I've been wanting to get pierced by Mejuri for years so I treated myself to a flat and a helix piercing as a birthday/graduation gift. With so many new piercing shops opening up (Studs and Rowan), Mejuri charged the least for their piercing service. $25 covering up to 4 piercings and the cost of jewelry. The Pearl and Star flat back were $98 each. Got pierced by Angelique on 6/17. Paid about $250 in total. You need an appointment every time so I went back Friday 6/19 (2 days later) because I had a concern that the bar wasn't long enough to accommodate my swelling. She looked at it and said it was healing okay. I felt rushed and my feelings were dismissed because she had other appointments waiting. But literally the next day, my ears became swollen. Her last day was on Sunday and they didn't have any piercers to take her spot as when I tried to make an appointment online it was showing none available for the rest of June and all of July. So I went to another piercing shop who said my ears look infected and tried saving the piercing by putting in a longer bar. Something I had informed her I needed a few days prior. Had she listened, my ears wouldn't be having all these problems. Now a week later, I'm on antibiotics trying to heal this infected piercing. I can't say for certain if it was the cleanliness, the piercer's mistake, angle it was pierced, or whatever else that might have caused it. It was done with a needle so that's good. And I do have other piercings that didn't give me any issues, they were just done at piercing/tattoo shops that I feel have higher and better standard of care and cleanliness. Definitely listen to your body when you think something is wrong. Definitely take your money elsewhere if you're looking to get a piercing. read more

I made an online purchase on a Monday night and could pick it up the next day, but I waited until Friday. They will hold onto your order for 7 days and will be refunded if you don't pick it up. The reason why I chose to do pick-up is that delivery seemed too risky. I walked in Friday at opening, 10:15 AM, and was welcomed by the Mejuri staff. Picking up was quick and easy; I signed a pick-up sheet and was informed of the return policy and warranty. The worker who assisted me was very informative. The store experience at this location is not good. It could be just this particular employee only. I was only one of two parties in the store and I just didn't feel like I was getting enough help or suggestions when I came in explicitly wanting guidance on what to purchase for a gift. I still bought something but I left with a bad taste. The employee wasn't that friendly or knowledgeable. I also hate how the prices are not shown so the employee has to look it up on the device every time. This review is for their Santana Row store, and not the quality of their jewelry. I've shopped Mejuri online for years and have always been very happy with their jewelry. They are known for fine jewelry at more affordable prices. I like their dainty, simple, modern pieces. So, I was a bit let down during my (very first) visit to a brick and mortar Mejuri store. There's a guard by the door way and a "Line Starts Here" sign outside their store. I waited in line like an idiot and realized no one was paying attention to the sign. The store is tiny and should really hold no more than 10 people at once, but upon entering there's probably 20 people. The jewelry are not in display cases but just out in the open. Everyone is grabbing, trying things on, coughing on the pieces, and talking over each other. It was chaos. Because the store is so small, there wasn't very much on display. Also, there are no price tags on the pieces, so you need your phone to look up the pieces online. The few associates that were there tried their best to help out, but they could only help 1 guest at a time. After about 10 minutes inside, I decided not to purchase what I had planned to purchase. Made an appointment for an ear piercing online a few weeks in advance. I recommend making an appointment as soon as you are thinking of getting a piercing done here because they tend to fill up very quickly. A hack is to check the website often because there are often last-minute cancellations, and you can snag an earlier slot. We got here and tried to see if there was an earlier appointment available, but there wasn't since they were fully booked so we ended up coming back after browsing Santana row. Random sidenote, is that the security guy here is very friendly. Make sure to check in with somebody a few minutes before your appointment and they'll show you the different options available. I wish I could remember the name of the sales associate (who was training to become a piercer?) that helped me look at the different options available because they were super helpful and shared their suggestions based on my anatomy. The only thing I'll mention here that was slightly disappointing was that they don't have every piercing jewelry from their website available. :( if you're looking for soemthing specific I'd recommend calling and making sure it's in stock. Modey was my piercer, and they were very professional and super friendly. They made my piercing experience which I was a little bit nervous for super comfortable. The appointment was quick easy and not too painful. I felt really taken care of when they shared aftercare instructions. I made my follow up appointment, but those filled up super quickly, so I recommend making them as soon as you're done with your first appointment. read more

