This is where I stayed during my first trip to Seattle! I lOVE this place so much! The view downstairs is absolutely beautiful at night, as you look out at the far stretch of water and the setting sun. I went during the fall (my favorite season) and it was just amazing. The view from my window was the city. I could see the needle! The fire place was a cute touch as well. I truly adored the lamps in the room and my bathroom was super mod and chic! I was lucky enough to be given a 2 night stay here as a gift from my aunt when I was visiting Seattle. We had a room right on the water next to the Beatle's suite. The decor is very woodsy and kind of reminiscent of a cabin in the woods. The warm cozy feel of this hotel extends from the entrance to your room. I love the water view from the room we stayed in. We were literally on the water. I opened the window and we could see the water directly underneath us and all of the boats and the breathtaking sunset. The bathrooms were amazing with some kind of natural stone in the entire shower and the floors. This hotel is an amalgam of modern technology (the big screen tv, fireplace, shower, sinks) and retro cabin in the woods feel with the decor. It really was cozy and nice to sit by the fireplace in our room to warm up at night. The staff was very helpful and the service, impeccable. I didn't use any of the beverages, snacks, soap, robes or alcohol though as they do charge more than the items were worth to use it but it was nice to know that should I have wanted any of those items, they were right there at my disposal. I love the showers, they were so fun and cool to use. This hotel really was amazing to stay at. Literally on the water, look out the window and watch the sun rise and set, see seals swimming right under your window. There are very few places on this earth where you can experience that. My only reservation about this place is the parking set up. There is validated parking only at the hotel which is $33 a day but you can come and go as you please. I parked across the street in the lot one night and on the the street (Wall St. ) side parking across the railroad. The parking hardly is a deal breaker. I suggest everyone stay at least one night in this place when in Seattle. It's quite the experience and in the heart of Sea town, you can't beat it. read more

The reviews for the Edgewater seem mixed, but we loved this place! We got a good last minute deal on a room, and received a free upgrade to a suite. Our room was spacious, clean, somewhat rustic in appearance and with a nicely stocked mini bar. We had no problems whatsoever with noise. Our view was nice, towards downtown with a huge balcony. I was disappointed that there were no cruise ships in the harbor, which would've been fun to watch, but the view over the water was beautiful! I did feel like our room was quite a bit of a walk though, took forever to go get something from the car, walking down what seemed like a quarter mile of corridor and back. The hotel decor follows that rustic-meets-modern hipster style, which made me laugh, but in all seriousness, I thought the style suits the spirit of Seattle or even the NorthWest in general. We greatly envied the huge bear-footstools for sale in the gift shop. Almost bought one! Brief parking tip: Hotel parking is expensive ($35 I think), but parking on the street is cheap (couple bucks) and easy. There were parking spots all the way along the hotel parking lot. Arriving in the early evening, we paid for just a few hours of parking, and thanks to a new Seattle initiative, you can park ahead for the first hours of the morning too! So no getting up early, just buy your morning ticket in the evening after dinner, and get back to your car any time before 10pm! PS: Sorry Edgewater about the seagull frenzy at the side of your hotel a few weeks ago. We saw a cute fat seagull on our balcony, who looked like he wanted something to eat. We threw him a piece of butterflake roll that we had left over from the previous day. Only then did it become apparent that he was running a racket with the other seagulls. As soon as we fed him, our balcony was swarmed by 1,000 frantically squawking seagulls demanding butterflake rolls. We quickly retreated inside, but I fear the damage had already been done. The service at Edgewater was good. The food was really delicious! I had the filet mignon and it melted in my mouth. What stood out to me most was the lobster Mac and cheese! Must try!! Parked my car with the hotel valet and they damaged it and will not take responsibility. Five star service means providing great customer experience including owning up to mistakes and short comings. Believe the 1-2 star posts. Beauty is only skin deep on this hotel. $36 dollar a night valet $5 dollar an hour Internet, rude service and paper thin walls. We arrived at 5pm and they were "booked" we had a reservation for 2 nights for a family of 4... All they had was a king bed. They were gracious enough to move us the second night to a room with 2 beds and a water view except when we came back from our days travels we never received the upgrade to the waterview allthough they offered to "upgrade" us for $75 dollars. When I went to the room and called the manger all the waterview rooms were mysteriously gone. We now have a tree view since there is a tree directly in front of our window. Maybe it will muffle the sound from the freight trains across the street. *** I've messaged the owner with no response after he asked me to contact him. More false promises... read more

