I absolutely love their happy hour and the happy hour bites - my favorite is the calamari with the empanadas coming in close second. Most recently I got a sandwich that was especially thanksgiving dinner in between two pieces of bread. I really did NOT like it because it wasn't turkey breast from a fresh turkey it was more like prepackaged turkey sliced up. We got the chicken quesadilla to start and that was super good and my bf liked his sandwich (pulled pork). read more

Had a late lunch early dinner there. Must admit, our expectations were low- another Jersey Shore pub grub joint? We were extremely pleasantly surprised- started with an EXCELLENT fish chowder and my wife had a very nice seared tuna app. I had excellent chicken milanese and wife had a what she tells me was an extremely tasty mushroom swiss burger. My husband and I decided to check this place out for Restaurant Week. My husband tried the Apple Cider Mule which was VERY disappointing. You barely tasted any alcohol and it tasted like they used Apple Juice, instead of Apple Cider. It was very dull on flavor. Fortunately, that was the ONLY disappointing thing during our meal. For an appetizer, I got the Garlic Cheese Balls which were AMAZING and they gave you a good amount but I could have just kept eating them. They were so good! My husband got the pierogis which he enjoyed. For our entree, I got the Rigatoni Arrabbiata which, also, was a good portion. It wasn't overly spicy.. but had just the right amount of spice. My husband got the Chicken Pot Pie which he loved. For dessert, he got a Apple Crumb which he said was the best dessert he's had in a long time. I got the Chocolate 'Birthday Cake' which was super fudgey and rich. It was delicious! Everyone there was extremely nice from the hostess to our server to the other servers there as well. This place is so nice inside. It's small but great decor. You can tell this is a local favorite. A lot of people in there were regulars. I would LOVE to try this place again and I would recommend it as well to people! read more

The same people who own the Bar Room in Deal own the Elbow Room. Formerly the Draughting Table, this place really looks nothing like it's predecessor. It was an intermediary restaurant after the Draughting Table called the Portugese Shamrock. I never visited the aforementioned. I'll leave it to your imagination what kind of restaurant it was. I haven't a clue. They've done a nice job with the bar and the dining area as well. We sat at the bar and Jimmy our barman was very friendly and attentive. They feature 11 taps with offerings from local breweries. Nothing like fresh beer from nearby. The menu is varied. I decided on the Sesame Seared Tuna which was a small plate item. It was tuna with a sesame crust over seaweed salad with candied ginger. Excellent job. I will no doubt return because there are a few items I would be interested in trying in the future. The food, beer, friendly atmosphere, and cozy environs all make for a worthwhile visit. read more

This place is so amazing! Went in for dinner and had an FANTASTIC experience. Our waitress Alyssa was kind and considerate. Jonathan the trainee was so professional. He was very inattentive, and got every detail. He bought me many pickles. He served our food quickly and had a smile on his face! I had the special, the Beef Stew. The meat was cooked great, and the mashed potatoes were solid. My family ordered a salad and the short ribs. Impeccable meal! We were all satisfied! 10/10 would recommend. Probably would have given them a 3.5/4 but music (singer/guitar player) was way too loud for this smallish place. The food was good - typical bar/saloon/American fare. Drinks were well done and service was very good. Staff were very friendly and courteous. I found this place through Yelp. Definitely would come here again. I got the meatballs and my boyfriend got a burger which a lady called "beautiful" because she was so fascinated with the burger lol. Everything was absolutely delicious! The Malibu Bay Breeze was by far the best made here at this joint. I have had plenty made by other places and it was made perfectly by the bartender named Missy. The bar area was completely filled when we arrived which was a little after 6pm. They have a happy hour between 3-6 which I just missed so I was pretty bummed about it! The inside is very clean and the staff was very sociable & welcoming....especially Missy! Overall, the rating of this place is very true and I would come back here if I were down the shore again! I've been hearing about this place so hubs & decided to check it out. Wow, what a great place! The inside is extremely warm & welcoming, especially considering the snow squalls outside! A very nice bar area is off to the right & a dining area to the left, actually separated by a wall of the bar area. Makes for a cozy dinner aside from the bar crowd, or a friendly chat with the patron on the next bar stool over if you prefer. Tonight we preferred the latter. There are 8 beer taps; 4 I would not consider craft beer, 2 bordering on craft beer & 2 definitive local craft brews. Love that the local brews are from breweries within a few miles! We arrived during happy hour & our bartender, Jimmy, gave us a happy hour menu to peruse along with a bowl of popcorn. We both ordered a craft beer, $4 each, & we chatted with other locals at the bar. They have small plate appys for $6 so I decided to try their fish tacos. They were very good. I also went with a regular small plate of risotto & shrimp for $14. Both plates came out hot; I loved it! That's not the norm at a lot of places. We shared the risotto & shrimp & it was absolutely delicious!!!!! Wow! Hubs had a tuna dish from the regular menu & it was also cooked to perfection, which was not much. It was equally delicious. We had a great time at the Elbow Room & I can't wait to return for dinner. It was quiet, cozy & not crowded for a Friday evening. This could be one of my new favorite places. The only negative is happy hour ends at 6. For working people, that's a bit too soon. read more

