BYOB RESTAURANT! we had an amazing server named Mia. She recommended some great dishes and we liked everything we got. We got the tom yum soup and man it was spicy! In a good way. However if you don't like spice stay away from the tom yum soup. We decided to add shrimp to the hot pot soup and it included 6 shrimp. We started with the ginger and honey tea and it came in a cute elephant tea pot and was perfect especially given the cold weather. When the food was ready the chef brought out the food so it was very hot when it was brought to our table. We also ordered the Pad Thai chicken, it didn't taste like typical pad Thai but it was yummy. We also ordered the drunken noodle with vegetables and tofu. We like steamed tofu but we forgot to tell them and it came out with fried. One negative was there weren't many noodles in the drunken "noodle" dish so I would recommend to order as many dishes and the number of people you are eating with! Very good other wise. The Mango sticky rice was a good end to our meal and helped calm down the hot flavor in our mouth. read more

We have had take-out here several times. The most recent included spring rolls (3 per order) were very good. I had sweet and sour sauce over shrimp. I ordered extra shrimp and steamed broccoli on the side. Portions are small, but delicious. The regular portion of shrimp is about 4 good sized shrimp, so I was glad that I ordered extra or I would have been left hungry! Shrimp are sauteed (not breaded and deep fried like some asian restaurants) and sauce is fresh and just right. My husband's salmon was cooked the way he requested - slightly "rare" and excellent. Other than a little rice, there were no leftovers due to the small portion size. On a previous visit, a duck with 3 spice seasoning was not very good - the duck was very dry and unappealing. Had lunch there today, extremely small portions, and way overpriced for what was delivered. I ordered the Thai Salad, which arrived with a couple of meager pieces of ice burg lettuce, exactly 5 small pieces of tofu, 2 small tomato slices and 2 cucumber slices. It was supposed to have bean sprouts according to the menu, which were not on the salad given to me, and I had to ask for them. The price for this unsubstantial salad was was $6.95. I was excited about a Thai restaurant opening, but was disappointed. The appetizer was good, but the entrees were mediocre. And they didn't include the dipping sauce for the appetizer (did takeout). We found this place when I was in Geneva @ Thanksgiving. You can drive right to the back door and park in a lot with lots of lighting, which was a huge plus. The restaurant was nicely decorated (fireplaces roaring on many big screen tv sets -- better than having the game on!) and we ordered jasmine tea, crab ragoon, and a few of the noodle entrees -- all were very good! Multiple Huge tv screens on one wall displaying a live aquarium loop of colorful reef fish. 6 of us were visiting from PA and I picked The Elephant from Yelp reviews and they were spot on. We were here on a Tuesday night and it wasn't too busy but there were about 8 tables of guests. The two servers really hustled getting food orders and drinks. Appetizers came out promptly. Main dishes were brought out almost immediately following and all 6 meals came simultaneously. I had Prad Pak, fresh veggies and tofu in a brown sauce served with a side of jasmine rice. The veggies were really fresh, not frozen, cooked just enough to be crunchy. Another person had crispy duck pad Thai and papaya salad. There were compliments all around from every one of our group about how delicious their meal was! Food quality was very good, prices were very reasonable, the menu had great variety. Our sever, Lisa, was very friendly and on top of her game, she made our evening enjoyable. We'd all go back for another dinner without hesitation. Great Thai food! read more

This restaurant is located opposite the Ramada on Seneca Lake. Spacious but not cavernous. Dinner partner's drunken noodles were delicious but too spicy so waitress brought over some rice to cut the heat. Pineapple fried rice with beef was delicious. The first time I have liked Thai food! Ordered "Thai Salad" ----per the restaurant's description it is supposed to include lettuce, tomato, carrots, bean sprouts, cucumber and tofu with peanut dressing. What I recieved was terrible - three outside leaves of iceburg lettuce (not chopped just placed in the bowl), 3 cubes of tofu with shredded carrot and nothing else but dressing. Very disappointing for the $6.95 price. I took a couple bites and it was so unappetizing I had to discard it. read more

They make great food even better. The food here is average Thai food. Nothing exceptional that would warrant the current prices. Service was among the worst I've ever received. I arrived when it just opened. I was the only customer. I waited 30 minutes for my meal and the reason for the extended wait time was because they "had to cook it". Pretty interesting because 15 min after my arrival another couple arrived and was seated, brought drinks, order taken, appetizers served and their lunch being brought to them all before I ever received my meal (which my order was just a basic Pad Thai). Got lobster pad tai - served scalding hot (as if microwaved) which overcooked the lobster and made it quite chewy. Whole dish was pasty and gooey with out much flavor. My husband got calamari which was unappetizing to look at, unflavored served with brown pasty noodles . Also overheated. Wow, nothing light, tasty or inspiring. Basically glop. The food we had last night was amazing! We agreed the tofu vegetable stir fry, drunken noodles and the sampler appetizer. I also suggest finishing with the Tuay! All the food was fantastic! Saturday nights are busy, so it's best to make a reservation. They don't serve alcohol, but let you BYOB and serve to you as if they were selling it. The service was fantastic and very friendly. My wife and I were looking for a dinner location while visiting Waterloo. We happened upon good Yelp reviews for the Elephant and we were not disappointed. I was very excited to not have to travel to Rochester to get good Thai food, however; I was very disappointed. All the vegetables were over sautéed and the broccoli was mush. The carrots were the only vegetables that weren't over cooked besides the mushrooms that must have been frozen because they were so hard I had to spit them out. I ordered several appetizers and several main dishes. The crab rangoons were great(only 4 in an order though), however the fresh spring rolls had zero flavor and they are usually my favorite. While the Thai pad was decent the drunken noodles was inedible. The noodles were hard and stuck together and just like a drunk person, it was a mess! I definitely wasn't happy spending almost $80 on what I got! Too bad I really was excited to have a good Thai place closer to home. :( read more

This restaurant is absolutely delicious! This was my first time trying authentic Thai food and I will definitely be returning. We were a party of four and ordered three appetizers. The calamari and papaya salad were delicious. The papaya salad was probably my favorite thing of the night. Our third appetizer is the reason for the 4 star instead of 5 star review. We ordered the fresh summer rolls for I believe $5.95. It came as basically four bite size pieces of only vegetable with tofu. The serving was extremely small and definitely not worth our money. All of our entrees however were great. I had the jungle curry with vegetables and tofu. I also tried the thai iced green tea with bubbles. The tea was amazing and my favorite thing of the night by far !!!! I added the bubbles for one dollar, they didn't really have much flavor. I'd say add the bubbles to try them since they are fun, but probably not worth ordering the bubbles more than once. read more
