We were a party of four. We ordered a burger with fries. Original pulled pork sandwich with fries, two piece fish and chips and a special barley salad with chicken added. Plus, two soda they were a large size and $3.50 each. Fries are an additional charge $4.50 for small and the chicken on the salad was an additional $6. The burger was slight under cooked and came with an overpowering horseradish sauce on it. The fish was borderline over cooked as well as the fries. The pulled pork said crispy but it had many charcoal black burnt piece that gave an off putting flavor and we're inedible. It was greasy and difficult to eat. The salad was the best item. I'd maybe come back and try some other items.

Fantastic find in Burlington! Picked up my daughter from WWU and looked through Yelp for some great reviews- found Fairhaven. Fairhaven didn't disappoint! Cute little place right off the I-5. You order at the counter, plenty of seating. We both ordered the fried chicken sandwich, onion rings, and I tried a Hibiscus soda, and my daughter ordered a lemonade. Everything is made fresh- including the bread. The girls behind the counter were really sweet and welcoming! Food was fantastic. We also ordered some sweet treats for the road! Highly recommend!

Very yummy food! The food tasted very fresh and very delicious, and the texture was great. The service was wonderful! I walked in, and a girl greeted me and brought me to a seat immediately. The ambiance was amazingly good. The people sitting next to us gave me some good advice about how to use my phone and how to leave a review here. Loved the place would come back!!

We found this place on Yelp and originally came to try the Classic BLT, jerk chicken, and Cuban sandwich, but unfortunately all three were unavailable--apparently the menu changes pretty often. We visited on a Saturday around noon, and the place was packed, which likely contributed to the roughly 30-minute wait for food. We ended up ordering the Carolina Gold pulled pork grilled cheese, the classic chicken sandwich, onion rings, and fried Brussels sprouts. The pulled pork grilled cheese was the standout, with rich flavor and ingredients that worked really well together. The classic chicken sandwich was less impressive--the chicken patty was large, but the seasoning felt bland and the breading was overly thick; honestly, fast food versions from Chick-fil-A or Popeyes were more satisfying. The onion rings and fried Brussels sprouts were also quite oily, enough that we felt a little heavy afterward. Service was friendly despite the rush, and the homemade breading across the dishes was a nice touch. Overall, it was a mixed experience, and we'd probably only stop by again if we happened to be nearby.

My girlfriend and I met at Fairhaven for lunch. Free parking can be found in the small parking lot. Credit cards are an accepted form of payment with a $0.50 service fee added to all credit card transactions. Outdoor seating is available. Hopefully, the outdoor seating is nicer during the warmer months since the outdoor seating appeared shabby on the day of my visit. Indoors is small and pleasant. All transactions are placed at the front counter. There is zilch in table service or interaction of any sort. Water is self-serve. To-go boxes are self-serve. The menu is inventive and I appreciate that many of the items can be ordered as a half or full serving. I slurped on a North Sound IPA for $6.50. For my lunch, I chose the Chicken Bahn Mi Sandwich for $14: chicken thigh, crisp carrot, daikon, romaine, bean sprouts, cucumber, radish, shaved jalapeno & sweet ginger soy glaze, on a French roll w/ garlic aioli. The sandwich is served by itself without any type of side. The sandwich was tasty but extremely messy due to the sauce. It's best to eat this entire sandwich in one sitting since my second half became soggy after taking it home. My girlfriend ordered the half Beet & Arugula Salad for $9 + $5 up-charge for the addition of grilled Chicken Breast: endive, pickled beets, farro, marinated feta, house vinaigrette & pumpkin seeds. Overall, Fairhaven serves tasty food at standard prices; however, I am not a fan of having to stand in line every time I want to order additional items. If I lived in the area, Fairhaven would not be in my rotation of dining in. Fairhaven may be better suited for take-out or Door Dash.

Really charming spot with such friendly service and a bright interior. We sampled four of their sandwiches and all were superb! We had the chicken sandwich which was a huge portion, with the chicken being moist and perfectly seasoned. I loved the roll on my salmon sandwich and it was fresh and one of the best fish sandwiches that I've had and so pleasant that it was not friend. Our daughter had the falafel wrap--loved how well seasoned it was and so enjoyable.... My husband had the burger and it was fantastic as well. We shared a large fries and onion rings--both were great as well. We wish we lived closer to this spot but to be honest think might head back to try to make this as part of regular dining out rotation despite the one hour drive, we need to think of more excuses to be up in Burlington. Just need to remember they're closed on Sundays!

