Brazilian beef roast with yucca, rice, and salad

A local gem! Truly. This is a super chill, casual spot for Brazilian food where you can sit inside or outside as a small party or larger groups. The kitchen was open air and it felt so spacious inside. I appreciated that they had pictures of the dishes on their menus. We ordered at the counter and sat down at a table with a number. It was pretty busy with families inside for a Sunday, but the food came out pretty fast. I went with the Brazilian beef roast plate and it came with yucca, rice, a salad, and a bowl of beans on the side. It felt so healthy, fresh, and the flavors were delicious. I enjoyed the yucca a lot more than I thought I would. The entire plate just felt really balanced. I also tried my partner's picanha dish and the meat was cooked really well too. I think this will easily be somewhere we'll come back to. There's a parking lot but also plenty of street parking.

Fresh delightful flavors with a little bit of everything. Service was great with a family feel. I honestly liked what my hubby was having better than my salmon. I could live off the chicken and potato salad. I treated myself to the coconut flan with plum sauce. I loved it. We will be back. Great for groups of 2- 6 ppl.

Panelas is tucked away in a residential neighborhood along with other stores. It's a little hard to find without directions, but it can be found. The restaurant itself is clean and pretty with ample seating. They have an open kitchen concept for the store. I ordered the Picanha plate and my mom ordered the chicken plate. Our orders came out in a timely manner. We also got the Pao de queijo as our appetizers. They were pretty good, big, cheesy, and chewy. The Picanha was smoky and beefy. My Picanha plate also came with a fried egg on top of it. The black beans on the side, the feijoada, was pretty toothsome. My mom said her chicken was juicy and hot. We got our orders with drinks of Guarana Antarctica, the quintessential national soda of Brazil. Overall, I had a pretty great time at this restaurant. The prices are a little steep (just a little), but you get what you pay for. And you get a welcoming and excellent plate full of delicious Brazilian food.

We have been to Panelas quite a few times and every time it didnt disappoint! Everything we ordered was tasty and felt like I was sitting at a restaurant in Brasil! I am a native so I can tell you the food here is on point and the service has always been great! They have enough tables if you come with a regular size party but if it is a larger group I would give them a call so they can set up the tables for you. If you love Brazilian food or you want to try it, you wont go wrong by coming to Panelas.

WOW! This was some of the best Brazilian I've had. I started with a pão de queijo which was some of the best I've had - fresh and hot and so delightfully tasty. The guava juice was perfect - not too sweet and a fresh guava taste. I had the Brazilian salad with pichana which was juicy and tender. It took about 15 mins for our food to come out and there is a nice set of dining tables. Nice staff. Would absolutely come again.

Bringing my boyfriend to try the best feijoada in town! It didn't disappoint (it never does!). I love coming to Panelas. They have great Pudim (which is my favorite dessert). I definitely recommend

What a wonderful experience! Save money on airfare and come to Brazil for an hour! The feijoada was delicious, we also shared the barbecue platter and it was all so good. The pork in the feijoada was as tender as chicken and the sausage so flavorful!!! I want to come back and try all the sweets/baked goods as well. There's a small assortment of imports for sale, I bought a Brazilian coconut candy bar for later. The staff is very nice and attentive. I wish I lived closer!

This wonderful restaurant is hidden in a residential area but worth finding. We haven't been to Panelas in a while but it was as good as I remembered. The pao de queijo is delicious and made to order so our order was nice and hot but it did take 30 minutes to bake. I had the barbecue plate which consisted of picanha, chicken thigh and sausage. The picanha and sausage were delicious but the chicken was bland. Garlic rice ,black beans and potato salad were on point. Hubby had the veggie plate and loved it. Customer service is excellent and very friendly.

We visited the restaurant quite often when it was a tiny 2 table dinner just a couple of miles from our old residence. I can't believe how much it has grown and became a large restaurant with seating for 50+ people. After browsing through the new menu, we decided to try the following dishes: Croquette Basket: an assortment of fried crockets with cheese, chicken and beef fillings. The outer part was nicely fried, and the filings were well seasoned. I highly recommend eating them with a couple of drops of house chili sauce. It greatly enhances the flavor. Churrasquinho with Picanha: even though we requested picanha to be medium well, the meat was still very tender and soft. The grill veggies were not over burnt. The rice with crispy farofa was very nice. The black bean soup was not too salty and went well with the meal. Pastels: the wraps were crispy but not overly fried, and the filings were nicely seasoned. Again, try them with a couple drops of house chili sauce. Passion Fruit Mousse: it was smooth and not overly sweet. The hint of sourness of the passion fruit went well with the overall sweetness and taste of the mousse. Beijinho: the blend of condensed milk's sweetness with butter and shredded coconut was amazing. Nice texture and not overly sweet. I could eat a dozen of this bite size joy. It felt like a homecoming and made me realize how much I miss its food. For sure we will stop by more often.

I especially like their breakfast burritos and have had good experiences here before. Unfortunately, this visit didn't quite go as planned. I ordered the ham and sausage burrito, which costs extra as a two-meat option, but when I got home it only had ham and no sausage. The burrito itself still tasted good, so this felt more like an order mistake than a quality issue. One thing to note is they charge a fee for credit card purchases, so cash might save you a little if you come often. Overall, still a solid local spot for a quick bite, especially breakfast, and I'll probably still come back.

I love the vegetable mix with it that included roasted peppers, pepperoncini but the Melrose spread was a tad bit much where it just oozed off the sandwich paper wrap. The sauce was good but a tad bit excessive. The staff was very nice but the food took longer than expected. Maybe that's because of them making it fresh but it seemed a tad bit longer than I expected for a non busy time I went (11am). Even after placing my order, the staff was happy to accommodate the change, which I greatly appreciated. The sandwich, paired with the tomato basil soup, was phenomenal. The flavors blended perfectly, creating a sandwich that, in my opinion, is far better than anything you'll find at Panera. I was pointed to the cooking section and told they had two brands: Tony's and San Antonio. Without really knowing that I knew what I needed that I had been unable to find elsewhere, they met my goal of finding this very specific item. Meanwhile, though not my first visit, but a long time since my last, I couldn't help but notice how large the space is, and how much they have to offer. Only half of the space is a store. In the back, they have a full bakery of popular Italian treats. Bombolinos and cookies and even basque cheesecake! Then they have sandwiches and other homemade meals that you can purchase by the pound. And to top off the experience, you don't have to wait to get home - there's a fountain for beverages and you can eat your deliciousness in their large dining area. I personally will be back for a lunch visit, at some point. For now, I'm going to be using that Marsala wine to attempt duplication of a nearby restaurant's chicken Marsala recipe!