Ok, I am writing this review based on the fact that I recommend my family to stay here. My Boyfriend and I moved to Belltown a year or so ago, We have a small place and have always thought this was a landmark type of place. Well landmark yes, But Holy S**T I was amazed at a few things: Room $300.00 a night OK we knew this but NOT worth it at all. Parking $36.00 a night REALLY EDGEWATER ??? Trains all night and neighbors keep them up all night. No Free WiFi and extra $10.00 a day . It would be so nice for you to offer it to out of town tourist means so many people like to plan their day in their room where they have their laptops. Instead of going to a coffee house or a small local diner that invests in making things convenient for guest's and tourist. (thanks Uptown Espresso and Lucky Diner) The Good The tub was big and nice for my sisters twins they loved it !! And the fireplace in late August was nice . Advertised as "fishing outside your hotel window", Edgewater hotel stays true to its name with a beautiful side facing Elliott Bay. Unfortunately, we did not get a room with an ocean view, but one with the space needle and train tracks. No worries - the hotel management is thoughtful enough to provide earplugs for light sleepers, and I didn't mind the "modern" feel. Love the fireplace in my room with automatic timers to turn on/off as desired :) The beds are soft with extra foamy pillows and comforters to make my experience THAT much better. The lobby & entrance is absolutely gorgeous with a stunning right-on-pier view with many pictures of famous people who visited here. The restaurant is also quite fancy - try the fried calamari! This hotel is a really great place to stay because it's close to Pike Market and Downtown Seattle - literally a 10 minute walk away! From Downtown Seatte, you can take the lightrail to International District or SeaTac Airport, or monorail to Space Needle - very convenient! read more

Is it possible to fall in love with a hotel? It was 'wow' at first sight. It was a contented sigh when I opened the door to my room. I loved my stay in this hotel. The bellstaff was MORE than accommodating when my co-worker accidentally left her computer charger here when she checked out - first I wanted to leave it for her, then I wanted to take it to her, and finally I returned to the hotel to leave it for her overnight. For all of this back-and-forth they were gracious, good-humored, and refused a tip TWICE. (Considering that staff at other hotels in Seattle have YELLED at me for mistakenly hailing a cab within a block of the entrance, thus was truly above and beyond service)! But that's only the staff, and the facility is something to shout about as well! Beautiful water views, a relaxing soaking tub, and a fireplace with a fuzzy-bear footstool were highlights of my stay. For New Year's Eve my boyfriend and I stayed at the Edgewater in a Waterview Premium Room - about $350.00/night, including tax. Yeah, I know what you're thinking - OUUCH. The room itself was nice, on the third floor and overlooking the water. However, we couldn't help but compare it to the Salish Lodge, which had a very similar "rustic lodge" style. Salish's furnishings were more updated. Being that Edgewater was smack downtown Seattle on the waterfront, it probably couldn't offer the same large jetted tub, newer carpeting and furnishings that Salish did. But for the price, we did expect something *more*. Although we'd booked weeks ago and paid more for the premium suite, when we checked in (right around check in time) we were given a room directly across from the elevators. To the staff's credit, they immediately offered us another quieter room, albeit on the first floor. After comparing the two, we stuck with the first room, as the views were nicer. The noise wasn't as bad as we'd thought it might be (although the booze and dancing may have just knocked us out altogether). Tried checking out late by calling front desk day of at 10am. They were apologetic and said that they've reached their max checkouts, due to arrangements with the housekeeping staff. For the price and the caliber that Edgewater was trying to convey, I think the service and furnishings left something to be desired. read more

I love, love, loved this hotel. It was cozy and romantic, like an upscale log cabin, and our room was right over the ocean on our tiny balcony. We walked to the ferris wheel, the aquarium, and would have walked to Pike's if we didn't have other things to do :) It is close to most of the tourist attractions, minus Boeing Field's aviation museum (which was our main purpose for coming to Seattle). Our room had a fireplace with a couple chairs and the absolute cutest foot stool that looked just like a grizzly bear. I ended up purchasing one from the gift shop because I had to have it for my own house. The room was a bit small, and the mini bar not particularly varied in stock, but the bathrooms were updated and everything was functional, clean, and quiet. I have no complaints about the valet, they were quick and efficient. We dined at the attached restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The dinner was so amazing, but the booth that we were seated at was a bit cramped. Breakfast was also delicious but for some reason my omelette came out lukewarm, and the server threw it in the microwave for a couple minutes upon request. The view from the restaurant in the day was just gorgeous! Overall, I'd love to come back to stay here! Hopefully soon :) read more

