The service department is terrible. They treat you like a number. I only go there, compared to my local garage, because of a couple recall notices that I thought I 'd combine with a servicing. You get stuck on hold for 10 minutes just to make an appointment. When you get there, they ignore you, then rush you with unclear jargon. After I picked up my car, I had a question and called the service manager back, but he never returned my call. Go somewhere else if you can. read more

Horrible service. Waited over 30 minutes at Bart to be picked up by shuttle. Had to Uber and when I arrived, my electric wasn't fully charged even though I specifically ask for a fully charge to get home. Their excuse: a car was blocking the charger. Probably one of the worst experiences I've had getting my car serviced. A complete waste of money and they take no responsibility what so ever. ZERO STARS I had an malfunction in my Ford Fusion and my car wasn't drivable. I brought my car in and my account advisor, Billy, was initially responsive and told me they'd get it out in a day or two. 2 days past and I have to call them to see what's going on. Billy tells me more tests need to be run, which means more money. He then informs me he's going on vacation the next week and he'll have another advisor take over while he's gone. My car is now there for 4 days. I call again to get an update, asking who my new advisor is. They clearly had no idea and told me they would call me back. No call. This happened 3 times until I was put on the phone with Philip who told me they'd talk to the technician and call me back at 8am the next morning. Once again, no call. I call them at 10:30am and they tell me Philip has been in a meeting, that's why he didn't call me. A 2 1/2 hour meeting?! Obvious bullshit. I have to call AGAIN at 1pm. STILL Philip is nowhere to be found. I get a call at 3pm with no progress made. My car has now been in there for a week with no progress made and multiple diagnostic tests being done and the price is piling up. Billy is back from vacation and 2 days after he returns they find the problem. Strange that right when Billy returns the technician figures the problem out.... so $1500 later it was a bolt that needed to be tightened for ground wire under my battery... Seems like a trivial problem for ford "experts" at a dealership. To sum it up, they waste your money, don't care about their customers, worst communication I've ever experienced, and have continued to decline as a dealership as a whole over the years, as their low rating shows. read more

This is by far the worst place i've been coming for oil leakage that my new car got. Took it here to get it fix mine you that this is an inconvenience bring it and they tell me its going to take a few days, i say ok am i getting rental nope is their answer i said to the adviser jose martinez that is no help and to call me once they have found the issues and how long in reqlity is going to take. Never got a call or voice message i called him twice no response call the office clerk leave a message no response till i finally got upset and called clerk for him to call me and he does at third day of trying, now he tell me its going to be done in a day or day a half so i wait the day call him no response again so i stop by and guy is not with a customer or busy and sees me and says he was just about to call me uh huh. Anyways i ask him why he was going to call me for and he says there was a problem putting the car part together and messed up on timing and motor is done and they might have to fix or replace and i say replace no matter what and so then he finally gives me a rental and then says i have to pay for deposit and for insurance coverage i am why would i have to pay for anything its almost a month now still havent got my car. All i am saying is dont count on this place to take care of you even when is their fault. read more

They have the best service and extremely logical employees who can take care if you. If your appointment is at 10 AM and you show up at 9:50AM, you should wait until your turn if there are people with appointments at 10:15AM and 10:30AM because they SHOWED up before you. I was afraid to leave my car for service because I felt so incompetent due to my logical skills. Ford Service Center at Sunnyvale is more geared towards the level of my intelligence levels and I always had good experience since last 3 years. I am going back there. read more

I always go to ford for an oil change and it's been fine. Until just a couple of weeks ago I went in to get an oil change that took 3 hours long. The guy said 2 hours and I said fine I would leave the car because I really needed it to get done but after two hours I asked him when it would be done and he said they were going to start working on it. It was pretty ridiculous that it took 3 hours for an oil change. I understand they were busy but maybe they need to hire more people instead of having customers wait for ridiculous amounts of time when it's something so simple. I went to the Ford Store to look at a car my husband found, 2007 Lincoln fully loaded. I had my sites set on a brand new Hyundai and was not going to change my mind. My husband sent me to the San Leandro Ford Service Center to take advantage of a great deal on a diesel oil change. The "check engine" light was also on on our F250 Super Duty so we asked for a diagnosis. The original time in the shop took a bit longer than expected (10 days) to do the diagnosis, oil change, and fix the two codes that came up. Unfortunately, when I picked the truck up the first time, another message appeared: "water in fuel". I had to take the truck back the same day I picked it up (luckily the light came on before I had gotten all the way home). The next morning we got the unfortunate call that another part needed to be changed. Since the part was working when we brought it in and it stopped working while in their care, they didn't charge us any labor. I picked the truck back up (the 11th day) and made it all the way home. When my husband returned home from work, we decided to take the truck for a drive. Much to our surprise, the light came on again with the same message: "water in fuel". We were less than happy, as anyone in our situation would be. We drove it home and had to wait a day (it was a Saturday evening) to bring it in. Afraid to drive the truck, we called a tow and my husband took it in. They had the truck for 3 days, but were finally able to fix the problem. Although this was a huge inconvenience and headache, we are happy with the service we received from the San Leandro Ford Service Center. We are especially happy with the continued patience and care from our service advisor Gary Gaddini. read more

