I just ate dinner here with my family. My brother's meal never came. When we approached the manager he never once apologized and made us feel as if it was our fault the meal never came. We asked if the meals would be compensated and he said "why should they be." Our entire meal was ruined because we could not all eat together. The manager then said "I am done" and walked away. We were just trying to have a conversation with him. The meal was then taken to the table as we were leaving and it was the wrong meal. Then as we were leaving the manager followed us outside the restaurant and threatened us. He said we were the worst customers he has ever seen and called us garbage. His name was Mike and he is one of the most unprofessional managers I've ever encountered. read more

I sat at a multi-seat table the waitress brough over the manager and said because my party was only 2 we could not sit there so we had to move. 10 minutes later another party was seated at the same table and they only had 2 members in that party at that time and for the next 20 minutes. I brought this up to the restaurant manager and he told me I had to leave the restaurant and could not come back or he would call the police. Overall apps are pretty decent, entrees as inconsistent. Waitstaff is always nice, but you rarely see the same face twice. The building is gorgeous and everything is always clean. But let's focus on misnomer #1... Jesus Christ Lord of all that is good and holy, can I just get a God dang drink at the bar? Every time I go I find myself sitting there and watching a bartender mill around with no urgency or sense of awareness. "Hey, I'm over here!!! Look at me!" Oh and once you do get a drink and finish it you might as well go take a 2 hour bowel movement cuz the next drink is going to take awhile. We were given the bill multiple times and also were reminded that it was left for us. I am rarely surprised by food that I order but, wow! I ordered the Kebab Salad. Completely NOT what I expected. This could have been a steak dinner with a salad. The four pieces of steak most likely equaled 12-16 oz and were thick, tender, cooked perfectly! I've heard mixed reviews about this place ever since it switched over from The European (which was one of my favorite restaurants. After going, this is still one of my favorites, but completely different environment. It went from a cool local italian restaurant, to a more up beat local sports bar. The menu has a wide variety. The food we got was excellent, although service is a little slow. We did hear multiple complaints from the table behind us about undercooked meat, but we had no issues with our two meals and were very happy with them. I have since been back and ordered the same thing, and have also had their pizza. All my experiences the food was great, and the service was slow, so not recommended if you're in a rush but definitely a good place if you're looking to enjoy your time with family and friends. First time here on a Friday and we will be back. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were friendly and attentive and make great drinks (not pictured was a pumpkin martini!) Hubby and I love French onion soup if it's on the menu we are trying it so we did and this one was delicious would order again it's in our top 3. The burger had great flavor - I love ketchup and I mean love ketchup - and when my husband shared a bite with no ketchup I looked at him and he said trust me you don't need it and he was right I wanted to switch plates! My eggplant was ok was lacking a bit of flavor had to add red pepper and salt for some. Lot of people (everyone besides us at the bar) got pizzas and they looked SO good can't wait to go back and get one ourselves! read more

I have been wanting to stop by here since it changed from April's. Last night I finally got a chance to go. I went around 6pm. There was hardly anyone there on a Saturday night. I sat at the bar, the women behind the bar were fabulous. They quickly greeted me and took my drink order. They offered me a menu. Reading over the menu I was a bit disappointed. I am not sure what I was expecting but it looked like a menu my kids would put together. The bar was all over 40 years old but the menu was all pizza, pasta, sandwiches, burgers and lots of food fried. I found a baked haddock and ordered that. I don't have a single complaint at all about my dinner it was good. It could have used a lemon but I could also have asked for one. They have Keno which was fun since only football was on (no complaints, just college football isn't my thing, everyone else was enjoying it). It has always been a beautiful location and someplace over the last 20 years that I have felt comfortable in. Service was excellent. Food was good. I feel like everyone always wants to leave 5 stars or 1 star but 3 fits well, it was A-OK. I liked it, not sure I will be back there was nothing else on the menu I really want to try. read more

very disappointed. pros: atmosphere was nice; bruins game was on and the whole restaurant would cheer when they made a goal. everything else is a con. 1. waited 1 hour after they told us it would be a 30 minute wait. 2. once seated, we saw PLENTY (about 6) open tables.. so why weren't we seated at one of those? 3. got our 2 appetizers, and weren't even given plates. so my boyfriend and i ate from the same plate until 5 mins later the waiter finally brought the plates. chicken bacon quesadilla was amazing. other than that, everything else was horrible. 4. food was so disappointing. the didn't even put my bacon on my burger the first time around (when it was an ingredient of the burger according to the menu) 5. after eating half of his burger, we noticed a hair on the pickles. he's bald! 6. bill came, we were charged an extra $4 because we replaced our fries with sweet potato fries. the menu didn't say we would be charged extra. waiter didn't mention it either. whatever, the night was already bad. read more

Really wanted to like this place. I love the look and the location but the service was awful. To be fair we were a party of 10... that being said everything that could go wrong went wrong. Freezing cold soup, wrong orders, forgotten orders. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad and they brought me a regular chicken salad. I was about to just veto the salad but the waitress said they'll just throw it back on the grill with buffalo sauce. Instead, less than a minute later she comes back with the same exact salad: just drenched in buffalo sauce. Disgusting. Only meal my party was happy with was the turkey burger. Not to mention it took us over 2 hours to get our meals. Will not be back. Only thing that saved the experience was the nice waiter, he was very sweet and polite. read more