However, while she stepped away to retrieve my item, another employee openly spoke negatively about the business and its practices. This experience left me feeling uneasy about my purchase. If an employee is unhappy, it's unprofessional to voice those frustrations in front of customers who are excited to shop. It diminishes the experience and reflects poorly on the brand. I've gotten three piercings now at the Santana Row studio this year and I can't say enough about how great the experience has been. I was very nervous about the first 2 piercings (upper lobes, and I haven't had any piercing since I was a kid). The piercer (Angie) talked me through it with perfect patience and skill and kindness. I barely felt anything, and the healing process went very well. When I came back for the third piercing, I was excited instead of scared because of how wonderful the first appointment was. I got my flat (upper cartilage), and the experience was just as great. I wasn't sure before I went what a store piercing studio would be like, but I was very impressed with the quality of care that felt as careful and skillful as you would want for what is essentially a medical procedure. Also at both appointments Angie took the time to talk me through options based on my ear anatomy and what jewelry I wanted. I found out about Mejuri from a Google search 5 years ago when looking for simple stacker solid gold rings and have been purchasing various pieces from them since. I now have (3) 14k white gold huggies, (2) 14k yellow gold rings- flat matte brushed and the croissant dome looking one, (1) gold vermeil double row beaded ring, (2) 14k rose gold rings- one beaded and one plain, bought (1) 14k white gold twisted ring for my bff. My only complaint is that just a couple weeks ago I bought (1) pair of gold vermeil chunky hoops and they arrived way smaller than I thought even though it was called "large." I double checked the size and made measurements to make sure. I kept them because it was cute, but the expectation of the model's pics vs reality of the actual size was disappointing. I had to make exchanges for rings in store before and the associate was very nice and helpful. She was patient with me while I repeatedly tried on the rings. I couldn't decide to either keep the sizes that I originally bought or to up a size. There are no half sizes! I ended up deciding to up the sizes in the end :) read more

I was relieved walking into the store and receiving the help I did at Mejuri Santana Row after the horrendous service at Brandy Melville down the street lol. Whoever the hiring manager is for this store did a great job as everyone who was in the store at the time I were all being helped by the two associates working. They took their time with each individual guest and excused themselves to help others while we all looked around the store. I really enjoyed my shopping experience this Saturday. I've never been in here before and didnt really know how the counter was set up or anything. Just walked in and started browsing. Started looking at rings and the store associates are actually in the left side of the main jewelry bar! They could honestly pass as customers. Julia started talking to me and asking if i was looking for anything in particular. I honestly wasn't but started trying on rings while she told me a bit about all the different ones and she started guessing my ring size. She put a size 6 ring in me.. one that was 14k gold and with diamonds and i instantly fell in love!! This is the only Mejuri store I've visited and I've been in here multiple times! The customer service has always been great - the ladies are attentive and didn't pressure me to purchase anything that I wasn't comfortable with. There are definitely some pros and cons to a store like Mejuri that you'll want to consider like: If you're interested in checking out their pieces and trying them on, it's best to visit on a slow day. The ladies are attentive and will show you any piece you're interested in. They'll give you suggestions on how to take care of your jewelry and how to mix and match (if you get items that are charm-friendly). However, once the store has more than maybe 8 customers, it gets really difficult to roam around their displays and things can get really chaotic. If someone is standing at the earrings displays and checking it out, you'll have to be standing there with them or you'll need to wait until they're done. It isn't the best experience when you're waiting to look at pieces. They do have wipes for the earrings you can clean them before and after you try them on. Overall, I haven't had a terrible experience. Sure, you won't get the greatest service when you visit on a busier day, but they still attempt to give you a great experience. Highly recommend viewing their pieces on their website first and then popping in to try them on in store! read more

