The 3.9/4.0 star Yelp average is about right. There is a small lot in the back. Street parking is available but may be hard to get. Order at the window just off the sidewalk and pick up at the window right next to it. Sometimes they give you a number sometimes they just tell you the order items to get you to pick it up. The order taker is bilingual and was friendly. However, it was hard to hear him over the kitchen and street noise. Either they go my order wrong or their hard tacos are just lightly fried and not the American style hard ones like at Taco Bell. The taquitos, usually crunchy elsewhere, were also just lightly fried and only like smaller soft tacos. All this is probably healthier, but if you want a traditional hard taco, then try elsewhere. The tacos tasted good. They were not spectacular, but were good. The fish taco is also not fried and is the grilled fish. Good for a grilled fish taco, but hey the fried one always tastes better! healthier grilled. Seems they included several large whole fried tortillas as chips and lots of salsa. These were just ok. On the whole, if you are in the area and want Mexican food or breakfast, then this is a fast and economical place to go. However, if you want really good tacos, taquitos, and burritos, there are far better places in the SoCal area. Would come back here, but not our first choice for a taco place. read more

Now I'm not gonna say el burrito jr is the best Mexican food but if you live in the South Torrance or Redondo beach area, you definitely know about lbj's. I don't know of any taco trucks in the area unless you want to go to Gardena, harbor city, Wilmington, etc. but lbj's will definitely hit the spot. The super deluxe burrito is solid and I don't know what it is but their salsa and chips are addicting. Service has always been a good experience for me and the redondo beach location is the one I usually go to. I've been coming here since high school ages ago and it still has me coming back. It has been years since I've been to this El Burrito Jr location but though it's been years; my recent visit proved that El Burrito Jr still is one of the best places to get a (gigantic burrito!). Interestingly enough my previous review in 2007 was about the Junior Deluxe Chicken Burrito. Today I was about to get the same thing but actually opted to get the Deluxe Chicken Burrito because it was only 50 cents more! ($10 for a Junior Deluxe and then $10.50 for a Deluxe! That is quite the deal!). By title alone; one can tell the Deluxe is well...deluxe! It's deluxe in size (perfect for 2 people or maybe even 3 hehe) and it's also deluxe in taste! It was filled with tender chicken, beans, cheese and rice and topped with guacamole, sour cream and special sauce. It is quite intense but in a good way. I love this location because it's one of the originals and I also love that is so close to the beach. Sun, fun and burritos....one more can a Southern California girl ask for :). read more

EBJ is our go to place whenever we can't decide what to eat for lunch or dinner. We LOVE their carne asada burrito. It's literally the best carne asada burrito in the South Bay! EBJ went the extra mile on making sure customers are feeling safe and relaxed when approaching the window to order their food. They provide hand sanitizer, marked the little pathway to ensure social distancing, and the employees worn a mask when they place the order. They have outside tables on the side, I saw people eating there by sitting at every other table to ensure social distancing. The place also have a big parking lot so definitely no worries there. They have a lot of food pictures on the side wall if you cannot make up your mind. For me, it has always been their carne asada burrito since that's my cheat meal once a while, so until the day I'm sick of eating that, I probably will continue to recommend their carne asada burrito here. Everything else on the pictures look yummy but like i said, if this is your first time and cannot make up your mind on what to get, get the carne asada burrito! Oh and one more thing, they are super generous with the side chips, if you see my pictures below, we have like a whole lunch bag of chips every time we order food there. I was a huge fan of the place 10 years ago or so. The food was piping hot, the tacos were crispy, the beans were flavorful. The prices were also much lower. Today I ordered the #3 combo. 1p years ago it was $8.00 or so. Today it was $15. So two orders were over $30.00. The tacos were beyond greasy, the beans had no flavor and everything was covered in lard. Am very upset with the way it has gone downhill but the prices went uphill. I remember when there was a line around the corner. I would have to stand around and wait for 30 minutes for my order to arrive. Guess what..... No wait. No lines.... And bad greasy expensive food. Every time I'm in the South Bay, I do my darnedest to enjoy the carnitas plate with fresh fried tortilla chips and salsa at the original yellow A-frame on PCH. There's something irresistible about eating out of a tin plate at a stone patio table less than 1/4 mile from the beach... Perhaps someday I'll muster up enough self-control to wait until I get to the beach to eat. Order at the walk-up window... or take a chance and try calling ahead (which isn't any quicker during peak times, which seem to be always!). You don't understand how much of a local Treasure this place is. Anything you order off the menu is going to be delicious. It's got flavor, It's got just the right amount of salt, it's perfect. It really is for being a taco stand. There are other El Burrito juniors in the area, but this one to me will always be the best one. Usually I'll get the two bean and cheese burrito with a drink combo. That also comes with chips and salsa. Or I'll get the full blown Beach basket which has a regular meat burrito, a bean and cheese burrito, enchiladas, and some tacos. It also comes with beans and rice on the side. And you get the chips and salsa as well. It's definitely enough to feed 4 to 6 people. Worth every penny! Bicyclist, Beach goers, people who ride motorcycles down pch, and the like, will truly enjoy this spot as a quick place to grab lunch, or a nice taco stand type dinner. There's almost always room in the parking lot for plenty of cars. Only downside is that the bathroom is in the burger place across the parking lot, and they tend to close early. So keep that in mind. Other than that, most people will usually enjoy dining on the outside patio. Please don't linger, and ruin it for the people who are in line behind you.