First time eating here! Getting into the parking lot is a bit cumbersome but oh well. The staff was very nice and helpful with menu questions. I absolutely loved the Bahn Mi Salad. I opted to add fried tofu as a protein and probably could've eaten 3 of these salads. I will say that it was a little difficult to have a conversation as the noise from the kitchen is pretty loud. All in all it was a great experience and I will be returning for that salad. Cheers.

It was our first time trying out The Fairhaven and won't be our last. They serve up creative sandwiches & salads with global flavours in such a laid-back surrounds. I love they have indoor and outdoor seating within a cute flower garden. We sat indoors this visit. We tried the Cuban sandwich from the daily specials and the Classic BLT. The sandwiches are sizeable, fresh and delicious! They mean business with the fresh and quality ingredients along with their homemade bread. There is something in their House Brewed Iced Tea that elevated the taste that I must order again when we return soon. The service was fantastic as they are so attentive with guest dining in and also observed how busy they were with pick up orders with their great service with guests picking up orders.

Came there with family just before closing. The workers were kind enough to let us eat inside. The chicken strips were perfect and the best we've ever eaten! The salad was super fresh and crispy and loved the vinaigrette dressing. The curry chicken sandwich was strange tasting - it had cashews which was weird and the flavors weren't ok with each other - just didn't taste right. Maybe next time I won't try seasonal sandwiches. Overall, the quality of food was amazing and it was nice to sit inside - we'll definitely be back!

Stopped for lunch and tried one of their specials, morel and asparagus crostata. Absolutely devine! I also had a couple cookies and blueberry tart to go. We were happily surprised when we finally stopped in! We didn't realize it was kind of a "sandwich shop" if you will, but loved our food. It was all sooooo tasty and well worth the price. My fiancé and his mom each had a sandwich and they were MASSIVE. I ordered one of the bagel sandwiches and it was very delicious and filling. We all kind of shared two sides. Love the Fairhaven! Food is fresh and tasty I love the Bahn Mi salad with chicken. I used to love their hand pocket things with meat and stuff but I don't see them anymore. Maybe it's seasonal! I haven't sat down inside I usually get my food to go however the people at the counter are super friendly. The room is kinda small but charming. Anyways their sandwiches change from time to time but they are always flavorful and fresh. I think I had a tandoori chicken salad sandwich once this was awhile ago but it's what got me hooked. Don't over think it.....this is a must stop! We found this place after running an errand nearby and we were not disappointed! The spicy chicken sandwich had a nice kick but not too much. The chicken was also moist and flavorful. The jerk chicken sandwich was a special! This sandwich tastes so fresh! The chicken is juicy and the sandwich has avocado and caramelized onions. The sandwiches are huge! We couldn't finish them so it was a nice snack later on. The garlic Parmesan fries so are flavorful! If you love those flavors get these! Don't forget the aioli. The cookie is amazing! They make all the bread for the sandwiches which makes it taste so much better! When I'm in the area, I'm definitely coming back! I really don't understand the bad reviews. My new favorite sandwich shop. My wife and I split the pork grilled cheese and it was great and 1/2 was more than enough for a great lunch. My daughter had a Portabella sandwich that was on special and she ate the entire sandwich! Both were out of this world yummy as were the steak fries - Fresh, hot and not oily. The service was super friendly and helpful. Entire place including the bathrooms were spotless. Beautiful day to sit outside and have lunch. read more

What a gem! We have visited The Fairhaven twice - once for eat in and once for take out. The food does not disappoint. The BLT is amazing and lemon bars are outstanding. What a find! We tried the fried chicken sandwich, the noodle salad, BLT, and some assorted cookies. Everything was delicious! Very large portion sizes and fairly inexpensive. First timers for lunch this afternoon. Food was excellent- we ordered Ban Mi Salad with salmon and the tri tip salad. Some of the best salads we have had. Side of onion rings and Fries, those were great too. Good taste and no grease. All the ladies were pleasantly kind, helpful and overall service was great. We will be back! Ok, so I travel a-lot. One of the great foods I have discovered while in Florida was the Cuban sandwich. I love it so much I make them at home. Well, at least a close approximation of one since the bread down there is so flaky and good... I haven't found anything close up here. My Cuban sandwich here was big. Like, two lunches worth big. I also got a side of fries which were AWESOME. A little malt vinegar would have made sure I finished them because boardwalk fries are... Well... Just that good. Back to the sandwich, and my girlfriends sandwich. They were not bad. But great. No. I mean, great for Burlington. But, drive to Anacortes and go to Ghere-a-Deli and try one of their sandwiches good... No comparison. Would I go back? I am on the fence, I don't know that I will. But, their fried chicken dinner does look really, really good! read more

