Two different sides of the restaurant with two completely different vibes. We sat on the sports bar side. Not very busy. Food came out quick. Little disappointing they no longer have pizza available. Instead of updating the menu they just placed a sticker over top of the section. My daughter got mozzarella sticks. She thought they were good. They were the short fat ones. We prefer the long skinny ones. I know that may sound weird but usually if we know this ahead of time this will determine if she will order them or not. She did enjoy her kids chicken tender meal. My other daughter thought the grilled cheese was good too. Fries were beer battered which were a plus! My husband got the Chicken sandwich said it was delicious and wished it was bigger. The bun was a little disappointing. Looked and tasted like a Walmart bun. My Philly cheesesteak was decent but it tasted like Steak- Umms. My wife and I stopped Sunday evening approximately 6 PM. We had to drive around and look in the window as the open sign was not illuminated. We were not sure if they were open or not. When we walked in there was no one in the front part of the building with a sign that said "please wait to be seated". Walk around the corner into the bar area and noticed that there was a large family and a couple other tables there with an empty bar. I suggest my wife sat at the bar. We had fairly quick service there. It was obvious they were in the process of shutting down when we arrived. Reviewing the menu, we noticed that they are no longer serving pizzas. There was a big piece of tape across that item on our menus. After getting adult beverages, my wife decided on their appetizer sampler while I decided on their Italian salad. Pretty sure I could smell the fryer oil where we were seated; however, my wife's fried sampler platter, tasted fairly good. She decided on having green bean fries, mac & cheese balls, and chicken tenders. It was the first time she ever had the mac & cheese balls, didn't really care for them, I thought they were tasty. My salad was out of this world delicious. Although the menu says mixed greens, it seemed like it was just iceberg lettuce. That said all the toppings were wonderful! Walking in the door there were jerseys, pictures of students and you can tell it's a sports themed bar with lots of booths and tables. It looks very clean and fun to look at all the things on the wall. The menu is large and they serve breakfast all day!! I had a biscuits and gravy, hash browns and scrambled eggs! My husband got a ham cheese omelette with a pancake:) the wait was minimal and this food was just amazing ! Crispy hash browns and the pancake had a hint of vanilla with warm syrup! The omelette was so large my husband could only eat half of it!! The waitress was pleasantly very happy and she chatted with her coworkers about the farmers market across the street. I don't know how anyone gives this place more than 1 star. We've tried this place numerous times and haven't learned our lesson apparently. Service is ALWAYS horrible. You have to wait to be seated, we stood there ten minutes for them to just say sit where ever you like. We sit down and the girl takes our drink order and tells us someone will take our food order soon. Apparently their definition of soon and mine differ. It was 20 plus minutes. They did come but trying to pawn tickets off on us though while we were waiting for our server. Maybe if you just want to sit in the bar and drink it's a good spot, but I wouldn't recommend going for dinner. read more

Went for a motorcycle ride and ended up here to try something new. From the outside it's deceiving looks rather small but they have a bar in a another huge area on the other side. We were sat in this area. Nice and cool for sure. I had to try a drink since I'm the passenger..Lol.. Mermaid Drink was good. We ordered an appetizer of mushrooms with ranch. They had a nice crunchy coating on them very good. Husband order their Hog Dog let me tell you, I didn't get a picture of it since he wouldn't put it down. He kept commenting how wonderful it was. So I just let him have a moment to himself..Lol.. He said everything just complimented each other and it was Awesome. Well I got a build your own burger. It was good but I didn't have the experience he had. Think next time I'm getting the hog dog..Lol. Staff was very friendly and took great care of us. Good experience for 1st timers. Husband just called here to place a to-go order. We have gotten takeout several times previously and it was really good. The woman who picked up told him to hold on and set the phone down. He waited 10 minutes (not exaggerating) listening to the staff chat and joke around on the other end of the line. Nobody bothered to pick the phone up. Hung up and called back 3 times....nobody answered. Why do businesses make it so hard for you to give them your money??? Since moving out here we've always noticed them busy. Well tonight we finally got the chance to eat there and oh my goodness were we not disappointed. I got the Buffalo wings-amazing big wings with meat on them haha. I also got an Italian salad that was HUGE!! And also so amazing. My husband got the wild Buffalo wrap and he thought it was so good he was coming back to try more stuff haha. Definitely a great friendly staff. Had some tomatoes on my salad that weren't supposed to be and not only did they fix it, but did so super quickly and also had multiple people apologizing and checking. We are staying nearby & have eaten here several times. The food has been excellent. The salads are great but limited selection of dressing's for them and no light or fat free. HighFructoseFree.com stopped in to this newly opened restaurant in Mount Gilead Ohio on our drive through town. This location has formerly been countrified restaurants for decades. The End Zone has turned its back on the rural location and done a complete 180 by opening a very limited menu sports bar. You won't even find an egg burger on a biscuit in this new experience. Maybe this is what this small town needs as