This was sooooo close to being a 5 star review and I really wanted to give it and when I say why it wasn't, I'm sure many will roll their eyes... however, I must rate what I feel my experience deserved. We came on Fathers Day but not to celebrate Fathers Day so I was pleasantly surprised when there was not a wait to be seated. Our waitress was extremely friendly and even though it seemed she had so many tables, she still gave us plenty of attention. I ordered the corned beef hash but was quickly told it had been sold out so I ended up ordering the Apple Butter Benedict. We also ordered the wings and the house chips. To drink, a coffee and a Bloody Mary. I'll start with the good the house chips were phenomenal. Crunchy and tasty, not a huge fan of the Gorgonzola sauce served with it but I just ate it without. The wings were also pretty tasty and spicy. The Buffalo sauce was great and didn't taste like anything store bought. Now to the bad and the reason why I gave this review 2 stars. What is the most important part of a Benny? The poached egg. And egg that does not run, is an absolute SIN on a benny. My egg was medium boiled! I ended up removing the yolk completely and ate the dish without it. It still tasted good but it was certainly missing something huge. Another negative of the dish were the potatoes. Potatoes were a bit soggy and lacked a bite or crunch like typical breakfast potatoes have. Lastly the Bloody Mary was really watery and was nearly 3/4 of the cup was just ice. Not sure if I would want to come back here again But, if the corned beef was that good that it sold out... it may be worth another visit. read more

Came in with a group of 7 tonight! Guy who greeted us said he "wasn't comfortable serving us" because 2 of us had older IDs (we were all 23 and 24). We were respectful and left but sent 2 people in to get his name to inform his boss in the morning. He refused to tell us. The place is located in a corner of a strip mall and has the ambiance of a bar, with plenty of seating indoors as well as a covered outdoor area with a fire station nearby. They provide a QR code for their alcohol selection, though it's not for placing orders. The servers are very hospitable and take orders promptly. I enjoyed our hummus appetizer and my dinner, but my partner wasn't satisfied with his blackjack burger due to the disappointing of flavor of the sauce (lacking favor). I've been wanting to eat here for some time and I'm so glad we finally tried it! We got the mac as well as a burger and those chips are to die for! Docking off a star because it was super loud, cold & I got overstimulated very easily. My partner and I didn't speak to each other really at all because both of us couldn't really hear each other. I really dislike how the tables were set up and where we were seated. Maybe if we were seated somewhere else it would've been a better experience. Love, love, love the Fireside Grill! This is one of my favorite places to visit for lunch, dinner or weekend brunch. The food is always fresh and delicious! There are several vegetarian options and almost everything is house made from scratch. Service is always outstanding! We are greeted upon entering and told to sit wherever we like. Food and drinks are brought out quickly. At lunch and brunch we are usually served by Kendra, who does a fabulous job! The other servers are also excellent. In fact, everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. The entire staff is awesome. There is a full bar and the drinks are always great. Since this is a pub, no one under 21 is allowed at any time. That includes infants. There are booths and tables inside plus a covered, heated outdoor patio that also has a fire pit. The ambience is cozy, comfortable and intimate. There is a parking lot out front and bus 76 stops right outside. I highly recommend the Fireside Grill for fantastic food, terrific service and great atmosphere! read more

We had such high hopes for this place. However, everyone in our party of 6 was really disappointed with the food we had, and it was unanimous that we all definitely won't be back to the Fireside Grill! The portions on all the meals served were teeny, and way overpriced for what you get, including the sandwiches, hamburgers, the steak salad, the cob salad, and pasta dishes. As an example, the reuben was a teeny portion (less than 1/4 cup) of chopped up meat and hardly any thousand island dressing and about two small, bland string pieces of sauerkraut. The Tacos were super spicy hot - too hot to eat and the two corn tortillas were dripping with grease. The tacos consisted of just ground beef with tons of spicy powdered taco seasoning mix, and two small slices of fresh limes. Nothing else, no lettuce, tomatoes, cheese - nothing! The overall consensus based on our experience is that this place is overpriced, has poor quality food, small portions all topped off by inattentive serving staff. Once our server dropped off our food, he disappeared. We finally had to walk up to the bar to ask for our bill. read more

Best known secret, food is good, and drinks are great but the service is fantastic! Came for the brunch, stayed for the service. At first it was a one woman show and she was working her hardest. But $4 mimosas and some pub breakfast close to home is always a good find. It looks like a hole in the wall, but there are a handful of comfortable booths, some tables both indoor and outdoor with a covered patio and heaters or the bar if you choose. There are a few tv's and no rush. They say you can judge the cleanliness of the kitchen by the bathroom, and these bathrooms were kept nicely clean. Looks may be deceiving but the company they keep build the atmosphere. The lighting is on the dark side but to be expected of a pub. *NO MINORS AT ANY TIME* they hate to have to turn you away but even infants cannot accompany parents to brunch here. This was our second attempt to eat here. The previous wknd we were CRAVING a hamburger. we called to do a take out order and they were not taking take out orders over the phone. The pita bread was soft and had a good char to it. It comes with pickles onions, cucumber, and cherry tomatoes. The humus is made fresh. Perfect amount of garlic to it. Highly recommend. I ordered the bourbon whisky burger. It was perfectly cooked medium rare. A big messy burger that runs down your hands! I ordered it with their house made potato chips which were on point! My friend ordered the beefeater sandwich. Toasted bread, a good amount of beef, cheese, and mushrooms. It was very very good. We thought it could have used more mushrooms. Fireside is one of my go-to places in Beaverton. Great drinks, great food and wonderful service. You get the feeling of a local restaurant/bar, but high quality food. I've tried many items on the menu and am never disappointed. My wife loves all of the soups as well. They have a large outdoor patio area that is primarily covered which is great for the warmer months. Our only disappointment is that it's 21+ only.
