This review is mostly for Mark, their piercer. I had three wrist dermal piercing taken out by Mark last week. Nothing was wrong with them, I just had them for so long that it was time for me to move on. The three pictures are me having them, right after taking them out with the bandages, then went home and washed them which are healing extremely nicely. The lady who was also working The shop was super nice. I like her, but when I went in the week before when Mark wasn't there, the guy that was there was unwelcoming and made me feel stupid for coming in without making an appointment. I'll disregard the guy in the glasses, because luckily for him Mark and the other lady were amazing. I also was a ditz and forgot to tip Mark so I sent my husband to tip for me a week later. I made an appointment to get my left ear's cartilage pierced today at 4 PM. While reading reviews, they repeatedly stressed how important it was to show up to your appointment on time. With that, I got there around 3:45. Better safe than sorry! We were immediately greeted by a couple young girls and Mark. The crew was super friendly and we were able to be worked with within minutes of arriving. I explained to Mark what I wanted to get done. I wanted a stud in the mid cartilage area. After looking at my ear, he explained that a stud would not be possible because my ear curves in too much, meaning it would be hidden. With this, I went with a hoop. After filling out all the paperwork, Mark thoroughly (about 5 mins) cleaned his workspace which was comforting. I sat down and he explained the whole process to me. We picked out a hoop and a location on my ear. I laid down and he told me to take a deep breath and then exhale. On the count of 3, he pierced. The pain was not nearly as intense as I had imagined! I came here about a year ago to get my nose pierced, and have been delayed in posting a review but here it is! I made an appointment with Mark and made sure to get their on time as all the reviews on here suggested. He went over the procedure with my mom and I in detail, told us what to expect and took me back into the room. It was clean, sanitized, and I had no reason to worry cleanliness wise. He explained once again what to expect, and after a deep breath pierced my nose. It was a bit painful, but that was to be expected. I was diligent with aftercare, and didn't have any issues with keloids or any issues. I returned back after a couple of months to change my stud to a hoop, and he was easily able to change it out for a reasonable price. We had a great piercing experience with Mark. My teenage son wanted to get both his ears pierced, Mark had a great choice of suitable studs for a guy and had a selection all sterilized so he could easily choose. He took great care marking out the placement of the studs, checking it several times to make sure it was central and even on both sides. The piercing was quick and painless and all parts of the procedure and aftercare were explained well. When one of the piercings came out a couple of days later (our fault), Mark came into the shop , even though it was his day off, and put it back in for no charge. Amazing piercer! He is very knowledgeable and will tell you straight up if a piercing you want will not look good with your ear shape or will not fit you ear correctly. He basically gives a free consultation! He is proud of his work and will pierce something he isn't proud of. His angles are also really nice and not wonky. You can also bring in you're own jewelry but call ahead to check if it's the right type. Also you need to bring it in about 1 hour inadvanced so he can sterilize the piercing first. I couldn't come 1 hour before hand so I asked if I could drop the jewelry off in the morning and left him sterilize them when convenient. For my double outer helix and conch, I brought in an 18g titanium labret with internal threading and the post being longer than 1/4" / 6mm. Those were the requirements they said on the phone and it worked great. I used 3/8" / 10mm post to let my piercing breathe a lot which is working fine for me right now but he said I should come in about 2-3 months later so he can switch it out to a smaller post so it doesn't get caught in your hair or anything. Overall, amazing piercing 100% recommend! Don't go to Claire's!!! He uses a needle and it honestly doesn't hurt at all and I got 3 cartilage piercings at once for the first time getting anything other than ear lobe piercings. If you want your piercing done correctly, beautifully, and safely, this is the best place to go out of all the places I've gone. He does only use needles so he gave me instructions with my breathing, which I did mess up on so I felt the needle. It didn't hurt though! My friend and I both got studs, and in total WITH saline spray was ~$75: $30 for piercing, $25 (?) for jewelry, and $12 for saline spray and tax...i think there was tax. I came here to get my nose pierced with my friend who got his ears pierced and my roommate who came for moral support. Mark was exceptionally knowledgable and professional. He was really patient and reassuring when