wait. A few minutes later, she shouts out "wor wonton soup". I go up to the counter and she waves at a lady sitting down, the lady shakes her head no. I said I called in an order ( as I did before). She does not give me the order even though no one else is claiming it. I am in a stand off now. I realize that I have not paid yet and can walk my sad self somewhere else. Love their Raw Steak Noodle Soup. It's a thin sliced beef served with thin rice noodles. I think it's way better than their Wor Wonton Soup.

My favorite item from here is the vietnamese charred pork over rice. The rice is viet rice. The pork has a nice marinate and thin little slices. The portion is great too and comes with a nice green salad too. The price is wonderful too. . Also it's a great walk from work which isn't too far away. It's next to la bou if your wondering. . My co worker got some chow mein and fried rice here which he chose veggie option. I tasted it and loved it. I was surprised how comforting it was. Those were what he chose to bring to a pot luck and it fed many of us too. . My other co worker got a banh mi sandwich from here and I forgot I'f she liked it or not. Service was good...hesitant to return bc it just wasn't that good and surprised they did not have Sriracha sauce. They only let you do half rice/half chow mein with a one item combo. The sweet and sour pork was lacking in flavor and quantity. They seemed to give me more of the chow mein and rice as filler. I would come back. The place is small but there are spaces to sit outside. I ordered grilled chicken bánh mì, and grilled pork spring rolls. I wish that they toast up the sandwich before putting the meat inside of it. The sandwich was stale but the inside was quite yummy. I would give the sandwich a two out of five. The spring rolls were delicious. But there were only two. They cut the two rolls into four pieces. Inside the rolls we're just salad and the protein. Even though it was delicious, for the price and the amount, I probably wouldn't order it again. I would rate the spring roll a 4 out of 5. For the location, parking availability, and price I would say 2 out of 5. It's hard to find parking and the price is a bit high. Two orders came out to be around 11$. read more

The egg rolls are thick but slightly shorter than average, and the filling is what you expect in a Viet egg roll with a lot of meat (no innuendos intended, you dirty minded people ). 4 stars only because the egg roll insides were slightly not the quality I was hoping for, but the wrapper was legit and taste was still good. If you are a first timer coming to Dragon House, you better know up front what you want because there is nothing sitting out front to help you visualize what your options are, which is a complete failing on their part because the visual aspect is what sells. I've seen guys walk in here, look at the counter, ask what they serve, get a blank look back from the register gal, and then turn and leave. *NOT GETTING THE PICTURE* THE LOWDOWN Once a great stop with excellent customer service, and good portions for excellent cost. This place made me really miss Bambu, I wasn't really expecting it to be better than Bambu, but I was hoping for something decent. Instead I got a drink that was pretty awful, the Dragon House Special. Way too much syrup from the canned fruit was included so instead of coconut juice, it tasted like watered down syrup. So the drink itself wasn't good, so I figured I would just eat the fruit inside... the longan was bad... it was old and I think it had gone bad... I had to spit it out... and I love canned longan (I actually enjoy it better than the fresh fruit longan even). I think I should have realized from how dark the longan was, but I tried to convince myself it was maybe because it was canned and it'd been awhile since I had canned longan, but no I was let down. If this drink was all that I ever had here it would be a one star, but the owner is super nice and I do enjoy the sandwiches here. I'd give the sandwiches three stars.
