I never wanted to leave a review for this place because I don't want to share it. Just want to keep this place to myself but I got to give credit where it is due. We go there as often as possible and each time the dishes are amazing. This time we went & we made reservations last minute for outside and then it started to rain. I told them I would eat in the alley standing out back under the awning because that's how good the food is. Somehow with a packed restaurant and a table of 25 people in there they made a table for us 6 to get inside. I don't know how they did it but they managed to make it work. I don't want to say to much more about this place because I'm selfish so if you don't know what good customer service truly is & phenomenal food is please save me a table & head to the fast food drive thru down the street. read more

Delicious American food. The Fat Snook has an outdoor patio surrounded by various plants that is partially removed from the street. Beach music played over the speakers for the duration of our visit. We visited the Fat Snook during their happy hour where they offer discounts on select wine and beer and two cocktails. The happy hour runs from 4 to 6 on weekdays and also includes some snacks. We ordered the twice baked avocado and empanadas from the happy hour menu. In addition, I ordered the creole shrimp and scallops from the regular menu. Before our meal, the server brought out a tasty spoonful of amuse-bouche. The twice baked avocado had a lovely flavor and was served on a bed of greens lightly coated in a sweet dressing. The empanadas had a tasty curry flavor and were served over a bed of greens paired with a light vinaigrette. The creole shrimp and scallops dish was delicious as a whole, and the scallops themselves were perfectly cooked and fresh. Well everyone already knows this is an excellent restaurant. But I wanted to say that I have some special dietary requirements and not only did they accommodate them, but they made a special dish unlike any I had ever had, some kind of pan fried avocado/pasta/coconut something or other. We came here to celebrate our five year anniversary while vacationing in Cocoa Beach. Loved the personalized card at our table signed by all the staff. Our waitress Jeanine (not sure if I spelled her name right, sorry girl!!) was super sweet. We loved all the food. We ordered the Scallops, Cornbread, Poblano Pesto Shrimp, Filet of Beef, and the Mexican Hot Cocoa Pot. (Get the bottle of wine, much cheaper than ordering glasses. Trust us!!) We were surprised by the on the house shot of their homemade Orangecello . That was very kind. There is an option to buy the kitchen staff a six pack, and we highly recommend it! (we bought them one, naturally) It's a crazy time and the food and hospitality industry is hurting, show these people some love!!!! We had the blue crab special Mexican deviled eggs and split scallop shrimp entre so we could taste desert too. The initial palate cleanser was a bit on the salty side but I am a salt lover (might not be so for others) Had the key lime pie & it was not as good as we hoped but it was nice. The food was good but parking was a bit of an issue I would go back once I've hit a few more high ranking places. We've tried Margaux, villa palmas, River rocks dockside, & the usual chain food at cape canaveral. There are a few more to check out before we would return. If you want fine dining in Cocoa Beach, this is your place. The seafood selections melt in your mouth, the ambiance elegant and casual, and the wait staff attentive and professional. The combinations of spices and seasoning seemed las if we were eating a forkful of art. Everything was cooked perfectly. I suggest getting the chef's Catch 1 or Catch 2 of the day. A great atmosphere. Today they had two local fishes that were caught that morning. And the blue crab is live caught and not frozen. Yum! The grouper apparently ears crustacean sap has a naturally nutty flavor. So was served with just a little olive oil and salt. We love it when the fish is so good it stands on its own (read fresh Alaskan spot prawns, king salmon). And this was no exception. This is a super once give restaurant. They served a Bahamian fish called the triple tail in a sweet crust made of vanilla wafers of all things. Hands down, the best restaurant in Brevard. Yeah, I said it! If you are looking for something that is a bit fancier, more special occasion, or simply looking for a quality meal, this is the place to dine. If they awarded Michelin stars in Brevard County, this restaurant would have the first one. The restaurant is small, so reservations are pretty much required. They do have a (small) bar that they usually keep open for those who fail to make a reservation so you may get lucky, but if you want a table, call ahead! They are a seafood-forward restaurant, but they do offer a dish or two for folks who may not appreciate seafood (although to be fair, if you're not into seafood, you really ought to go somewhere else). The sides, the appetizers, the wine list, the composition, the flavor profiles, the service.....everything here is just impeccable. I have never ordered something here that I didn't love, and I have never had a less than stellar experience. Seriously, if you have not dined here, make it a point to have your next special meal here. I truly wish there were more restaurants of this caliber in Brevard. read more

