Favorite spot for brunch! I recommend this spot for locals and visitors alike. Their pomegranate mimosa is my favorite mimosa in the area and their happy hour prices on the weekend are hard to beat. I think this place really shines in their benedicts - I've had them perfectly good every single time which is where a lot of other places in the area fall flat for me. If I'm not eating the benedict, I will usually go for a "simple" breakfast of eggs, sausage, and toast. The eggs are just always cooked perfectly. I've ventured off and have tried the BLT, a few omlettes, and other various breakfast dishes. They never disappoint. The newer menu features a pork breakfast burrito that is super delicious. Their pepper bacon wrapped asparagus with hollandaise is a great addition to any breakfast. Their cubed hashbrowns are always the highlight to my meals, they are perfectly cooked and so tasty. The service at brunch is always great. I am never waiting for a coffee or water refill. The tables are stocked up with most of anything you may need. Ask the waitress for some gator sauce if you are looking for a tasty hot sauce to top off your eggs! I've stopped in for lunch/dinner a few times. I've always stuck with the burgers for dinner. The Reuban burger is fantastic! Their reuban on the lunch menu is also great. The only thing I have tried and was not a fan of was the pickle burger. The breading on the pickles was fantastic but it was just overall a way too salty dish. Be prepared - on the weekends, there will almost always be a wait. It is easier if you are a small group or are willing to sit at the bar (which is not first come first served on the weekend). However, it's worth the wait every time! read more

This place is like coming home after a long day at work. The staff is so friendly and the food is just delicious across the board. They have the best bartenders you could ask for - Sarah, Deanna, and Regina. You literally can't go wrong with anything on the breakfast menu. Best biscuits and gravy around and the skillet has become my favorite... Ask them to add their gravy to it and add some Frank's hot sauce and you're in for a treat. This place makes the word awesome inefficient. After many unsuccessful breakfast attempts , I finally found this place. Initially the wait was rather annoying , specially that I think they forgot about us. Then I was greated by an awesome waitress and my experience was up hill from that. She managed to keep my splenda , coffe and creamer full at all times, with constant clean ups. She brought the food nice and hot. She kept a smile on all the time and adhered very closely to all requested customizations. The food was plentiful and the quality was nothing short of four stars. BEST BREAKFAST EVER. I don't need another food obsession but because of The Egg Bistro, I do.....cronuts!!! They are the most wonderful thing I have eaten in recent memory. This place was really good. We went there for dinner on a Wednesday night. There was maybe a 15-20 minute wait around 7pm. What was ordered: 1. Sangria - Yum 2. Etouffee - Really good. The chicken was the best part of this. Next time I will ask them to make it spicier. 3. Tuna - Holy goodness Batman. This was divine. 4. Apple dessert - Good but nothing special. I think the food here is pretty average. I had the Harvest with grits, shredded hash browns, scrambled eggs with cheese and corned beef hash. The hash browns and corned beef were hot and flavorful, but the grits didn't have any taste and the eggs fell flat (perhaps slightly overcooked?). If you're looking for basic breakfast food, this place is fine. Better than IHOP but I'm not sure whether this place would win out over Cracker Barrel. Our service was very good and the waitresses were friendly. We came in at around 8:20 on a Sunday morning and there was no wait, but a line had built up by the time we left. read more

Wish I could give it more stars somehow, but egg bistro Chesapeake is the best breakfast place you'll find in the area. Food is excellent. Drinks are excellent. And service is excellent. Everything is fairly priced. On weekends it will be hard to get in, but they have a wait-list they diligently manage and get people in as quickly as possible. Go early. I typically get the eggs benedict, but everything we've had here is great. My wife really likes the French toast and mimosas. My only "knock" on this place is that they do the fold-over method for their omelettes, where the egg surrounds the ingredients. I placed an online order for pickup. When I got there and waited at the bar as the directions said to all of the staff walked by continuously without even a greeting. There was someone else waiting before me and after a few minutes she was helped by one of the waitresses and after she was done the waitress went on to do something else. Another few minutes go by and another customer walked up to the bar and the same waitress that helped the previous customer went over to help her as if I wasn't standing there. I walked closer to where the other customer was standing and after she was helped I finally received some service. Now onto the food. I ordered the steak and scrambled eggs with cheese and honestly I've had better from Denny's. The eggs barely had any cheese and were kinda runny. The steak was dry and didn't have any flavor.
