I usually don't leave reviews, but my experience with The Fix Columbia was so terrible that I feel like people need to know. I originally sent my MacBook Pro in because the screen wouldn't open. They fixed that part, but the moment I got my laptop back, a new problem started something it NEVER had before. My screen now looks completely messed up, with a giant pink vertical stripe, glitchy lines, and overheating issues. I've attached a photo so people can see what I'm dealing with. I already spent $370, and when I brought it back to them, they refused to take any responsibility. They kept insisting it wasn't their mistake, even though the issue only happened after their repair. Then they had the nerve to tell me I'd have to pay another $200 to fix this their "fix" created a whole new problem, and they're still denying it. To make things even worse, I kept calling them to get answers, and they were literally dodging my calls. They wouldn't answer, wouldn't call back, and acted like avoiding me would make the problem go away. This entire experience was dismissive, unprofessional, and honestly really disappointing. If you care about your device and your money, PLEASE avoid The Fix Columbia. I wish I had gone somewhere else now I'm stuck with a laptop that looks like this after trusting them. read more

07/12/24 I took my phone, a Samsung Zfold3, to be fixed because I wasn't able to access it due to the screen. This included the camera not working. I went to the store around noon and talked with the technician. He informed me that it would be $250 or more plus taxes. I asked him if that would fix all of the problems of telephone access and camera to which he said "yes". I paid the $250 plus tax and he said he would call me the next day before 3pm to come back and pick it up. The next day I waited for the call until after 4pm and since I didn't receive a call, I went back to the store. An assistant informed me that my phone was ready. I tried using the phone in front of them and I told them that the camera wasn't working but that access to the main operating system was working fine. However, that was the front screen. Access to the phone or any other function on the foldable screen was not working. Another lady working there was very rude and said "your phone is already fixed". I showed her that the camera was still not working. She stated that for the camera to work, that would be an additional cost. I let her know that I paid for everything to work and she said, no, that the camera was not included. I informed her that I wanted to talk to the technician that previously took my order but she was on the phone and said if I wanted the camera to work, I would have to pay extra. She also said that I should understand that after 12pm the technician is usually very exhausted and makes promises to fix things that he can't and that we (customers) should understand. It's not my fault that he's tired and exhausted and because of that, they make promises which they can't keep. This store lies to customers to get the jobs and then don't fully deliver the service they said they can. When I called them liars, the lady got upset, said that's "how they work", and threw me out of the store. The service there is terrible. I took my phone to get it fixed and paid for a service they didn't complete. They weren't responsive to their customer and threw me out of the store. I had to pay another location to have the phone fixed... These people are not trained in customer service, they're liars, and rude. They provide false service promises and don't deliver. Other potential customers should ensure to get a receipt or a service order which clearly dictates what they will and will not cover or fix because apparently, after 12pm, they're too exhausted to work and their brains fail on what they said they will do for customers. Potential customers should also take a witness with them since they claim a different opinion and I ended up in a "He said, she said" scenario. This business should be forced to close by the mall administration. read more

CHEAP PRODUCTS! Go elsewhere. Took my daughter's phone to be repaired. She needed a new screen and I also purchased a screen protector; I spent $100. They fixed it within 15 minutes. Before we left the employee said the screen protector would break before the screen did. NOT TRUE! My daughter dropped her phone and the screen immediately cracked under the screen protector and it's now lifting off of the frame. Called them to see if they could repair it and they told me they could but that I'd have to pay AGAIN!! There's no way in hell I'm paying another $100 for trash products!! I needed a major fix of an iPhone Xs Max. They replaced front and back glass and battery. I brought it in and it was done in two hours and looks and functions like new. The Apple store would not touch it but wanted to up sell to a newer but lower model. We are happy n that Eric at the Fix saved us and have us good advice. read more

Thomas was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and patient with me as I explained the issue with my phone. Not only did he fix it, but since it didn't require any replacement parts, he didn't charge me, not even for the labor. I had an off-brand phone that many techs at other places refused to touch, but Thomas didn't hesitate. The flex cord connecting the charge port to the battery was loose and he knew exactly how to secure it into place. Went to get screen fixed they fixed the screen and put a screen protector on but took out my sim card and Loosen the volume button to were it pops out and sometimes falls out went back the next day and had to get a new sim card from my phone Supplier and had to leave out of state for a could days and had a 30 days Warranty and would get it fixed when back in town well so I took a spare phone left the broken one home got back and went to fix it and they say Warranty doesn't apply if you break it but I didn't witch they said I couldn't of done the Volume button and I piont out that I broke the screen Protector because I saw that the phone was cracked in the corner very slightly they Took the protector off and also proved that I couldn't of cracked the screen but still Denied me my thirty day warranty Security guard in the mall also understood and told us to file a complaint And said that businesses had multiple problems in the past THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN THE columbia mall read more

My replacement screen caused a glitch where the bottom of my screen flickers, I tried every method online to fix it and nothing helped, which pretty much confirms that it's the screen which caused the problem. The person who "fixed" my iPhone didn't replace the screen properly either, half of it was sticking up and I couldn't push it down. Also the waterproofing adhesive wasn't cleaned up well, it even got all over my sim card somehow. The worst thing is that I bought a screwdriver kit to open my phone to try and resolve the problem myself and I found an entire part was missing! It was the shield that protects the connection for the screen (on the top right side), which is probably why my screen was glitching... the screws were missing too. They also lied about the price of the replacement. I asked beforehand and they said 75$, after I had left and checked my receipt I realized they charged me 80$. After 30 days this phone screen will start to not work. (The guy told me I could bring the screen back before 30 days). 1. The iPhone X phone screen from The Fix is very different from Apple's (thicker black rim slightly causing your phone to look bootleg--I planned to eventually sell my unlocked iPhone so this was important to me). 2. The Fix screen started to not work after the 30 days in the middle of the screen near my keyboard so I couldn't type anything or use that part of my screen. I got the phone fixed Dec. 28th, it a started to really not work at the end of February. I just got my phone fixed AGAIN by Apple on Feb. 23rd. Should have just gotten a legit screen in the first place from Apple. Wouldn't recommend. I'm sure The Fix is fine for other screens that are not iPhone X, who knows. I've had other iPhone screens fixed in the past at mall shops before and never had an issue so I figured it'd be fine but no. Total cost for my phone was $200 to The Fix, $40 screen protector from Verizon, THEN about $300 to Apple for a NEW screen and another $40 for a NEW screen protector. Might as well had bought a new iPhone if I knew The Fix's screen wouldn't work after the 30 days considering how much I've put into this phone now. Very friendly people working there though! They installed a screen protector and the next day it began to peel up due to a fingerprint from the guy at the shop. They refused to replace it and install a new one. The protector was also crooked. Never again, never again. read more