NOT thrilled! Claims to be a high end hotel destination, nothing but problems. Rude staff, the A/C in our room never worked. They say they have a shuttle to drop off and pick up from all the hot spots around the city but they never came back. We called 6 times and they claimed they past us 4 times and refused to come back. They NEVER came by we were out by the curb and never saw the shuttle again. I would not recommend staying here even for one night! To top it off the Wifi was shotty at best. The Edgewater is my FAVORITE hotel in Seattle because the ambiance truly depicts that "Northwest Feel." It's like a big PNW lodge but done tastefully with a touch of modern.(as someone else mentioned) I actually spent my wedding night and four additional nights here...it was magnificent! The night after our wedding, many of our out of town guests came back to the hotel with us after a day at The Space Needle. We took over the hotel lobby and a waitress brought our drinks to us from the neighboring bar. Even serving drinks to almost fifty of us, she served them with a smile! When everyone headed out (to my parents) for dinner, my new hubs, brother in law and a handful of close friends went via taxi to Palisade. (see review) And when the meal was done...a LIMO was waiting to take us back to the Edgewater!! Seriously?? If I had known this, I would have taken the limo (not the taxi) there is the FIRST place! This is the ONLY hotel I will stay at when in Seattle...when you find the best, its easy to forget the rest! ;0) read more

I have taken friends there after walking around the sculpture part and we enjoy it so much. I have been there twice and plan to visit there again and again. When you drive up to this lovely hotel you are in awe. The waterfall with firepits - yes! Then the lobby - so cool and rustic. Then you walk to the room and it's adorable. The bathroom has LATHER - hands down one of my all time favorite products - which you can purchase in their gift shop. The gift shop is a treat - with a great coffee shop. The restaurant is perfection. It's just a wonderful place. My only neg. is the thin walls. Not sure what they could do about them...so def. bring a sleeping aid or ear plugs. Other than that...it's perfect. I would go back an stay for sure....would dine everytime there and get the smoked cedar plank salmon. Oh and the bear footstools ~ so adorable. I'm actually quite surprised to see negative reviews. My husband and I just stayed there for a week, and we absolutely loved everything about the hotel. Very friendly and kind staff, beautiful setting, most convenient location, outstanding decor, etc. What's not to love!? Unfortunately we didn't get to eat at the restaurant, but both the restaurant and the bar were beautiful. We will have to visit both the next time we are there. The valet is pricy, and to park over night is $40+! But no big deal!! There are ample street parking all around, and they're free from 8pm to 8am. So the entire time we were there, we didn't even spend $20 for overnight parking. Thank you, Edgewater! I'm telling everyone about our wonderful experience!! read more

I will definitely stay here again just for the location. My room was very clean and nice but pretty small. I didn't mind because I got a great deal on Travelocity and I like the city view. The location was the best. I was able to walk everywhere. And when I got tired of walking, they offered free shuttle service downtown every hour. And a Town Car airport service when I left for about $5 more than a cab ride. It was nice. The bar and restraurant were amazing... but a little pricey. The view was incredible and the food amazing. I had a small party (~20 people) in the bar area on a Friday afternoon with little trouble. read more

Right on the water, and a few min walk to Pikes Market/ downtown, or they have a shuttle service that leaves at the top of every hour. Our room was nice. Quite small, but cozy and complete with a view of the harbor and mountains and a warm fireplace. Next time I'm in Seattle I would definitely consider going back here. Their response, $500 minimum...OK, put me to the front desk​ and I'll rent a room. Yes sir, how can I help you? I need a room for a medical technology demonstration for approximately 1 hour could you find one available at 11 am​. Yes, we can accommodate​ you at $521 including tax. The Edgewater is an aging hotel with a decade old interior, unwillingness to make a​ cost appropriate deal while believing they can charge Ritz pricing...ha. I will revise and add multiple stars. Other than what's mentioned below everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and the bar and restaurant, while expensive, is very good. The hotel is dated and there is an old smell to the room. The balcony is nice and the fireplace is a nice touch. They will charge you an $80 per day incidental charge at check in. For us that was over $300. If you travel with a certain budget in mind then it can ruin it. The staff was rude when we asked about it. I have never stayed at any hotel that charges for incidentals up front. They also don't have coke machines and pretty much force your hand on the stupid mini bar in your room if you get thirsty. My wife and I were very much looking forward to staying here and now I would rather be anywhere else. read more