Great corned beef on my Reuben, salad options also appreciated. Counter service for inside dining a little awkward, but they made it work with a minimum of difficulty. Wife had the grilled with vegetables, also very nice. Nice local flavor. read more

As a fat foodie, this is one of my favorite restaurants of all Time. The owner was the previous long term chef of the great bar and restaurant down the street, the Trainwreck. He brought his menu here and made it better. I order 3-5 items every time I come through my old hometown of Burlington. This is the most solid 5 star review I have ever wrote. Burger is amazing, I get every time and I am a burger fanatic. Ya then I order like four other items. You must stop here and order everything in menu, all are items you would get at a fancy five star restaurant in a big city. Amazing. I wish this restaurant was in my hometown now. read more

Wow! This place is incredible! On a whim we ordered takeout from The Fairhaven and it is immediately a new favorite. We got the Veggie Grilled Cheese, jalapeño rings with cotija lime aioli (amazingly delicious!) and a large Bahn Mi salad with a side of the grilled soy marinated chicken thigh. Iced Tea also delicious! As we ate, we kept saying over and over how delicious everything tasted. I highly, highly recommend this place. read more

I was shopping in Burlington with the ladies and lunchtime arrived. We were looking to try something new, and the Fairhaven popped up in a quick map search for restaurants. It was tricky to get into the parking lot, but don't let that stop you, please! The cute little shop inside is sure to impress, or you can sit outside at one of the provided picnic tables when the weather is nice. I ordered a made-to-order baked Mac & Cheese, with a side of fried cauliflower bites that were marinated in pickle juice, and a blueberry kombucha to wash it all down. My aunt ordered a beet salad with arugula greens (although she subbed out for regular salad greens). My mom got a gigantic BLT on freshly baked bread, and I rendered a variety of cookies to bring home from their baked in-house offerings at the counter. WOW...I'm so glad we persevered through the parking ordeal! We'll be back for sure! read more

Oh wow. Found this local spot on our way home from a hike near Mt Baker and we're so glad that we did! The food is DELICIOUS. I was honestly a little skeptical because the menu has lots of different flavors -- meatball sub, banh mi salad, Korean fried chicken sandwich-- how can one spot possibly master everything? They also make their own bread. I called in an order for pickup and then went in to pay. The space inside is charming. The staff was also incredibly kind and they are bringing pickup orders out to people's cars. The food: we got a BLT, garlic fries, and a banh mi salad with chicken. This is the best food we have had in a long time (we live in Seattle). So wholesome, fresh, and filling. The BLT is on thick cut homemade sourdough and made with house smoked bacon. It was tender but crispy, smoky but not too salty, and overall perfect. The salad was so fresh and crunchy and the dressing was addictive. The chicken thigh was tender and juicy-- it could have been slightly saltier but the salad came with some chili sauce that zipped it right up. The portions are large, everything was hot that was supposed to be, and it was packaged so well that it probably would have made the trip all the way home (but we ate in the parking lot as we were famished). We wish we lived closer! I can't recommend this spot enough. We will be back when we're in the area for sure. read more

Once you get past how pretty the place is inside you can really stop and appreciate the smell and look of the food of people around you. We had the Korean fried chicken sandwich and the veggie grilled cheese. Amazing! The bread on the grilled cheese was crunchy and perfect. It had a good amount of veggies & cheese with a lot of flavor. The Korean Fried chicken sandwich was also delicious, but don't forget the onion rings! Seriously so fresh and delicious! We ordered take out as that's the only option right now and joined my daughter and her man in the park for lunch. The food was AMAZING. We asked for extra sauces and got no flack for that so clearly the bad review was off base somehow. I had the eggplant grilled cheese which was the next grilled cheese I've ever had!! The boys had the Korean sandwich and my daughter had fish and chips. They were all amazing. My boyfriend and I shared a side of fried and a beet salad and we loved them. The fries are clearly made in house which is rare these days and their sauces are just as legit. The salad was the perfect mix of beets to arugula with a great light dressing. I don't see how they could have made any of it any better. read more