I wish 0 stars was an option. Reposting from my Facebook review as it's now day two of the worst food poisoning I've ever experienced and I had to miss a day of work. The longest wait and most overpriced case of severe food poisoning I've ever experienced. Fiancé and I went in on a recommendation last night, we were given an estimate of 35 minutes but then ended up waiting almost an hour and 45 minutes, which could be understandable on a busy Saturday night but the hostess spent most of her time on the phone instead of even checking in or trying to give us an update. We were then walked around the restaurant twice because the host told us that our table we had waited for "didn't exist". We ordered a can of cider, two appetizers, buffalo tenders and the chicken sliders, which we then watched be walked around the restaurant twice itself including back to the kitchen because the waiter didn't seem to know where he was and ignored us when we tried to signal him after we realized he didn't know where it was going the first time. The food was cold and the tenders appeared to be from the frozen aisle of the grocery store. 43 dollars total. The best part was around midnight last night when I developed one of the most severe cases of food poising I've ever experienced and came close to having to go to the ER for IV fluids. I would assume it's from the chicken sliders as fiancé and I we're both sick but I got it the worst and also ate more of those than fiancé did. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

This location used to be a pretty decent but a little bit pricey European restaurant called Apriles. I don't think it changed owners because the menu still pays a tribute to a few of the old items and makes note of "Apriles red sauce". I wanted to like this place since I have more of a taste for American food but maaaan is it pricey. They kept the same price range but lowered the value of the food. I got a chicken dish, someone got salmon and the other two got burgers. Not a single one of us was thrilled. They have a pretty cool bar in the middle and the potential to be a great sports bar with the billion TVs around but all they play are local games. They played a single game on at least 20 TVs and one tv playing family feud which is just lost on people without sound. To top it off the waitress took forever to take our order and refill drinks. Unfortunately it all ended there...slow to seat us, quick to take our drink order, slow to receive drinks, slow to take food order, 55 minutes to get food. The place wasn't even packed. There were a handful of empty tables. Beware: a burger well done is nearly burnt and dried out. The over easy burger comes with a hard boiled fried egg which really defeats the purpose. My friend brought me by here for a drink and some food. I absolutely enjoyed everything I ate. This restaurant is huge and has an awesome bar with many TVs everywhere!! Menu with a lot of great choices, and lots of beers on tap. I had the buffalo chicken dip (it was spicy and delicious) I was broken between a burger or pizza but decided to share the steak tip pizza. Steak itself tasted amazing. For dessert, I had to try the fried ice cream. DID NOT disappoint! Huge portions. Great service, bartender was attentive and friendly. Here's the thing. The Establishment is located in a gorgeous renovated mill building with so much character. The brick, the shape - it has so much potential. This building has housed a few restaurants, but the most recent is a major disappointment.They've slapped dozens of TVs up - this should be a crime (you'll agree if you see the building). They have a menu with no character, rhyme or reason. It's like they copied their favorite items from Tavern in the Square. The food is forgettable and left me feeling sick to my stomach. We started with boneless buffalo wings - pretty standard. We received chicken fingers dripping in what tasted like Frank's Red Hot. 10 min after that plate was taken away by the bus boy, our server dropped a second plate of fingers, apologizing for the wait. He hadn't stopped by or looked at our table in over a half hour - never saw the first app delivered. I ordered the Harvest Salad. Wouldn't do it again. Lettuce to topping ratio was off. It's like the spinach was packed into the bowl. The raspberry vinaigrette was more like a raspberry syrup. Gross. My boyfriend ordered a BBQ chicken pizza - he enjoyed it and would order it again. Being critical - the crust was soggy and the tomato sauce / bbq sauce combo was a turnoff. I'm going to forgive the 2+ hour wait for our meal because we went in the first week and they were working through the kinks. The management has some work to do to whip the staff into shape but that's something you can fix. The overall summary though - it's a swing and miss. How could they improve? 1. Give your staff a theme - "The Establishment" has an old-timey feel to it. Dress them up in something other than Walmart's latest line of black work clothes. 2. Give your menu some character. If the pizza oven is your staple - then run with that. Strip the collection of fried food from the top, cut your menu in half and own some solid dishes that will bring customers back. 3. Figure out your bar - this is the perfect place to come up with some original cocktails. Cut down your list (and print some bar menus!) 4. Revisit your design. For the love of food - take down some of those TV's, you're ruining the place! read more

My family and I went to the establishment for dinner one night, and we couldn't have been more impressed with everything! The hostess that greeted us was extremely friendly, and the restaurant itself was beautiful. My kids loved the giant fans and all the TVs. We got the fried pickles for an appetizer. INCREDIBLE! I've never seen fried pickles served spear style, and the boom sauce was tremendous! For dinner my son got the steak tips, which were just silly how good they were. Moist, tender, perfectly marinated-if you come to the establishment and don't try the steak tips-there's no hope for you. GET THE STEAK TIP PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!!!' That's what my wife and I had for dinner. It was the best pizza I have ever had in my life. The steak tips add such an incredible flavor to the pizza. The perfect pizza-crispy crust, excellent cheese to sauce ratio, but the steak tips took the pizza to the next level!!!!! The owners even came over to our table to check in on how our food was, which was a very nice touch. In closing-the establishment has become a staple in our dinning playbook, and we will be sure to continue to come back! read more