We remarked more than once over the long weekend that it felt like we were on a cruise! We opted for the more expensive Superior Waterfront room, and it was definitely worth it. There's nothing in front of you or below you except for Puget Sound. We watched the ferries, cruise ship and booze cruises come and go in front of our panoramic window (with 2 leather chairs and a fluffy bear footrest!). Very relaxing! Some reviewers have called the room large and some have called it small. I would say it's somewhere in the middle, but it's all you need for 2 people. The room is appointed very well - I especially loved the quartzite in the bathroom and the carpet in the room. The shower was excellent, and my wife enjoyed the tub. The reason I did not give this hotel a top rating is because of the bed. We got the King Bed, and it was hard as a rock. We considered checking out early because it really hurt our backs, but the other amenities outweighed the bed issue so we stayed. read more

PROS: - located along the water front which is nice (if you get a room on that side of the hotel) - nice restaurant and bar in the hotel - valet service is one of the best i have dealt with - located right between the city center and the market (a couple of the tourist must sees) CONS: - smallest rooms i have ever seen. I stay in a lot of hotels, and this one barely had room for the queen size bed, no exageration. i know they have larger rooms, but they really make you pay for them. - train that runs next store every 15 minutes. this didnt bother me, but it's loud enough they have ear plugs in every room - thin walls. many hotels are like this, but its true what many other says...you can hear everything around you - shower only. this was also okay with me, but if you are on vacation and like a tub, then this is a no go. over all i was okay with the stay. for the price it wasn't a terrible place, but i will probably try another hotel, or dish our another few dollars at another place to try and get a room that is a normal size. My room was soooo beautiful and relaxing! The view was amazing ! I was taking a bubble bath in a gorgeous tub overlooking the water! Of course it rained the whole time I was there but luckily I had a nice fireplace in my room ! The hotel bar was fun and exciting with live music ! My dad and I sat down at the bar looking to have a drink with a good view. We said hello to the bartender with no response, there were 5 other patrons at the bar and we waited 15 minutes and the bartender would not even acknowledge us. He continued to serve the others sitting at the bar, again without acknowledgement that we were even sitting there. Staff makes you feel very unwelcome. If the building had feet one could say it dips its toes in the water. you see the water from many places in the property and it's beautiful from each and every angel inside and outside the hotel. My company has an arrangement with the hotel and paid for my room. I don't know how much it cost but it was probably less than what they charge the regular tourist. Therefore I did not get the best room in the house. that means no water view room for me. bummer. But even though I enjoyed my stay here and will be happy to use the Wateredge for my next visit. The service is excellent and the lobby is beautiful and welcoming. I was alone for business and felt at ease at the lobby and at the restaurant. The room although not impressive was comfortable and the fireplace is a very nice touch. I loved the woodblocks table next to it. The bathroom is huge and sparkling clean, the bed is super comfy, and the sheets are clean, soft and pleasant to touch. Nice pillows as well. I wouldn't come with my family for a vacation, but will happily spend my nights here again for business travel. read more

