Then at the HMB Pumpkin Festival this past October Bay Home & Window had a booth. We stopped, talked, and make an appointment for a consultant to come out. After a scheduling delay due to overbooking at the Festival we got an appointment. On the day of the appointment the window designer Sarah was on time. Based on our needs she made recommendations which we concurred with. Measurements were taken and an order was placed. We paid 1/2 advance. Over the next two month projected timeframe we received email updates. When our product arrived to the warehouse we received a call for installation date. This afternoon our window installer arrived within the two hour window. Robert A. He was friendly and very competent. He completed our installation in 1/2 hour. I had plantation shutters installed throughout my entire home several years ago. I spent thousands…read moreof dollars I believe it was 15,000 or so. One of my louvres broke on one of the shutters so I called Windowology and I spoke with Joe who asked me to send him photos of the broken louvre. We discovered that it had just fallen out because one of the pins holding it in place was broken. Easy fix! Joe said he would be happy to send somebody over but I needed to pay in advance $300 before I could set up an appointment and that would be the cost of the repair. I went on Amazon and bought the pins myself for $7.99 and I put the pin in and I popped the louvre in easily. It just made me so disappointed that a company would treat a customer that way and charge $300 for something that could be fixed for $7.99. A better customer service would've been to let me know about these pins and tell me how to fix it myself and not try to extort money from me after being a good customer. I forgot to mention that after I emailed Joe the photos of my problem he never called me back. I waited three days and had to contact him myself. I definitely would not recommend this company. To make it even more frustrating they are a mile from my home. If I was the owner of the company, I would've stopped by with the seven dollar pin and fixed it myself.