The Fairhaven is a staple in our family's regular take out food rotation. The food is super fresh and always tastes great! We love the sandwiches, fish and chips, and the beet arugula salad. The homemade lemonade is the best around and the desserts are to die for. You can't go wrong! They also have a really nice patio and some tables indoors if you want to dine in. A great addition to the food scene in Skagit! read more

This little gem has the BEST food in the valley, HANDS DOWN!!! My boyfriend and I came in here on a whim for dinner. I got their special, the ahi tuna salad, and he got the special, fried chicken sandwich. Then we split onion rings and jalapeno rings. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. The only thing I have to complain about, I wish the ahi was a permanent menu item. We will definitely be spending a lot of time and money here! New favorite restaurant! read more

Looks are very deceiving, it seems to be just a little shipping container on the corner of fairhaven but inside it is some of the best atmosphere and food I've had! This is a hidden gem in Skagit and absolutely fresh and delicious. 10/10 amazing and just made its way to the top of our favorite places to eat. The ginger lime soda was to die for, the chicken fried cauliflower was divine, the Parmesan garlic fries were amazing and the fried chicken sandwich is PERFECTION! Hands down my new favorite restaurant in Skagit ! Ordered the Fairhaven Burger , Salmon Sandwich and fries. Burger was perfectly cooked and the flavors of all the fixins and the homemade bun rivaled any burger I have had in a long time. Salmon sandwich was just as yummy, with a beautiful fresh piece of salmon. Fries were hand cut , crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. And we had JUST the right amount of sauces to go , don't need too many sauces to enjoy the taste of real food :) The food is truly made with love. And the restaurant itself is so hip and trendy , can't wait for date night there when we can date night again ! Delicious and tasteful, just what Skagit needed. read more

Lovely little spot, really glad we went. Get the blueberry juice in the brewed iced tea, you'll be glad you did. Will be back based on the fries and the lemon garlic aioli alone - everything was delicious, but those stuck in my brain. read more

This is an absolute must try restaurant. They bake all their own breads with local flour. They utilize local produce. Their food is satisfying, delicious and wholesome. I can't say enough good things about it. read more

First visit. Decided to get a bite while we were out and about. Phoned in our order and waited outside. Very nice little place. Cool gardens outside and a lovely interior from what we could see. Food was delivered timely as promised. Fries - we got them crispy as that is our jam. Hand cut, crispy and delicious. Checked off all the boxes. Hand Pies - shepherd's pie and a corned beef and veggie. The pastry is flaky and delicious. The filling hot and tasty. Grilled salmon sandwich - good sized chunk of fish, cooked nicely, still moist. Great bun, nice sandwich fixings that didn't detract from flavor of salmon. All in all, a five star experience. I prefer my food seasoned a bit more but I always have salt and hot sauce around so that takes care of that problem. The food was good, employees super friendly. Also, the prices are as good as you can get in this neck of the woods for cuisine of this character. Get down there folks. Not to be missed. read more

I stopped by The Fairhaven in Burlington and it completely exceeded my expectations. The ambiance is incredibly cute and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and grab a bite. We ordered the falafel wrap and the black bean burger, and OMG, they were so, so good! Everything tasted perfectly prepared and packed with flavor. I also got a cup of their drip coffee, which was fantastic and hit the spot perfectly. Beyond the amazing food, the staff here is absolutely the nicest. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. As an added bonus, the restrooms were sparkling clean, which is always a huge plus in my book! Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area. I will definitely be back! read more

The Fairhaven is a very modern place, and it's a beautiful environment, so I'd give it two stars alone just for that. I love the decor and the design. Very modern, very cool. The food itself was not to my taste, however, the fries and the baked goods (reccamond the brownie) were great. I'm going to be back soon, but maybe I'll try a different item. read more

The owner has exposed my families last name and address to Google. She has attempted to harm my family by exposing our personal information online because we complained about a health issues at her restaurant. We are filing a police report and will be pursuing a lawsuit against her for putting my family in harms way. read more
