The staff said that is from the bar drains that are in that corner. Try to stay away from that end. The bar area also has a stage area where there is live entertainment some evenings, ranging from open mic, live bands, quizzo, DJ/dance floor, and karaoke. They also have a large screen they use to broadcast major sporting events. The restaurant tables are typical casual dining style with a mixture of free standing tables and chairs. There are separate areas for larger groups and private parties. The staff is friendly and attentive. As they get to know you, they remember your name and your usual food and drink orders. Kudos to the bartenders for knowing what "up" means! I always get my goto drink, Grey Goose up with a twist, prepared properly and generously here. Can't say that about some bars in Delco I have been to--either incorrect or overpriced. The food is overall typical for a casual dining/bar. There are some must-try items on the menu. If you like crabmeat, the Norwood tots are a different twist with how to have crabmeat. Creative! The pizzas are pretty good as well. I am very much a "purist" when it comes to what a pizza should be made of, but the cauliflower-crust is my exception. I haven't had good pizza in Delco until I had the cauliflower-crust pizza. A thin, crispy crust! Not the thick, doughy crust that I have encountered with most Delco pizza places. For those that don't like cauliflower, have no fear. The cauliflower-crust pizza does not taste like cauliflower. You would not know it contains cauliflower. There are also some great specials I have enjoyed. One special I really loved was the halibut with risotto. I could eat that EVERY day! I come here pretty often. I have come here for lunch, dinner, drinks, and held my 50th birthday party here. Always a good experience.

A friend and I came by for a quiet supper to catch up and hopefully have an enjoyable dining experience. To start off, the Caesar salad and focaccia were indeed quite tasty. After being talked into trying the tasting menu, I was disheartened upon taking my first bite of the chicken Parmigiana and accompanying pasta. Both seemed as if they had been sitting for a while and then were unevenly reheated. The pasta, in particular, was lackluster and worse than anything I might have hurriedly boiled at eleven at night upon arriving home after a long trip and finding only packaged pasta and canned tomato sauce in the cupboard. But I could have lived with all of this had it not been for the service. Clearly my friend and I were the afterthought of all afterthoughts to our disinterested waitress. After hounding us to order before we had properly reviewed the menu, she promptly put us on the pay-no-mind list, as dirty dish after dirty dish accumulated at the table from the tasting menu she had so strongly urged me to try. I also abhor cheapness on the part of restaurants. Would it have killed Rosemary to offer us a second piece of focaccia, given that there were two of us and the portion was a better fit for just one? Lest anyone accuse me of having expected the waitstaff to read my mind, I indeed asked. It's not like we weren't spending a pretty penny there. The business could have well afforded to allow each of us a reasonable portion of its much-touted starter. After we finally managed to flag down our waitress amid the plethora of dirty dishes still sporting some of the mediocre food, I paid in cash on account of the restaurant informing me on the bill that a surcharge would be applied to a credit card transaction. Another joy! When the waitress took the note, she said, "Thank you," and that was that. I decided against calling after her to request change since it was one of those borderline instances where the note was close enough to twenty percent that it is a bit awkward to request someone return with change. So she walked off with a 26% or so tip after having left us on the dining equivalent of "read" the entire night. And then there's the issue of price: While not outrageous, everything is 15-20% more expensive than it should be, and after one pauses to think about it, the tasting menu offers barely any deal at all. If one orders the chicken like I did, it is no cheaper than ordering the starter, entrée, and dessert à la carte. If Rosemary had also offered, say, a soup, then it would be a deal. But clearly generosity is not in its owner's purview. The tiramisu, I will say, was excellent, and my friend and I enjoyed every morsel, and for that reason, along with the Caesar salad, I can muster three stars. Had I not walked through the door having heard so many people rave about Rosemary, perhaps I would have found it to be a restaurant with a pleasant ambiance, a good appetizer, and fine dessert despite a thoroughly middling entrée. But a Delco gem it is not.

