I had been meaning to give this place a shot for a long time! This place is a great option for lunch or take out. I got the Works bowl with chicken and beef and the meat was pretty flavorful. I added green onions and had brown rice instead of white. I especially appreciated the friendly and fast service. My order was ready in less than 5 minutes to go. Make sure to take some "magic sauce" and hot sauce. The magic sauce is similar to teriyaki and goes great with the bowls. This place doesn't even deserve one star the initial delivery was totally wrong. I ordered 2 reg. Chicken bowls and 1 combo bowl both with brown rice and green onions on top with xtr sauce. When I received the delivery it was all wrong!!!! First there were only 2 bowls not 3 the one bowl was 1/2 beef and tofu. The other one was beef with veggies only. When my husband called flame broiler they argued about the order. My husband ended up going to the store in Chatsworth where they had the 3rd bowl just sitting there for who knows how long. Plus they were not going to do anything to solve the problem the manager was a dick. We had to call doordash to ask for assistance on the matter. Doordash was good enough to give us a $10 credit on our next order. We will never order from this store again and you should not either. They have a hundred flame boilers all over go somewhere else. read more

We have a Flame Broiler close to our house and it's been very consistent. If we are having a crazy day and need something quick but don't want drive thru this is our stop. You always know what your going to get, they have a limited menu but it's just enough. Kids get the kids beef bowl with extra sauce on the side and there are no complaints from them. The staff are usually nice. But the two times I've come, the restaurant looks dirty and the food is always burnt. From the beginning I was hesitant to come here even though I'd only heard good things about this place. The service was good. It's very easy to order and you get your food pretty quickly. It's not an extensive menu and I only spent $8 which is good because the food was a huge disappointment. I got a regular size bowl with rice, vegetables, chicken, and beef. The vegetables did not seem to be steamed long enough, the chicken had no flavor and wasn't the slightest bit appetizing. The beef was the best part but definitely not enough to change my opinion of this place. The food does not come already prepared with sauce. There are 4 different options for sauce (teriyaki, hot sauce, etc.). It's the same type of dispenser you'd find for ketchup at McDonald's. I understand mistakes happen but he didn't explain what was going on at all as im standing there confused at the situation. At no point did he apologize or make the situation less annoying. Nothing special here - I purchased a plate with mix of chicken and steak with rice, vegetables and a side of fruit and a salad. My wife ordered a bowl with chicken veggies and rice. My plate was $13 I think her bowl was $9 can't recall. Either way I was ripped off something proper. There simply wasn't enough meat for what I paid. And the side of fruit? It was half of an orange! That's it... that was my side of fruit. That salad I mentioned earlier? Yea it was about 1oz of shredded cabbage with a cup of dressing...wtf? Safe to say I'm not coming back unless the prices match the food. You may be asking why 3 stars? Well customer service was great and that goes a long way! I've been to Flame Broiler in a bunch of places and they are extremely consistent with the flavor from the Central Valley to the South Central Los Angeles. This one fits the bill. I had a craving for a bowl - the chicken veggie bowl - and it hit the spot as always. Things here are fairly salty as is so if you want a truly healthy meal, axe the sauces...including the magic sauce which is a syruppy black sugary Teri sauce that isn't that great anyway. If you must condiment, throw in some jalapeños. As you can see from my pix, I have broken this rule tonight. I love the skinless chicken and brown rice is always pretty moist and flavorful. Contrary to what people say, it's waaaayyyyy better than Yoshinoya. Anyway, my only complaint is that the bathrooms at Flame Broilers are way too close to the kitchen and also almost always out of order...yeck, I need to wash my hands before I eat, at least place some hand sanitizer nearby! Anyway, I give this place 3 stars though as they really skimp on the meat here compared to other flame broilers :( read more

They often have a lunch value meal here. They have four sauce options -- magic, hot, hot hot and triple hot. A small bowl with a protein and rice is surprisingly quite filling and delicious. I came here when it initially opened years ago! It was really yummy and very comparable to waba grill! I didn't know why I stopped coming until my recent experience! Thanks for the reminder.... the place was not clean and basically none of the sodas on the fountain were working! And then when it was tested, the fountain squirt all over me!!! To top it off, I waited 14 minutes for a mediocre bowl that had the ugliest looking carrots... you can tell the veggies were not fresh at all... to top it off, the cooks were eating the food they were cooking, no wonder it took a long time! The spicy sauces are heavily watered down as opposed to the real sriracha sauce they had when they had barely opened... I'm thinking change in ownership?? Why would you advertise 2 chicken bowls for $11.99 in big bold banner at the front of your store and then not honor it?? We went in to get the deal and when we approached the cashier to order, she says it's only for Tuesday and points us to the back of the register in a small chalkboard written that same deal but only for Tuesday. I went out to check the banner again and nowhere did it say a specific day. They did not honor it. Very disappointed and it's a scam. If I could give no stars I would. I've ordered from here quite a few times. I've been able to pay over the phone and order and pick it up. The girl told me I couldn't pay over the phone. Ok that's fine. She was very nice and pleasant. Now I go to pay and pick up my food. I see the cook has his mask on but with his nose and half his mouth sticking out. It is so loose. He was talking to the girl behind the counter as he's making my bowl. I was in shock and pay. I should have just left. I couldn't stop looking at how his face was exposed so whatever droplets come out while he's talking is going in the food. I got home and threw away my bowl. There's $10 down the drain for nothing.
