They always have what we need for our pups and dogs provided with great and helpful service! Whenever we need shots for the puppies, or medical supplies (Penicillin & syringes) to treat our hunting dogs wounds, this is the closest feed shop to Mililani that we frequent the most. Hubby asks a lot of questions and we never leave confused or empty handed. They are located near Waialua Library & across the street from the Old sugar mill. The location reminds of an old country cowboy town when the dust blows across lol. You would question how these businesses are still open because it doesn't seem as if they get too many customers/traffic rolling through but they have all these years. As long as they are open, we'll continue to stop by for our furry friend needs. read more

To all the previous bad reviews, maybe have an understanding that they didn't want to be there at a time when a loved one was suffering serious health issues. I don't know where to begin..it's the only game in town..I had a stroke and this was the only place I could go to for the solid gold cat and dog food..after spending $300 a month consistently..I can no longer do it. For a little shop, they have a great selection. I read some reviews that were unimpressed by their natural dog/cat food, which is exactly what I purchase from them. They must have listened to what people wanted, which is one of the best qualities a business can have. I feed my dog Natural Balance after going through quite a few other brands. They also carry Accana, which I feed my cat, and I think is one of the best food on the market. Also available is Solid Gold, Orijin and a few other natural options, along with traditional kibbles and cans. He only hong I see missing that I wish I could get there for my dog would be US sourced and made jerky and treats. They do have a nice selection of chews, my dog loves their chicken feet and tracheas. This all goes without mentioning heir customer service is AWESOME! If my animals were starving and this was the last place on earth, I would kill a cow with my bare hands before going to this place. Rude, no customer service and outrageous prices. Five people behind the counter, Talking about dinner, a three year old girl, I assume someone's daughter playing with a roll of tape, taping herself to a box. She was far out of their sight and the roll had a sharp cutting edge. Also $21.00 for a small bag of cat litter? No thanks. The gouge locals because they are the only show in town. I've been shopping and supporting this business for years but have never been treated so RUDELY as I was today. Literally thousands I, and my horse clients, spend at this place with their inflated prices and literally at least half the time they don't have what I need in stock. I went out of my way to support them so many times when it would've been way easier to order online and get things cheaper. By the way, everything is cheaper somewhere else than at this place. When I brought this to their attention I was told "keep your rude comments to yourself" after I asked an employee on the phone to make sure that my order got processed because, surprise surprise, they didn't have it in stock and I've had bad experiences before waiting for a product that I needed (and placed on hold and they sold it to someone else). Owner blamed COVID For items being out of stock but This has been a problem for years. It's not rude If you forget my order For 6 months? Not rude when employees/owner don't take responsibility for Delivering messages? When the store is so disorganized and messy that you can't find anything and then roll your eyes when I ask? I had THE BEST experience at The Feed Trough today! I walked in, never having been there before, and felt awesome when I left. I had brought my dog in with me, who is used to being dragged all the island on my random adventures. They offered him a treat, which I declined as he dislikes milk bones, but opened a treat that he enjoyed: fish and sweet potatoes. He LOVED it. Never mind that I had stopped by for my horse in the first place. After spoiling my dog, and looking after their shop cat which they made sure didn't attack my dog, they even carried all my purchases out to my truck for me. They were respectful enough to stop to their normal conversation, which was appreciated, to make sure I was taken care of. I even bought a bag of the treat they offered my dog! 100 percent quality customer service! Great jobs moms and dads and bosses! I will be back again (with my dog). Very friendly employees. Went there to find a halter for my future horse. Took me a whole 5 minutes at most to go in, find the section, look at the selection, pick one out, and pay for it. Will definitely be going back for any other supplies I need to obtain. read more