In order to beat the crazy construction traffic outside of Philly and to have a buffer for whatever TSA nightmare we were going to face, we got back near the airport early... like 4 1/2 hours before our flight kind of early. I wanted breakfast outside of the airport so I found this spot while he was refilling the rental car. I got the French toast with homefries. The french toast was perfect, with just a tiny bit of crisp in spot from the griddle. Same with the homefries. I would have liked a bit more seasoning while they were cooking, but a bit of salt and pepper and I was good to go. My coworker got the big breakfast but subbed out the homefries for corned beef hash. While I'm not a fan of corned beef hash, it looked exactly like how my mom and grandfather like it, with a little bit of crisp to it. The pancake was huge and he said his over medium eggs were cooked exactly like he hoped they would be. Now I just need to plan out my flights so I can come get breakfast here again and try one of the sandwiches, or omelettes, or maybe get French toast again...

It appears on first glance when going inside that it used to be some other place but I am not sure what, and when we were there it seemed that it was empty. Like devoid of people whatsoever. There was our server, and I'm not sure if someone was even in the kitchen, but there had to be because our order was being prepared by someone. This is actually good, because that morning was a dragging one and having it nice and quiet with almost not distraction was absolutely wonderful! What I like about B&B is also what kind of sets it back just a bit, but I think this place is on the rise, and as it gains popularity, this will start to be talked about around southeast Delco and definitely and up a go-to spot. There are complaints in some of the reviews here that the food is "underseasoned" which is something that I would like to argue wholeheartedly. Breakfast is very subjective; especially standard American breakfast staples like omelets, eggs and bacon platters, waffles. However, that is where the underuse of season here is actually a smart strategy. Most of these dishes would be seasoned with salt, pepper, or by some, butter or hot sauce. All these items are readily available and placed on the table in food quantity so that the diner can easily bring their meal to the exact taste that they enjoy. In doing this thought, nothing really shines here. It is all very good, but nothing it really unique. And that is good thing especially when you are looking for a place to enjoy breakfast that's a down-home style meal and you don't want to have to cook. I will definitely be back again for another homestyle breakfast in the future, and the prices are more than reasonable. If you live in the area this is a great place to frequent for a breakfast you would make yourself or would expect to have if you stopped home for the day. Went to The Ridley House today and was really disappointed with the service. Our server took a long…read moretime to come over initially, and after that we barely saw her. Our drinks were empty for most of the meal, and we had to ask another server just to find her. One of our drinks was made wrong, and when we finally got her attention, she seemed annoyed she needed to come to our table and actually walked away while we were still talking, which felt really dismissive. What makes it more frustrating is that there's an automatic 18% gratuity even for small tables. I ended up having to tipping $22 total, and for only seeing her a handful of times, it definitely didn't feel deserved. To top it off, when I mentioned to the head bartender (who was acting as the manager) that I wouldn't be coming back, he pulled $40 cash out of his own wallet and offered it to me to "give them another chance." It honestly made me feel so uncomfortable and was not an appropriate way to handle the situation. The food was fine, but the service and overall experience were not. For the prices and the built-in tip, I expected much better. I will not be returning.

We placed our food order at 2:40pm. I received my margarita at 3:09pm. We received our food at 3:16pm. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was really good. The thick steak like fries were fine. We asked for the bill and it took about 20 minutes and she has to be reminded when we saw her walk by to bring the check.

Spending a holiday here was pleasant with good food, kind staff, and great service. The food I had included a special which was a stuffed green pepper and had mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts for the sides. Preceding that was a tasty beef orzo soup. My parents enjoyed the food as well. Almost as a tradition we were curious about dessert which we usually end our meal on at this place. When I checked out the spread alone I was in over my head trying to see the almost countless sweet options. But that was when a major person on the staff (possibly the owner) let me know what everything was. I was impressed he knew the vast amount of cakes down to the cupcakes and tarts! My dad and I both selected the German chocolate cake while my mom desired the lemon meringue. All was tasty! If you need a place any time of the year (or on a festive celebration) come to the Springfield Diner with good friends and you will have a nice time!