I expressed that I was a bit nervous. Instead of rushing through the procedure, he took the time to talk to me a bit, and, after learning that I'm a singer/violinist, told me about his own career as a successful musician. When the time came for the actual piercing, I felt like I was in really good hands. He talked me through the whole process so there were no surprises. It's been almost 4 months and I haven't had any problems with infection (knock on wood)! I won't go anywhere else for piercings from now on! I went here in late January to get an industrial and my friend got a rook. Mark was my piercer, and was really knowledgeable about tattoos and piercings. The piercing actually hurt less and is healing quicker than the cartilage piercing I got done at claire's many years ago. (I was younger and dumber.) I'll probably get my conch done here at a later date when I have more cash to waste.The industrial no longer hurts and doesn't have any discharge. It'll be another 7 months before I can swap the jewelry but so far so good! As an aside, someone hit my car right outside the shop before I got my piercing done. It's been three years since I got my first non-earlobe piercing here (nostril) and it's still the piercing with which I have the least trouble. While I was intimidated to go inside, Mark, the piercer, was gentle, straightforward, and very clearly was an expert in his trade, even if his sleeve tats and multiple gauges -- not to mention his height -- him intimidating to a 5'2" girl defying her parents wishes. My nostril piercing was barely felt, and when I came back a year later for a rook it was quick, well-practiced, and well-executed even if the placement meant there was a bit more pain. I was well-taken care of and most definitely got my money's worth. Now, after adding a tragus, conch, and naval piercing to the collection, the rook and nostril piercings are still the ones that have healed the best and had the fewest problems, and I keep thinking over and over again how much it pays to have someone who know what they're doing. read more

I bought a vaporizer here (my first real vape after using e-cigs for years) and I really loved it. The only problem was that it would leak e-juice. Sticky stuff all over the place! So I brought it back and one of the guys (I wish I had his name) spent around 30 minutes working with it to get it fixed. He gave his time all for free! The vape still leaks a tiny bit, but it's much much better and I can hold it horizontally without all of the juice leaking out. My vape is a Smok Stick V8 and it's the perfect combination of portability and power. I can fit it easily in my pocket but it still makes big clouds. The e-juice I got is the best. I went to Fatty Zone to get my ears pierced after reading these reviews on Yelp and it's pretty darn spot on. My piercing wasn't anything special, just the lobes, but I had heard mall-shop piercing horror stories from my friend because they (a place like Claire's) pierced her holes unsymmetrically. Unfortunately, she has been unhappy about them ever since, so the advice she gave me was to go to someone who knew what they were doing at a specialty shop. This brought me to Mark and I am SO happy that I did. He did a SPLENDID job of piercing and was very professional and super nice. Everything that he uses is sterilized and he ensures sterility throughout the piercing by changing gloves between handling different objects/tools. Mark told me about all the after-care procedures and gave me an informational card to help with remembering what to do. He was very clear and you can just tell he's done this so many times, but even still, he doesn't forget the details for newbie piercers like me :) Before you go, I'd recommend that you call ahead of time to get his hours since they can vary. I went in all excited one day, but he wasn't there so I had to come back. Mark requires part of the payment to be in cash, so be sure to visit an ATM before going. I just got my nose piercing done by Mark after reading the other Yelp reviews. I went in around 8 pm and there was absolutely NO wait, which was amazing and he was able to get me done right away! I asked him a bunch of questions, all which he answered well. He was able to calm my (small) fears and make sure that I felt comfortable since I have only gotten ear piercings before. Mark is super professional, honest, friendly and funny (everything you want in a piercing artist!). He walked me through the whole process and there was never a surprise throughout the process. You can tell that he has been doing this for a while. He sterilizes EVERYTHING - he is super clean and replaces his latex gloves frequently through the process. There was no doubt in my mind that my health was at risk. The piercing went really quickly and was painless - I was out of the piercing room in 15 minutes (most of the time we were talking or he was giving me tips on how to take care of my new piercing). He also informed me that if I have any questions or concerns or possibly get an infection that I could call or email him and he would help me out as soon as possible.
