Came out of the way on a recommendation of my sister and it did not disappoint. Hubs had the grilled chicken torta which he inhaled. The onion rings are crispy without being greasy oh and the starter soo good. The Reuben was the best I've ever had on their homemade bread. Meat pies to take home. Oh my yum! No seriously! This place is so good! I've never had a bad meal here! Just writing this review is making me hungry thinking about the fried jalapeños or the tandoori chicken salad sandwich! My children love the fish and chips and the grilled cheese, and my partner can't get enough of the Ruben's! Updated 6/21/2020 We are now regulars here. The food is consistently great and we love the specials!! I love the Bahn Mi salad and the restaurant has been accommodating when I request to get a side of fried chicken (totally negating any diet I claim to be on ). The fries and onion rings are so good, I'm super picky about my onion rings and these top the lists We tried one of the specials in May, Nashville hot chicken sandwich. This was incredible. One of the BEST NEW restaurants to hit the Skagit and Whatcom County dining scenes. Every item is hand made with high quality ingredients (the ahi tuna salad was one of the freshest pieces of ahi I have had in a while), the food is creative and portions are HUGE. The meatball sub and the ruben were hits with a very picky East Coast sandwich eater and the jalapeno chips were the hit of a recent staff luncheon. Found this location on Yelp when we were in the area. Don't let the size of the location full you they produce some gourmet delicious large sandwiches. We enjoy sharing the chicken sandwich. We have passed this place for a while and finally stopped last week for the first time. Food was so amazing we came back again today and were so pleased with everything again! Everything tasted so fresh and locally sourced! Supporting local places right now found us a new gem. The Korean Chicken sandwich was great, loaded with flavor, but none of the flavors were muddied by being together. Great execution. The caramelized onion hand pies also came ready to party. The fries and onion rings were both very good. The tarter sauce provided with the sides was a sneaky powerhouse. Customer service: The woman was friendly and accurate on the phone. Our order was delivered pretty close to her estimate. Food: We ordered hand sandwiches, a Reuben, a burger, fries, onion rings, and a Caesar salad. Everything was flavorful and filling. Even though the onion rings were room temperature by the time they were eaten, they were still delicious. Beautiful blue, modern looking building on the corner of Fairhaven and Burlington Blvd with a small parking lot. Parking lot is accessible from the alleyway. Ordered take out on their opening day and was not disappointed! We ordered the Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich, Salmon Sandwich, Fairhaven Burger and a side of fries. All sandwiches come a la carte and sides are separate. Super friendly prices and the food was incredible! Chicken Sandwich came with the sauce on the side, which kept the chicken crispy. The kimchi slaw was the perfect balance of tangy, fresh and spicy. Salmon Sandwich was generous sized (as all their sandwiches are) with a big fillet of grilled coho salmon, crunchy cucumber, arugula, tomato and pickled red onion. The aioli was the perfect way to dress the bun! Fairhaven Burger was SO. GOOD. I ordered mine Medium Well (which is their standard temp) and it came juicy, with melted cheese (your choice, plus some crunchy grilled cheese bits- bonus!!!), grilled onions, poblano peppers, lettuce, tomato and horseradish mayo- perfect little kick to cut through the rich burger. Fries are thick cut, crispy on the outside, and nice and pillowy on the inside. Automatically comes with ketchup and housemate tartar sauce. So lucky to be one of their first customers! Perfect place to grab a take out meal. Our lunch order took just about 10 minutes and they offered curbside pickup, which was awesome! Can't wait to dine in eventually. Everything was so fresh and delicious! High quality ingredients, cooked just right. We got the veggie grilled cheese sandwich (SO good, and I've tried many), fish & chips (delicious), onion rings (super delicious), and the jalapeño chip things (really good too, but a little intense -- better as an app than a side to a main dish). More than enough food. I don't usually like hand cut fries, but these were amazing -- kinda crispy, but soft on the inside, not heavy or greasy or overwhelmed with peels. They were very busy, doing mostly take-out (Covid), but there's a few dine-in tables too. We would definitely be back when we're in the area. read more

Why go to Subway when this locally owned and 5 star restaurant is here? This intimate and classy place is a must try. I ordered the chicken muffuletta sandwich served on a toasted bun. One word: DELICIOUS! My husband had the Korean chicken sandwich topped with fresh cilantro. Both sandwiches were hearty and well worth the price. Taste buds should not suffer! We also ordered the onion rings- which practically sang to us- they are that good. Finished our meal with a brownie as big as my hand and oh so moist. We'll be back! read more

I tried the Fish and Chips today. THUMBS DOWN! Batter is crispy outside and soft, squishy and slimy inside. Batter tastes downright BITTER. The fish is really big, and I prefer smaller fish and more units. Chips are like steak fries, cut in about half inch size at various lengths, and enough for several meals. Most were a bit overcooked and not remarkable, but okay if I were really hungry. Cole slaw is home made and also not impressive. Comes with Ketchup and Tartar sauce. I plan to go back and try some of their other menu items. I definitely recommend you do NOT try the fish and chips. read more

Well I haven't been inside yet...but we got our food for our staff. I had the Bahn Mi Salad with chicken. The ingredients were so fresh! I really really loved it. I wasn't sure what I was expecting but it had delicious noodles, salad, some kind of sesame type dressing. Peanuts! Mmm. I seriously thinking about having it again this week. I was also fortunate enough to split a tandoori chicken salad sandwich with a co worker and it was also very good and very fresh. A lot of flavor and whatever bread was on it was soooo good and fresh I'd like to have it at my house. Again I haven't been inside and haven't seen an official menu but we had cookies too and I had this peanut butter chocolate chip cookie that was a huge monster. So delicious. Later towards the end of the night at work I tried to see if we had any left over cookies anywhere and I couldn't find any! Dang it! I hope they have them at the restaurant!