for decades nothing has changed in this town, NOTHING! Even the neighboring Amish communities avoid Mt. Gilead like they avoid electricity. In short, the burger was killer, we split the side order to half fries and half onion rings and hold the mayo for a HighFructoseFree meal. Our server was Melissa, great service and a very efficient and friendly experience, she kept our iced tea filled and was there if we needed anything. There wasn't a single employee glued to a mobile phone, everyone was working, cleaning, doing their jobs. We were most impressed when there was a spill and no one panicked, no one yelled, they chipped in, cleaned the spill and everything was fine. Nice teamwork! Killer end zone burger, the beef is flavorful, get the upgraded 1/3 pound and the fries crisp, there were real rings of onion in the onion rings, nothing minced. Unfortunately we had to toss the bun as they do not have a gluten free option, even frozen gluten free is a better option, GF = HFCSFREE, otherwise don't chance it, trash the bun. Order the HV ranch, Hidden Valley, if you need a dipper, it has real sugar and does not contain high fructose corn syrup. The counter condiments also offer hot sauce which is HFCSFREE and will jump start your metabolism. You will learn to love the hot sauce after only a few uses. The ketchup has high fructose corn syrup in it according to the bottle on the counter. We were unsure of the mayo, we tasted it and it tastes like it contains HFCS so skip the mayo. The back side has a bar and a band stage for live entertainment, the front side is more traditional yet relaxed dining with counter service. The Ohio tables are unique. The service employees had black shirts with the logo on them, the kitchen staff had brown shirts that looked faded and tattered even though the place has been open for less than a month. There was a lady in a silk floral print shirt that was in and out of the kitchen and service areas, she looks out of place and in the way, her wardrobe has an elitist feel, she must be the owner. There was a lot of wood and dark colors which were a bit depressing and made the place look dirty. The atmosphere feels as if someone tried to include every cliche sports bar element, it feels sterile and amateur in design. The chef/cooks/service staff make up for the limited menu, bad design, fecal color scheme and lack of connection to the community. I hope they succeed as at least they realize that the town needed something more than biscuits and gravy yet not another chain restaurant like the ones that have ruined the west end of town. I had reserved some tables in the back room for a meal following my husband's funeral. I had given them a total of 16 but the total had grown by 6 following the service. When we got there, we were shown to our tables. We had 5 more people who sat outside. Our servers, Molly and Laura, were ready and waiting for us. It did not take much time to get our drinks and the food came out in a timely manner. Everyone was pleased with their food's taste, quality and how quickly it was served. The manager, Sonya, and the two servers Laura and Molly were not upset with us for having more people arrive than the original number given, nor were they upset that we had asked for separate checks. My husband and I were regulars here before and after Covid. Though it won't be the same without him there to enjoy a meal, I will still visit when I am able. We thought we would give them another chance since the last time we were here the service was slow. On 11/28/20 we went here again. We were seated at 7:20, the waitress took our drink and dinner order and brought our drinks right away. Our dinner did not come out until 8:05. It wasn't until we were done eating that the waitress came back for drink refills. The food was sub par, we ordered 3 burgers and a fish platter, not a hard order to pull off. I understand they were busy, and they may have been short staffed, but it was not a good dining experience. The waitress was wearing a mask with her nose exposed, the cook was not wearing a mask at all and several people were walking around not wearing a mask at all. Even though they have the obligatory mask and social distancing notices posted the staff did nothing about ensuring the rules were followed. Went here on the weekend they opened and was great. Went back a few weeks ago on a friday night and ordered the exact same thing (bacon cheeseburger and fries) and my husband ordered a similar meal it took over an hour to recieve our food and when we did receive it it was cold. The hamburger had NO flavor at all and was just had maybe one full piece of bacon. I wouldn't have minded the wait if they were busy. But they weren't and the whole time sitting and waiting we had to listen to four grumpy old ladies complaining outloud about there wait and hour cold there food was. I have visited this restaurant at least 4 times trying to give them another chance each time. The final straw was when we came in the evening on a Friday night and was shocked (appalled) by our experience. 1st, it took 5 minutes to seat us even though there was no one on the side of the restaurant eating; then upon sitting at the table, table was dirty, silverware was not clean, server was not knowledgeable or polite, the food we wanted to order was all out but did not know until after waiting 30 minutes and then the server comes back to tell us. Previously, we would order usually fried food to prevent any possibility of getting sick from the food but still manage to get sick. So after calling the restaurant and asking what type of oil they fry their food in was told they use Cottonseed oil. Really???? Not cool!!! The cooks don't wear gloves or cover their heads to prevent hair from getting in the food and I actually saw them one time using their bare hands to put ready to eat food on a plate to be served for consumption. The bar side of the restaurant does not follow Covid protocols especially during Karaoke night. Management/Ownership needs to take a real hard look at their practices read more
