    The Bomber burger with salad.
    Deb F.

Was craving a burger and searched for a place we hadn't been to before and discovered this hidden gem! Tucked into an unassuming strip mall, Fireside Grill is a 21-only bar that makes a fantastic burger! I got a "Bomber" which has Gorgonzola and grilled onions. So good! You can get a 1/4lb or 1/2lb burger. Service was awesome. Our server was friendly and the kitchen cooked those burgers up super quick. The "fire" is on a TV screen and the place is a bit divey in its decor but it's clean and well-kept and I'll be back for more!

Pros: Neat and clean dining area. Food was good and portion size was good. Good service. Cons: A bit pricey.

Stopped in while the kiddo was at a bday party. No minors Nice little bar. Has outside seating - maybe, no chairs were up but they were stacked- Staff is friendly. Food was so good! They make their own chips, sweet potato and Yukon. They are hands down the best I have ever had! They offer GF bread for the sandwiches. They had a good drink menu too

Higher gem...Located inside a strip mall but absolutely a diamond in the rough!!! Very unassuming spot with basic dive bar vibes but amazing friendly staff and delicious food!!! Highly recommend the burgers and especially the bid in pork chop!!! Don't sleep on the heavy handed cocktails!

The Shorty Burger, pork chop, & tomato basil soup

Flew back into town super late and was searching for a restaurant that was still open... Found this hidden gem that was open until 1AM! We tried the shorty burger, pork chop & tomato basil soup. I can confidently say that this was the best pork chop that I've ever had. Soft & cooked to perfection paired with sautéed vegetables & potatoes. Incredible dish! My husband enjoyed his burger that was paired with chips and a delicious dipping sauce. The tomato basil soup was delicious as well! The server was super friendly and attentive. Overall, I'm so glad to have found this spot. Definitely am looking forward to our next visit!

    Little The Bourbon Burger

I have heard about these burgers for a while now. Finally got a chance to try it. I was out with my brother in law and we chose this for fourth meal. I got the small bourbon burger. Very tasty toppings super messy. Stuff kind of has one note. I wasn't too impressed. He got the fireside burger and was kind enough to share. It's a yummy one of those everything on it burger. However we see the sauce. I assumed it was horseradish or something so I wanted no part of it. But a little taste reveals this is cheese sauce. Whoa. This makes is burger next level. Even more of a mess than the bourbon but now it has everything with the cheese sauce. Definitely a top burger in the area. The chips are fun. I think I preferred the regular to the sweet potato. Some of them got burned and it was a little bitter.

[Format & Space] Seat yourself*, review the menus at the table, order at the bar, they bring your food and drinks to your table. *Plenty of tables, some with long benches, others with chairs on the inside. There's also a large patio. This is a welcome and safe space. [Drinks] Right up front, I'm going to tell you I'm a lightweight. I'm allergic to alcohol, so I don't drink often. Here's one of the things I love about The 649. They have a fantastic selection of mocktails that are created with the same creativity, flair, and intention as a "leaded" cocktail. I appreciate that I get to participate and not be stuck with a lemonade, zero alcohol beer, or wine. So, HUZZAH for creating an inviting space for a non-drinker! There *are* times when I'm willing to risk the lobster-bod, itchiness, and stuffy nose and there are plenty of cocktails from which to choose! [Food] There's a nice selection of sharable plates and mains. I've personally tried the flatbread pizza, Bavarian pretzel, Cubano, and Brisket Press, all of which were delish. [Service] The service has always been fabulous. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. [Activities] There are a few TVs around the bar with sports. It was a great place to catch some of the World Cup games. Additionally, there are several games that you can borrow and play, which is a lot of fun. [Location] Tucked in a busy shopping center with Safeway as an anchor. Parking hasn't been super problematic yet, but based on one of the other reviewers (Ron R - loved your formatting too, so I borrowed it until we get rich text formatting or emojis!) I can see where it could be a challenge.

Because it's somewhat hidden in the corner of a Safeway shopping plaza. Look for the Baskin Robbins or Wells Fargo ATM and your find it. Like other reviews, when busy, parking can be a bit horrendous. But in hindsight, I'm not gonna reduce a star just because of location. * Bar Food Menu & Dining * Their menu starts with shareable bites, like a pretzel, tacos, quesadilla, loaded nachos, and even a charcuterie plate. Slightly larger dishes would be their Cubano and Brisket Press sandwiches. They even have a few choices for soup and salads, and a couple of dessert items listed. Don't forget to check the chalkboard next to the bar for specialty dishes and drinks. As for dining-in, they've got sturdy wooden tables that can accommodate 4-8 people. Bar stools by the windows, and a fairly large outside patio area. And with the times I've been here, I've never seen a dirty table. Very well maintained (two thumbs up). A few TV monitors showing the game, but its not like a noisy sportsbar. * Drinks & Services* You've got your choice of craft beers that rotate like a standard tap room. They also have tasty seasonal cocktails, but their normal everyday cocktails are just as good. And if you're gonna have a charcuterie board, then you've got to offer a wine list option right? Well they got that too! One last thing to mention, they've got some top-shelf bourbon and whiskey. The 649 is a bar that offers it all! Service has also been welcoming and top-notch. I recall only been served by Rich, Steven, and Crystal, but they always seem to craft up some lovely cocktails. Or deliver some clean tasting everyday type of bar food as well. * Last Call * Normally in my reviews, I'd list every item that I've tried, with price included. But The 649 is such a unique type of bar experience that I feel you should try for yourself; To me, their offerings are reasonably priced. Dining in is nothing fancy, but service is excellent. It's a great hangout for a business date, of even after a first date. I've got nothing but love for local support!

We started out with Turkish coffees and Iraqi Tea. The presentation was beautiful and the complex flavors were so nice to wake our taste buds. We ordered the Beef Mix, Lamb and Eggs, Pastry #2 (hot dog, mushroom, cheese), baclava, and their special halawa to try. They were cooking right by the counter so the whole space filled with delicious aromas while we were waiting for our food. We all had full bellies between 3 adults and 2 kids and took home leftovers! You MUST get the Beef Mix! I don't even know how to describe how delicious this dish is to give it justice but it was definitely the group favorite. It came with salad and yummy boat shaped bread to scoop up all the flavorful goodness. Their house hot sauce took it to the next level. Absolutely lunch was a wonderful change of culinary pace that I am excited to try again soon. This restaurant was recommended to me by some friends I hold as having excellent taste. All they mentioned was French inspired or French fusion, and knowing I haven't been to many of those my wife and I went here without looking at the menu. Looking at the menu, I'll tell you that it was not what I expected so much so that I forgot to take pictures of it because I spent all my time trying to decide what I wanted. I think not looking anything up was probably the best decision I could've made because that led to us choosing some dishes that I think we normally wouldn't have ordered. We tried to steam cheeseburgers, the steak, tartar, garlic, fries, foie gras dumplings, and gnocchi. Also got some specialty drinks. Service was amazing, if I was really nice, did not take too much time at all to get food, and the food itself was special. (Specials is the best word I can use to describe discovering new flavors, my age ) Two thumbs up, will be coming back again, and excited to try everything on the menu! Also, note that they do have some parking in the front of the building so if you're going for lunch, try there first instead of worrying about parking blocks away.