Using Priceline's name your own price, I got the beau and me an awesome weekend deal at the Edgewater. I was skeptical about this place at first because of some negative yelp reviews. But I had to go with it since my reservation could not be changed. HOWEVER, the bf and I had a great time during our stay. We could not have asked for a better time with the rare, but beautiful sunny weather alongside the lake. The service was superb as well, from the cleaning crew to the front desk to the guys who drove the free shuttle. The room was smaller than I would've liked, but that's okay because we didn't fly out to stay inside the room. We had a working fireplace waiting for us upon entering the room. We had the industrial side of the hotel. The view wasn't anything to rave about, but I guess it was nice to be able to see the space needle out the window. We couldn't upgrade to the lakeside because the hotel was at full capacity, but I would highly recommend doing so if you get the chance. A lot of people were complaining about train tracks being so loud at night. We were on the 4th floor and slept just fine. I do think they need to do something about the beds though. We were waken up by the couple next door at 6 in the morning, all I could hear for 10 minutes was "eeee eeee eeeee" sound from the mattress. Aside from that little hiccup, the room was cozy and I like the recently remodeled bathroom. The free shuttle service they offer is great as well! The shuttle leaves every hour on top of the hour, and we used it to get to the space needle for dinner. They were able to pick us up as well, just make sure you arrange it ahead of time. The location is pretty good too. It isn't as centralized as I would like in terms of the different places we visited, but the hotel is walking distance to pike's place, the ferry, and the aquarium. Make sure you check out the Six Seven Restaurant located inside the hotel. They've got a great happy hour special, and you can't beat the view from this place. Loved it! Really cute lodge-like interior, but kinds of modern. Bathrooms were new & had a great rainshower & the beds & pillows were fluffy and comfortable. We had a view of Puget Sound which was quite lovely and a fireplace in the room. The only problem we had was the tv didn't work so we had their technician in there at least once or twice a day and didn't get it going until the last night we were there. I think it was a good thing anyways- we we're on vacation, we didn't really need to watch tv. They offered us a free breakfast in the hotel restaurant, which was fantastic so it ended up being fine with us. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the Pike Street Market & it's only a couple blocks from the space needle (up hill though, just to warn you). They say they have a shuttle hourly to the market but we never took it, opting for a cab a couple times when it was raining pretty hard out. If you're staying here, they will pick you up from the airport for a flat rate of $40 with their towncar service, a cab cost us $38.50. The "Towncar" actually ended up being a limo on the way back to the airport! So glad my friend suggested this to me! read more

What's not to like? The location is easy to get to and unique. One could jump into the sound from the balcony of a water-view room. My room had a fireplace that actually did take the January chill out of the air. And the high thread-count sheets feel like butter. The staff are great too! The hotel has a bit of history, so we stayed there while in Seattle. The Beatles and other famous musicians stayed there one time in their executive suite on top. Supposedly, their advertisement of "fishing from your room" invited many people back in the days. They said people weren't just catching small fishes, they were catching 30-40 pounders. Some left the fishes under the bed mattress. Some brought to kitchen for cooking, etc, etc.. Sounded all good. Now, as far as the real hotel experience, it was okay. It's an old building, obviously. The carpet is old. The rooms were renovated, however, it still had a CRT TV. The fireplace would not work. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, so our stay was just fine. The lobby is very nice with a nice water view. The restaurant seemed to be very popular, but we didn't eat there. The bad part, the parking. It's $30 per night and valet only. There is no other parking. On our last night, I parked the car outside at the meter since it's free 8 PM - 8 AM. I should have done that for all nights. I could have spent $100 on delicious food. So, park your car elsewhere unless you're so worried about getting it stolen or vandalism. It's in walking distance from the Space Needle or Pikes Market. So, it's very convenient to access many tourist venues. If I visit Seattle again, I would look for another hotel unless I get a sweet deal. read more

So my partner and I just spent 3 nights at The Edgewater and out experience was really exceptional. We do a lot of traveling and The Edgewater met and sometimes exceed our expectations on this trip. The rooms are very cozy with fireplaces in them. They have gorgeous stone showers and the beds are pretty comfy. They offer a free shuttle that will take you anywhere within a mile and a half and just about everything you'd want to see is within that mile and a half. (Pike's Place, The Space Needle, The Underground Tour, Ferry Rides, Bus stations, etc.) The restaurant inside (six seven) has great food and they have really good beers on tap. And the service was good. If I had a complaint id say it's a little pricey. The hotel staff service was noticeably better than some places I've stayed. They let us have an easy check in and held our bags while we explored the market on our last day before our late flight. But what I noticed most was the house keeping staff. They were always really friendly and always said hello. It was just a know touch and you can tell they train their staff to go the extra mile. Well done. I've stayed here three times now over the past six months. I travel quite a bit so "consistency" is mandatory to keep me as a customer. That's one of the areas where this hotel excels. It has a consistently good front desk, cleaning, and food service and the gift shop is one of my favorites in the country. read more