Was super excited to find out on FB that Mejuri opened up at Santana Row! It is right across the street from LB Steak, and I recommend parking at the Winchester Garage which is the closest one. Today, 11/18 is the grand opening and they are having 20% off everything - with a minimum spend of $150 (excluding gift cards). Super cute and dainty shop with a live dj mixing some great music. They even have stylists on-site to help you with any questions you may have, or if you can't decide which designs to go with. I've only experienced browsing their jewelry online so it's so nice to actually see the items in person and try them out before purchasing them - saves the hassle of buying/gambling and having to possibly return them. A little disorganized on their first opening day, had to wait a little while to even catch an available stylist's attention. I bought a bracelet and a necklace but the bracelet was out of stock so had to place a separate order for delivery. Then it took about 20 mins after my transaction for them to wrap up my necklace and give it to me. Great timing for a grand opening because it's holiday season and I definitely will be looking to check off some Xmas list items for some family and friends! read more

I first heard of this brand when my husband surprised me with gold earrings after I added new piercings. They were my favorite earrings- I wore them for a year straight! I wanted to get a letter necklace to remember a dear family member who had just passed, so I went in to see what they had. Very cute place butttt I felt that they could of had more options definitely. The guy who pierced my ears was super cool but I feel like for the price there should have been more/better customer service less rushed too. The whole actual pricing process was quick and painless it wasn't too bad you just pay for the jewelry (if it's available) overall around 300-400 bucks for the earrings... but I got mismatched ones because they only had one left of the one I actually wanted. It was super fun tho and I'm happy and excited about my new second piercings! Plus the area itself is nice to be around. She really supported me in making the right choice of ring size that was best for me! I love my rings and the service was great. Even the security guard Sal was super kind. We waited about 10 min in line on a Saturday afternoon (day after Black Friday). Julia the sales associate was sooo helpful and friendly in helping us navigate the crowds and show us pieces we were interested in. There were several ring stations with the same items so that everyone gets a chance to try it on. Poorly trained staff messed up my returns and did not care to rectify their mistake. I went in to return a gift I received from my friend. The staff mistakenly returned the funds BACK to my friend. They did not confirm where the funds would go before completing the process. After their mistake, the staff (both the cashier and the supervisor) were very dismissive about their mistake. They didn't offer an apology or a solution, they just said "oops, nothing we can do". The supervisor was so condescending and had the audacity to tell me that I NEED TO GO CONTACT MY FRIEND TO GET THE MONEY BACK. What kind of customer service is this?! **This review is for my experience at the piercing studio!** I had a really great experience through the entire process of booking to getting my ears pierced. I decided on a second lobe piercing and was able to get an appointment 2 days after I decided. I came in, selected my earrings, and went to the back with Modey. Modey was incredible, they explained everything about the entire process extremely thoroughly and you can tell how knowledgeable they are! They really know their stuff! They wore a mask and had plenty of measures to ensure it's all sterile and safe. They also have meticulous aftercare instructions that makes it so much easier to navigate taking care of my new piercings. I'm also relieved to know that I can DM them on IG if I have any questions about my new piercings. As far as the pain, it was really not that bad at all -- no worse than a booster shot. I have been coming here since they opened and not only is the customer service amazing in store, but also through their online service as well! I enjoyed getting my ears pierced here last fall, where the ear piercer was very kind and walked me through the process, all while keeping me calm and happy (as I have a fear of needles). They also explain the warranty for every item purchased (2 years) and ways to care for my jewelry. They have a good selection and are always stocked with their latest drops. This store has the worst customer service ever. we purchased a bracelet for a friend, and it had scratches on it. We didn't notice the scratches because it was already boxed and wrapped at the store. When we tried to return or exchange it for something else only 2 days after purchase a lady there name Meghan told us we can't do that, because it's used We had to escalate it to corporate. Pierced my ear yesterday with Eoin. He was masked, sterilized the jewelry, used gloves, sanitized and cleaned the ear before and after the piercing which I very much appreciated! I was very specific about the location of the piercing and he marked and remarked and remeasured the location to ensure I was happy with the location. He was very patient and understanding. He talked through the steps and discussed aftercare. I needed to move my appointment around and he graciously pushed his lunch break to a later time to accommodate. I'm very happy with my experience with Eoin at Mejuri Santana Row. This was the most painful purchase I've ever made at the San Jose mejuri store. I went to the store to get a birthday gift I received exchanged, the two items I wanted weren't in stock in store, the manager, Nicole, spent a full 30 minutes trying to process my credit and ship the two items to no avail because their "new system" was taking forever. Again, 30 minutes with me waiting for the purchase to go through! I had somewhere I needed to be so I just said I would take the credit and buy it myself online. She said "yeah that would easier, the credit will be on your account". So I left. An hour later when I tried to purchase my items, my account said it had "$0 credit"! I had to drive back to the store and let them know. The manager then came out looking upset that I'm bothering her on her break and did not even apologize for the massive inconvenience this has been for me. All she said was, "can you pull up your account?" Of course the internet was horrible at the store and I was not able to get the account accessed. Then on her end she did some work on the computer and said, "ok it should be there now". The internet finally worked and it finally showed up on my phone. I left, went to the car, tried to purchase my items and it said "credit will be applied at check out". I hit complete order, and the whole balance was applied to my credit card, none of the store credit was used! I called the store and again, no apology for all this time I'm wasting away, and she said she would reach out to the online people and they will send me a refund of my credit. So now I'm here, waiting to see if that will even happen! To top it off, my item cost $148 retail. The credit I received was $143. I told her, can I please get the discount that was used applied to my new purchase? She said there was no discount used. How does that even make any sense?! Then I said, okay, can I get a birthday discount, and she said "you only get that if you come in on your actual birthday". WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER. read more

