Not closed! (They are seasonally closed for winter, but it's not closed forever.) Delicious breaded tenderloin sandwich & ice cream enjoyed with our family this weekend. Yum. Still full at dinner time. Cheap eats! No credit cards accepted

A bit out of the way for this Lafayette resident, but I always make several visits during the summer.

Best small town food in the area. Worth the drive from Lafayette and the wait if there is a line. Great ice cream selection.

The entrance on the side of the building can be tricky to notice, so don't blink, otherwise, you might miss it. Since I'm not from Lafayette, I looked it up ahead of time on Google Maps and zoomed in to see exactly where it was. The restaurant is medium-sized and kept clean, with generous portion sizes. I ordered an Impossible burger with fries, which was fine. My friends ordered shrimp linguine, which they enjoyed, while another friend got gyros fries and nachos; she thought her meal was just okay. Overall, my experience was average, but everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their meals. If you're in the area, I would recommend checking it out, it's worth a try!

Flavor Country is a new restaurant in downtown Lafayette. I'll start with the good. The side mac n…read morecheese was good and a decent portion for $6. The sandwiches were very good. We had the grinder and the fried chicken sandwich. The grinder had great flavor. The fried chicken breast sandwich is brined and the meat has a pink hue that has caused some people to think it's not cooked thoroughly. But that is not correct according to the restaurant. It's due to the brining process for the chicken. The prices were good. The service was good. The not so good, the fries are hand cut and thin. They would have been great except they were lukewarm and seemed to have been sitting out awhile. The onion rings were terrible. Also hand cut but the breading fell off all the onions. They did not have good flavor either. I recommend coming into the building by Nom Nom if you have people who have trouble with stairs. The other entrance has two steps but there's no railing. My 81 year old mother had trouble with that. We learned of the other entrance and used that one when we left.
