I live in San Clemente and she lives in La Verne which is about 75 miles away for me, no problem I was at her home @ 8am. I explained to her that I used to have my vehicle serviced at H Car Repair and should give them a try. Ok Grandpa let's go she stated, about 7 minutes away arrived and I let her explain what service she needed and any problems she is experiencing. A very proud Grandpa as she spoke with the owner-manager of the shop. She and Dave agreed to have the work completed. So she and I went to have breakfast and enjoy each other's company which was wonderful to catch up. A couple of hours later her vehicle is ready, Dave brought in the parts replaced into the lobby showing my granddaughter and explaining in detail the process and cost. It was a win win overall H Car Repair has a new customer and Granddaughter now knows that she can go have her car serviced without being taken advantage of at a fair price. 5 STAR SERVICE GRANDPA HAS NOW DONE HIS JOB, THE LITTLE BIRD HAS LEARNED TO FLY ON HER OWN ! Instead of explaining that the vehicle likely wasn't ready for testing, they went ahead and ran the smog anyway. The test failed because multiple system monitors hadn't completed, and they immediately reported the failure to the DMV. On top of that, the technician accused me of having my catalytic converter swapped out illegally, which was completely unexpected and honestly insulting. I've owned the vehicle for years and have never had any work done on it. He even offered to show me, but then wanted to charge me just to put the car on the lift -- which reinforced my feeling that everything here is about money. After the failed test, I was told I still had to pay because they spent about 30 minutes on it. From my understanding, many places don't charge if the vehicle isn't ready and fails for that reason, so this didn't sit right with me. To make matters worse, their payment system wasn't working properly when I tried to pay electronically, which just added to the frustration. The technician then got visibly irritated with me for being unhappy and handed me off to another employee instead of resolving the issue professionally. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional, transactional, and lacking basic customer service. Charging for a failed test, reporting it when the vehicle clearly wasn't ready, and then getting frustrated with the customer is not how you treat people. I'm sure there may be a response to this, but this review reflects my personal experience.

I never had any sensor issues before they worked on my truck. When I brought the issue up, they wanted to charge me $140+ to replace that sensor and recalibrate the others. That's unacceptable considering the problem started right after their service. What made the experience even worse was the manager's confrontational attitude. Instead of trying to help resolve the issue professionally, he actually dared me to leave a review. Based on how I was treated, I do not recommend this business for any automotive repairs. Looking at the ratings now, I'm not surprised others have had negative experiences as well (3 .5 stars).

I have been taking my car for oil change for the past 50 years. The us oil change price includes oil , extra amount for part, the Labor is included in the oil change price. So outrageous charges. I would give him one star as he unseasonably charged thinking that the person is female senior citizen. By California Consumers board, the oil change prices were not posted in his auto body shop. I wouldn't recommend to anyone to his auto shop & may feel like to report it to California agency .