Absolutely will not be shopping in this location anymore. I went in the store yesterday and first off I was not greeted by a single employee nor was anyone eager to help me in any way. I had to approach myself and even then the employees did not seem ti want to help me. They had a link out the door and were only letting in a certain number of people so don't you think they should be staffed enough to help everyone they are letting in? Second off, I had a necklace with a faulty clasp and I requested to get store credit over a replacement as I have had a few issues with clasps on Mejuri necklaces in general. The manager told me it was against company policy to provide me with store credit and when I showed her it was an option on the warranty claim form on the website she told me they would not give me store credit even if i requested it through the form and they would also insist I have to take a replacement. I decided to submit the form and guess what! They provided me with store credit. Shocker. Either she is lazy and did not want to go through the process to provide me credit or she doesn't know her own companies policy. Seriously could not recommend this place any less. I would recommend Gorjana 1000000x over, way better quality pieces and customer experience. read more

I came here excited to check out a physical Mejuri store, since I've only ever purchased Mejuri online. Upon entering, no one greeted us, despite there being only 1 other customer in the store and 3 sales associates. They did however, greet the person who came in a couple minutes after. I tried to write that off as coincidence, whatever. Still, as we kept browsing, no one said anything to us. The only words said to us was "would you like to see these (rings) in bigger sizes?" Which weirded me out since they didn't say anything else and they made us feel like we weren't welcomed in the store, annndd my partner is a bigger person so they felt even more unwelcomed. Later on we were looking at necklaces and another representative got right in my personal space next to me with no "pardon me/excuse me" to show another customer a necklace. At that point, I felt so bad about walking into the store, I left. I don't know what it was, but those working Wednesday night at the Santana Row location were definitely not the type of people I'd ever want to give my business to. I also no longer feel comfortable purchasing any Mejuri products moving forward. And if asked, I'll most likely recommend people order online or another business entirely since our store experience was so horrible. read more

Don't waste your effort stopping in. You can't even distinguish who an employee is vs a customer. They are literally all just chatting away with each other and playing on their phones (which is why I thought they were customers). They do not great you, or acknowledge you when you want to purchase an item. The service here is a joke and if do end up purchasing an item it takes them approximately 10 minutes to check you out with their archaic little checkout tablets.
