Ordered a pack of empanadas for pickup today. The chicken empanadas didn't have much flavor as before, but I did enjoy the apple empanada which was still warm when I ate it at home. My husband enjoyed the Mexican chocolate one. There was a variety of empanadas in the glass display case. I could see workers behind the glass partition preparing them. Store has a few chairs out front for dining. Might be worth another try.

*I came in here 3 different times before updating my review. * Service has improved so much!! I just went yesterday and now they have three people working. The young girl in the front was very welcoming and friendly. There's always a crowd because that's just how good the empanadas are. I always get the potato empanadas and potato and lentil. They are 10/10 They do have variety which I love, because sometimes I just don't want meat but there's birria, chicken, and picadillo. I will definitely keep coming back!!

Been passing by this place. The server was nice and pleasant. Bought a dozen variety flavor. Definitely enjoyed the Birria. But the spinach, bean, potato and even the apple empanadas were not worth it. It said it had cheese but it didn't have it. Unlikely coming back. No picture of the rest of the empanada as the kids took a bite and threw away

The Empanadas are scrumptious! In Dec. of 2024, we got a 12 Pack of Empanadas for $55.80 plus tax. You save 10¢ per each when you buy them by the dozen or a 6-pack. Hubby picked them up and brought them home for us to eat together. Our son & his wife liked them, too! I do wish the stamping on the Empanadas were consistently legible. It was difficult to determine what some of them were. There were 12 flavors which include 10 Savory and 2 Sweet ones. These are the ones we got: *Chicken Ancho Cheese *Bean & Cheese *Birria Beef *Chicken Chipotle *Picadillo Beef & Cheese *Lentil & Potato (Vegan) *Potato Rajas Cheese *Ham & Cheese *Chorizo & Potato *Apple Pie Churro *Mexican Chocolate Goodness Unfortunately they were out of the Spinach & Cheese, so I didn't get to try that one. I don't care too much for Chorizo, but hubby likes it, so he got an extra one to substitute the twelfth flavor. I sampled seven of the empanadas. The bread surrounding each savory empanada has a nice chew with a little crunchiness around the crimped edges. So good! Each empanada is full of flavor and so tasty! They have a Cilantro Sauce and a Salsa Roja to accompany your empanadas. If you join their rewards program, you will earn 1 point for every dollar spent. And when you sign up, you'll earn 25 bonus points! There are also other incentives posted on their website. We need get some more soon! I still want to try the Spinach & Cheese Empanada. It sounds so good, the spinach cooked with garlic & butter!

I wasn't planning on going in today, but this sign right in my path changed my mind.

I am so excited that this place is open again to go in and order to eat or to order big and take home! I've been wanting to come back in here for a while, but I had moved to a different town and usually don't come by here when they're open. But today, although I wasn't planning on coming in, I saw their sign on the sidewalk I said that's it I must! There are so many choices of flavor combos. It's really tough to decide. But since I tend to eat more vegan now, the choice was easy and I went with the potato lentil (with additional red sauce). I did also choose a churro apple empanada For both of them, the chunks of filling are so satisfying and distinct that you can taste the individual items but at the same time, the flavors blend together so well. I love the empanada shell too - it is thin, but flaky and holds together perfectly! No tears or leaks! If I would've stuck with one, it would be the perfect amount to hold me over to my next meal, but since I both it was a satisfying meal! I probably could have even eaten two entrée empanadas. It was such a beautiful day. I sat right outside the restaurant. Since it was a Sunday there wasn't that much road or people traffic, so it was a nice break!

Absolutely loved this place! I was in the area for an appointment and the empanada shop caught my eye due to its distinct red store front coloring. Once I realized it was a sole empanada shop, I was super thrilled since I loveeee empanadas lol. When I walked in, I was greeted by a staff member and could see the number of empanadas they offered. You have the option of either ordering your empanada with a cashier or at the kiosk located inside the store. The staff member I spoke to was great and due to the restaurant having so many options, I asked which one he would recommend. I ended up ordering the Birria Beef empanada and it was hands down delicious. Inside of the empanada, the chucks of beef inside were delicious and flavorful. The empanada itself is a pretty good size as well and the chimichurri sauce gave it the perfect additional flavor boost. I definitely plan on coming back to try more options!

You might expect a traditional South American spot when you hear "The empanada shop," but this place is so cute it instantly puts you in a good mood. You order from a kiosk, and each empanada is around $4-5 -- but honestly, one is never enough. The fillings and sauces are so good that you'll swear you're stopping at two... and somehow end up eating three. Adorable place, delicious food, and guaranteed good vibes.

Tucked away and a great find. All the empanadas were delicious. Favorite was bean and cheese. Loved them so much took a six-pack home to the bay area Travels well and definitely get extra dipping sauces.

Was there a different location across the street years ago? Anywaaayyy I've been meaning to stop in because I love empanadas and tried many shops in the area. You can order at a kiosk or with the associate, who was friendly and offered recommendations. He said the birria was the most popular so I got that, pork chorizo potato, and spinach cheese. They were all SO FLAVORFUL! I wish I got more lol. So I guess that means I have to come back for these flavors and try the others too. Pro tip - sign up for rewards!

Everything tasted incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned. We ordered the carne asada and carnitas, and both were amazing. The meat was tender, flavorful, and not fatty at all just perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. My daughter had the bean and cheese burrito with rice and beans and loved it too. They bring out three different salsas with the chips, and each one had its own unique flavor. You can tell the chips are house-made because they're fresh, crisp, and just really good. Some Mexican restaurants can make things overly salty, but everything here tasted balanced and fresh. I also had a Paloma and it was made perfectly. Before we left we decided to try the churros and I'm so glad we did. They were filled with this amazing cream and came with a caramel sauce for dipping. I'm not usually a big dessert person, but these were seriously incredible. Great location, great service, amazing food, and everything tasted fresh and well made. We will definitely be back!

Prices are reasonable, and the views are as good as they get with unobstructed views of the harbor all the way to Palos Verdes. The restaurant is clean, new, and TVs with sports even in the dining room (perfect for watching World Cup matches while dining). The only critique I'd offer is I wish they didn't use the end pieces of the loaf of bread for french toast--made the pieces tough. But the other breakfast items were great, as were the salsa, guac, and tortilla chips. What a gem to have in Redondo, especially for it being reasonably priced and accessible (wasn't a problem getting a reservation). Hope this place can stay busy enough to stick around for a while.

Our server was friendly, attentive, and did everything possible to take care of us. The person in charge was also attentive and responsive throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the kitchen could not keep up with the holiday crowd. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive. When it finally came, my avocado toast was extremely soggy and appeared to have been sitting for quite some time before being served. Other meals at our table were either overcooked or prepared incorrectly. The experience was so disappointing that, for the first time in my long adult life, my family left the restaurant without eating our meal. The waterfront location and harbor views are beautiful, but the excessive wait time and food quality issues overshadowed what should have been a special Father's day celebration. My son-in-law is a wonderful father and our family wanted to celebrate him on Father's day. We will be celebrating Fathers Day next Sunday at our favorite diner instead.