What a delightful restaurant, only issue is parking can be difficult. Our server Casey was awesome!! He reviewed the daily specials with an amazing amount of detail. He obviously has tried the items and they were as good as described. A great team as multiple people delivered our food so we were all served simultaneously. Started with the Thai fish soup, scallop appetizer, and a baked oyster plate that looked incredible. For dinner the duck and flat iron steak were delicious. The flat iron was perfectly cooked med rare. It was served on a bed of Yukon smashed potatoes with a tomatillo and something pickled and poblanos & corn anglaise...I am getting the same thing when we return. What an incredible find this place is. Fine dining in a community filled with fried seafood joints on every corner. Not that I don't like a good fried seafood basket! However, since this would have been my 39th wedding anniversary with my sweet bride Pam who went to heaven in 2019 I wanted something special during my stay on the Space Coast. The Fat Snook hit it out of the park on all levels. Great creative food, excellent atmosphere and fantastic attentive service. My server Megan could not have been better providing great help in selecting my meal while also providing some good conversation as I dined alone in a sea of couples. I want to also provide a shout out to Casey as well. While he was not my primary server he has a great personality and you could see he also provided super service. On this night the chef was providing a Prix Fixe men that included a starter, entree and desert for the incredible price of just $35. I started with the caesar salad which was beautifully presented and full of flavor. For my main course I had the grilled duck breast over a parsnip puree with golden ale and pear mostarda. The flavors were fantastic and the duck cooked to a perfect medium rare. I did pay a lttle extra for my dessert with an upgrade to Key Lime pie which was possibly the best I've ever had! Moving from Seattle I feel Melbourne lacks a number of what I call " fancy" delicious food options , but this place is one of them . After driving past here numerous times, I finally decided to give The Fat Snook a try last night. After recently moving down here to the Space Coast, I was pretty underwhelmed by the high-end food scene, but I wasn't expecting too much from a sleepy beach town. After discovering the menu for this place however, my hope was revitalized. I truly miss seeing exciting combinations, homemade pasta, unique fish and meats, and seeing this menu brought back that joy. My boyfriend and I came here last night and decided to order off of their $35 summer prixe-fix menu which is a great deal for 3 courses. We were about 5 minutes late for our reservation, but we were seated immediately upon arrival. The service was extremely friendly and our waitress was extremely knowledgeable on the menu. As for the food, for our appetizers, we ordered the tomato pie and the Thai coconut curry soup. For our entrees, we ordered the opah with gnocchi and the pork belly with sriracha pasta. Lastly, for dessert, we ordered the pot de creme and the peach tart. Honestly, I was really hoping to enjoy this place, but the food was overall underwhelming. The tomato pie was delicious--I loved the crust and the tomatoes were extremely fresh. In fact, I left wondering why they didn't use this crust for the peach tart. As for the Thai curry soup, our server recommended this over the blistered gem salad, and I was rather disappointed in the end. This soup tasted like something I could've made at home and the flavors fell flat. The vegetables in the soup really didn't add any pop of flavor and the soup didn't have much dimension in it. It simply relied too much on the fact that it used a red curry paste to give it that wow factor and ultimately did not live up to the hype. As for the entrees, I love homemade pastas so I was really excited to tries the pasta here, but after trying them, they left more to be desired. The flavor in the sriracha pasta was strong and yummy, but the pasta itself and the gnocchi were both a little tough and dry. It almost seems as if the pasta dough was overworked--which tends to leave this kind of a texture. I also wish the gnocchi in the opah dish was seared in more of a brown butter, broth sauce. It came out really dry in the end. As for the opah, the pickled parsnips, and the watermelon, these were actually a great combination and the opah was cooked well. And for the pork belly on the pork belly sriracha pasta, it was underseasoned and really didn't add much to the dish. Lastly, for dessert, I actually enjoyed the pot de creme. The torched homemade marshmellow fluff and crumbly graham make a great pairing and the chocolate creme is made well. As for the peach tart, the dough on this was extremely lack-luster...like I said, I don't know why they didn't use the same dough as they did on the tomato pie. The texture itself was not exactly enjoyable--it was somewhat mushy and not really what you would expect from a tart. The peach flavor was okay--nice and light. You can tell this is a place that uses great ingredients, has great service, and pays attention to detail, but when it comes to the food, it's pretty lackluster--especially on the high-end spectrum. It fails to layer flavors and execute the wow factors that you really hope for from the ingredients. I do hope to return to try to key lime pie and maybe to even visit Crush XI sometime though. read more

If you think you can't find elevated food in Cocoa Beach, you are wrong. This is my favorite place to go anytime I'm in the area. Service is spectacular and you get really good quality ingredients that are prepared well. For example, last night I had the amberjack which was perfectly cooked and well seasoned unlike the way overcooked fish I had at another place the previous night. They've got a really nice selection of wines and will even let you taste some before you select if you're just buying a glass. If you're a foodie, a gourmand, or whatever you want to call it or just want a good dinner. This is an excellent place. They also have a patio area. read more

The table ordered the bulgoki, the cornbread, Mexican street corn deviled eggs and the scallop app to start. I know it seems pricey, and we've only visited for special occasions but worth every penny, and we need to visit more often. Layers of flavors, amuse bouche, pallet cleansing sorbet, fresh made desserts that aren't too sweet, daily catch choices, great wine and beer menu- fabulous servers and staff. Our server Amanda made my birthday dinner special and found time to chat between courses and serving other tables. Relaxed, quiet atmosphere which is sometimes so necessary on a Friday evening! We finally realized that we can come just to enjoy a bottle of wine and starters to share and still leave completely satisfied. This place is awesome! Yelp rated #1 for a seafood restaurant in Cocoa Beach. The food was so good the first night we ate there, we came back the second night to explore more of the menu. It is a family owned and run restaurant. Mom in the back is the orchestrating the most amazing dishes / desserts, and daughter out front managing a knowledgable and friendly staff. The shrimp and grits are like nothing you have had before and the key lime pie is a must. Recommend reservations as it is popular and fills up. Went here for a late meal last minute. We were seated quickly and the service was awesome. The food was just okay. My husband got the Mahi Mahi with risotto and our friend got Red Snapper. Both lacked flavor but were great portions of fish. Presentation was gorgeous (check out the pictures). I got cornbread which was truly heavenly and lobster bisque. The soup had huge chunks of lobster and made a great light meal. Beer and cocktail list was lacking but enough for us to enjoy a local beer. read more