A last minute find after our target place was closed so I will admit it was later in the night when we sat Down. This is more of a cocktail lounge with a very experienced kitchen (for the bar category). However, the food was just that...Not terrible but not great. Me and a friend of mine started with the appetizer platter (wings, two empanadas, mozzarella sticks.) it was ok, wings were very soggy and the empanadas weren't traditional and the dough they were wrapped in was more of a sweet airy filo type of dough. Mozzarella sticks are mozzarella sticks. My buddy got the ribs which were very bland and similar to Applebee's. Seemed to be boiled and then had BBQ sauce poured in right before the plate went out. I had the lobster ravioli which I believe was a special and it was tasty but I have a feeling it was frozen and thawed out in the sauce. (Or at least that's how it tasted.) would suggest more of a mellow tones bar to hangout at and get finger foods. Definitely wouldn't go back for dinner. Walked with my kids on a Friday and we were seated immediately. Complete surprise to be seated so quickly. Felt very welcome here and received impeccable service. Dinner specials were well thought out and generous portions. We were surprised to see the family affordable prices. Started with fresh mozzarella w/pesto drizzle - absolutely sublime. Great choices on kids menu - chicken fingers, elbows n cheese, grilled cheese, PB&J, etc. Includes drink and ice cream. One of the girls had a GIANT chicken pot pie. And delicious. My fried flounder sandwich was extraordinary in size and flavor. Overall, great experience. Awesome to see another great restaurant in BB. Beautiful friendly atmosphere food is pretty good. Service is great and I'm not being paid to say this.

Despite my last review being well over a year ago (!), heaven knows darlings that we haven't been living under a rock. It's now time to start playing Catch-Up, which leads us to this Yelp screed on The Elbow Room... It's a charming little spot right on Main St. in Bradley Beach, at a location that was once known as The Draughting Table (yes, I am dating myself, as there was another restaurant between that and this one, but I forget...). We came here with another couple on a Friday night, and had a marvelous time. The fare is pretty much American, from burgers to ribs to salads to chicken pot pie. The food was quite good, as was the service: they are accomodating and attentive to the point of not being annoying. We shared a couple of apps: calamari (yum!) and wings (yum yum!)...please make sure you try one of these. You won't regret it. The portions are enough to share. The drinks were pretty good too! (hiccup...) The space is a little tight but not uncomfortable. It's a bit energetic as it can be on the loud side; they had live entertainment while we were there. Despite that, we were still able to enjoy conversation in the space. This is definitely a place I'd recommend to Jonathan (remember him??) and to all of you in here in YelpVille USA. read more

