Great food. I have been there several times and eaten something different each time. The portion sizes are large and everything is prepared perfectly all at a great price. I come here for lunch often. There is a lot of variety on the menu and the service is always good. Tonight I am here for half off martinis and crab cake. The chips were a little burnt so I asked for the fries. The young lady was very kind. The fries were burnt too. Lol. Oh well. Gave the place another chance the first time got the eggs benedict tasted like they added way to much lemon to the hollandaise sauce and they got my order wrong . I love this place! The prices are reasonable and I'm pretty they serve the best French toast ever. Sometimes you have to wait a little while due how busy it may be but it is always well worth the wait. Oh! I love their lemonade as well. My husband offered to treat me to breakfast this morning & since we do organic when we can & prefer local restaurants to chains, we decided to try The Egg Bistro. We've heard great things about it from friends too. We only waited 5-10 minutes, which was unusual. Every staff member was pleasant & friendly. The atmosphere & decor are very comfortable, not too much or too little. We each ordered different types of omelettes. I had the veggie one for all the vegetables: onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach, & subbed avocado for the listed asparagus, then added chicken. The waitress had no problem with my customizations, which many others usually do. Instead of the standard sides I had a ruby red grapefruit. My husband had the CYO (create your own) omelette with various ingredients, with grits & a biscuit, plus coffee. Our drinks were brought right away & his coffee never got below half full without a refill offer from our waitress, Kaitlyn, or other staff. The food came out quickly, especially considering how full they were. I am happy to report, as I told Kaitlyn, this was the absolute best omelette I've ever had at a restaurant! As good or better than the ones I make at home, but without me having to cook & clean. My husband agreed completely (although cautiously, haha). Mine stayed hot the whole time I was eating! His grits were hot, creamy & not too thick or too thin ~ just right. His biscuit was soft & hot as well. We also liked that they keep a bowl full of little butter packs, so it's spreadable instead of cold & hard. I have eaten at this location twice now once for breakfast and another for dinner. Both times were very good experiences. The restaurant was very clean and my wife and I were promptly seated. Soda refills always occurred before I ran out. Food was fast and hot. I had the spinach lasagna which I felt was a good sized portion. My wife had the fried shrimp which was a large serving. I have friends have eaten here and really enjoy it. If you are in the area give these guys a try. read more

It was slow when they first opened and I assumed it was because they just opened but way later, it was the same. We eat at Broken Egg almost every weekend. We always say we will make it for the early bird specials, but we can never seem to get up early enough. Still if there's a wait, it's well worth it. The atmosphere is great, the hostesses and waitresses are great. You definitely get great portions and tasty food for a very reasonable price. I recommend trying their spicy bloody mary's. I think it's hard finding places that can consistently make a good bloody mary. It's always been good there. I also like that you can order your taters 3 different ways. Can't beat having options. The only reason for 3 stars is this: what I ordered was ok - steak & eggs. You really can't mess up steak & eggs. Well, a cook in a restaurant can, but if he/she does they find another line if work. My problem was the fact that she gave us several side options that were "included" in the price, only to charge me extra on the check. The Broken Egg has been one of my favorite restaurant for years. We have recommended it to many friends and out of town guests. I am hoping that my dinner last night was a result of an off night. My dinner was not of the same caliber that we have come to expect. I had one of my favorite dishes: tuna with 5 pepper sauce with garlic mashers and bacon-wrapped asparagus. While the fish itself was delicious, the sauce was more like a jelly. The asparagus looked puny. Hardly what I would have expected since there was a additional charge for this vegetable.
