If I could give this place a negative star I would. I wanted to feel like I was in paradise but it was the vacation from hell, I paid for the room and taxes in advance on an app but when I got there they asked me for a deposit which took my side money away (side note just to let you know it's not for the room or property in it, it's to charge you for cleaning and to make you add drinks and food to your room) I locked into it and couldn't get out of it. They need help cooking the menu limited it's like dennys has more options then them. The garnishes they put on my desserts or and even the main dishes, people expect good food, if your going to charge top dollar , Then everyone expects a tip it's no one gets paid to just do there job, someone brings you a towel tip, someone recommends you places to go tip, in my opinion bring pesos and don't be flashy if you want a good vacation these people are vultures. If you speak Spanish or you have someone in your party who does have them speak, if you say America or the us they think we're driving Bentleys and having dom perignon .They tell you they can't get you a ride back to the airport for free, they have taxis that will charge you and arm and a leg. When they put your money on a deposit they will charge you for cleaning the room every day , I was there for 7 days. This was not part of the taxes or the resort fees and then they try to get you to do a timeshare with them, there pictures have filters for the ocean it looks like Oceanside , ca over there. My suggestion to you if you wanna be all out in the middle of no where you'll be ok but you gotta pay additional 1000 usd for a ocean view room and there restaurants were not all open they have three and the roof top was always closed the Italian was like eating a washed up version of Olive Garden and it's not always open either , the cafe slash restaurant was over priced, they branded it with one of bob marleys sons but the coffee sucks it's as basic as 7/11 if you buy a lobster there going to say it's market value so your looking at least 100 usd just for the lobster, I've gone to rosarito and got it for cheaper, so unless the Atlantic is more expensive then the pacific there scamming tourists sadly. So save your money and just eat outside of the hotel and only talk to them when needed and if you can put the don't disturb sign on ur door you won't get charged for cleaning although I had only requested clean towels. And other times they just walked in because you can't lock them out entirely to have privacy, like normal hotels. I was in bed and heard a noise on one occasion. They need to be upfront about everything and need to have a flat rate not tact on and trap you to eat there. My room walls were scratched and dirty the furniture was stained to top it all off. read more