4 stars is a joke. Searched online and found this supposedly great place. Couldn't be farther from the truth. Shame on as I had warning signs; as calling a place not visited I asked if they take reservations (or is a first come first serve) and hostess replied with attitude, "we'll of course we do..". OK, maybe the attitude is because they are jammed since food is so good. WRONG! Just unhappy people also evident of our server that evening. Everyone gets a pass on a bad day, but for all people to edgy, that's a top down issue, add the poor food and I fault the owner. Crap rolls down hill. Food, below par. 6 dishes, only one lived up to 4 star, fried calamari with chili sauce. Mussels were horrible, both the shellfish and the sauce(left half the dish). Fish tacos, no taste. Burger as shown in other review pics, the bun wasn't toasted so it was big, dry, and killed the burger. A bun can make or break a burger and this one is broke. Chicken quesadilla, no taste. Kids chicken fingers for our 11 year olds, can't mess that up right? Wrong! No taste. We never leave 1/2 full dishes on the table without taking them, here we did on the mussels and fingers. Waitress didn't even ask how our food was or why so much was left when clearing the table. See prior ownership point, bad stuff starts at the top. Pros: prices are fair: think Diner level, but I've had better food/service at diners, and live music on a Friday night. Won't be back. read more

Came here recently with my family. The place was packed - bar and tables. It's a fairly small building and the noise level was way too high - we could barely hear each other at our own table. The service and food made it worth it though. We had the nachos with chicken to start. I wasn't impressed - only a few pieces of chicken, slightly stale chips, and black olives on the nachos?!? I wish the menu said this otherwise I wouldn't have ordered them. The entrees made up for this though! We had chicken pot pie, broccoli rabe rigatoni, sliced steak sandwich and the roasted turkey gorgonzola salad. They were all amazing!! Overall, would definitely come again on a weekday when hopefully less crowded and skip the nachos. read more

Was So happy to find Elbow Room open on Labor Day after a long day at the beach. Service WAS EXCELLENT and Very Very quick. Our Waitress Alyssa was so awesome, helpful and super friendly. Omg the special Pistachio Chicken was the best Chicken I've ever had. My hubby got the seafood platter and said it was delicious. We got take out here for dinner one night during our stay. Takeout process was smooth. I had the turkey gorgonozla salad - very good portions for takeout, and the salad itself was quite good. I also couldn't resist getting the fried avocado appetizer simply because it was a unique menu item. It was fine - somewhat bland simply due to the nature of avocado; as you might expect, they don't lend themselves to frying as well as say, zucchini. The staff here is hands down the nicest on the Jersey Shore! Have enjoyed every meal we've had here and especially liked sitting outside (where it is definitely much quieter!) The bar is huge and reminds me of Cheers in a way. The indoor table area is comfortable and a tad less rowdy than the bar area but it's still pretty loud inside. This is a new place that has a lot of potential. The food was good. I had the turkey and Gorgonzola salad. Elliot had a wedge. We started with the fish taco app. All were pretty delicious. It seems they're still finding their groove with service. The waitress was friendly and accommodating, but couldn't tell us what drinks and apps were part of the happy hour specials. Seems like that should be top of mind. And the bus boy kept hovering waiting to steal away our plates. Also, the crowd was surprisingly mature and there were a lot of people with babies there (like grandparents, parents and babies all together). Maybe they all know the owners because everyone kept getting a big reception. Anyway, I expected a little more hip crowd -- not that I'm hip or young myself! Nice place though. I was very much looking forward to eating at this restaurant for the first time this summer. I always had a good experience there in the past. I called at 12:20pm on Saturday July 11 for a 8 pm reservation. When I arrived I was told that they had no reservation for my name (Nelson) and made no apologies that they may have made a mistake. In fact, I was asked if I had called the right restaurant. I was finally seated in a far flung table away from the restaurant. What really angers me is the lack of apology from management due to their screw up. This used to be one of my favs in Bradley, but no more. A simple "I'm sorry" would have gone a long way. read more

Excellent meal and Great server. I had the wedge salad and it was amazingly delicious. The table next to us it's her favorite dish there.

What an incredible dining experience. Was on a night out with my 8-year old daughter and was greeted at the front by the hostess and promptly seated us as soon as a table open up. Friendly staff and the tuna and shrimp curry app is incredible. Patti our server was great also. My daughter had a great time. Definitely on our list of favorites and will be back soon. read more