The quotes given by the employees here by phone do not match the car that I was promised. The quotes for cars are also a few thousand dollars more expensive and they roll their eyes or make condescending remarks when you ask why it's so expensive. For example, the sales person told us that if we wanted to haggle, he didn't have time for it even though a group of the sales guys were outside drinking Starbucks. He also requested for some guy who spoke Mandarin to speak to us instead because "we spoke the same language." We speak Cantonese. In short, I'd avoid getting a car here because they will charge you a few thousand more than other dealers, they're scammers, they will talk to you like an idiot. I see 5 stars on this location. I bet it's not for the service department. I been here and I have to say. I am very very disappointed with the service team and service writers from this ford dealership. I have taken my cars here in a few times and the communication from the service writers are very lacking. ( being a bit nice). Don't want to use profanity on here. Let's just say I will not recommend why worst worst enemy to come here to do business. It didn't matter if it was warranty work or I am paying it out of pocket. The service side needs a major overhaul. They need to hire more people to be on top of things. This will be my last time I take my 2 vehicles here for service. Your treated nicely when you buy a car but please be warned when you need service on it. Better take it somewhere else. They are over priced and they lack communication skills and quality of service is a hit and miss. I took my car in as my Climate Controlled Seats had suddenly stopped working. They took my car and called me back a couple hours later saying they can't check my car as I had a different gauge put in and it wasn't factory. I was still charged $200. My car is under warranty as the gauge has nothing to do with the seats. They told me that the warranty company denied paying for the cost. I called the warranty company and was told they never received a claim from San Leandro Ford. Keep in mind they did nothing. I don't recommend going here. Tried speaking to the manager Wahid after numerous emails and phone calls, it has been a month now and have still yet to speak to the manager or receive a response. Go somewhere else!!! I was nervous about buying my first new car and being pressured into something that I wasn't 100% sure about or in love with. But the people here were great! I never once felt the pressure that is always rumored to happen at dealerships. I told them what I was willing to spend and what I wanted and needed in a vehicle. Hash and Iris worked to find the exact car I wanted, color I liked, rebates and discounts without me even asking, AND they even helped me with an outside spot to get the rims I wanted! I wouldn't give this place the ONE star I had to give to write this review. My husband purchased a 2016 Ford Fusion from this place in March. The purchase went by smooth the sales man Sinbad seemed as if he knew what he was doing and we was purchasing top of the line product, only later to find out these people are frauds. My husband vehicle has been in the shop 4 different times with them holding it for more than a month each time. All the while he is paying a car note but being forced to drive a rental car they provide by a hole in the wall enterprise that has VERY raggedy cars. There communication sucks if you don't call them and ask about your car you will not here ANYTHING Randall in the service department needs to be fired he NEVER return phone calls and could car less about the customer. They have not offered my husband ANYTHING for his inconvenience , I mean who wants to purchase a BRAND NEW car pay car payments and NEVER have the car? DO NOT I repeat DO NOT buy ANYTHING from these people new or used my husbands car had 7 miles on it when he purchased it. It should not be having any problems let alone transmission problems. It took them 4 times to figure out they needed to replace the transmission on a 2016 vehicle. Do not fall for IM help. I spent 2 weeks calling (no answer) and IM twice, since I Could not get someone on the phone. Twice they took my information to scheduled an oil change (The works). They promised to follow up to confirm the appointment and they did not (twice ) finally got someone on the phone and they did not even apologize for wasting my time. I finally scheduled the appointment for their "The works " service that I have been doing for the last 10 years at other ford dealerships (once here, I just moved to this area), no problem, they confirm. When I go for my appointment then they mentioned that they do not do The Works service package, instead oil change and tire rotation is $101.00. Horrible customer service. This is the last time I come here. They should get trained at Galpin Ford or Simi Valley Ford in a the LA area. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT! !!!!!! I take my F 250 for a routine oil change, pick it up and notice the turbo is under performing ( so I figure it's the oil change) so the next day its hard to start, then it won't start at all. So I called Randall the service write up person, ( who told me my truck was in great cond.) so I call him tell him my truck won't start, he says he has to talk to the service manager dan, to get permission to tow it in. I suspecting there was too much oil in the truck, I look at the dip stick the oil is registering over the max mark on the dip stick and oil in my driveway.dan proceeds to tell me the oil level is right, sure it is after it spilled the overage in my driveway. So in trying to start the truck I burn out the starter ( this truck has NEVER NOT STARTED). So the truck is towed in and dan tells me it'll be $600.for a new starter ( starter replaced a year ago ), granted a few phone calls to them yielded no results, so I tell dan I'd like to speak with his boss Tom Banyon, because I was in the mountains the phone reception was poor. I had an appointment for "the Works" at San Leandro Ford this past Thursday, March 29, 2018. When I made the appointment I told the gal I had a coupon for $39.95. She did not say anything about it. I arrive at Ford and had to ask other customers how to get someone to help you. When I did get someone to help, they would not honor the coupon and told me the cost is now $69.95. I complained that they should honor the coupon since on the quicklane website, it cited that this dealership honors this coupon. I ended up speaking to a manager and got him to lower the amount, but still not honor the coupon. I have been a loyal customer for 9 years since I bought my car from them. I would give them zero stars if I could for such bad customer service. I asked the manager if this is the way they treat their loyal customers? His response was "we don't want to lose you as a customer". Well, you just did. Not only will I not bring my car here for service anymore, I will not buy another ford from this dealership either. Our salesperson was Jonathan Briggs and we were very impressed with his knowledge of the vehicle and the professional manner in which we were treated. Being the cautious buyers that we are, we had come in to the store at least three times and each time Jonathan patiently answered our questions until we narrowed our search down to the vehicle that seemed best for us. My wife and I were shopping for cars all weekend and went to the San Jose, Fremont, San Leandro, and Serramonte Auto Rows. We actually started at San Leandro the first day and thanks to the attitude of Believe, who greeted us when we first got on the lot, we ended up back there for our purchase after about 16 hours of car shopping over 2 days. Each staff member that we dealt with was great, polite, but at the same time not too sales-y to where we felt we were just another number on the board. I highly recommend The Ford Store San Leandro, and if you can, I would highly recommend having Believe show you some vehicles and test driving them with you. One final side note is that Ravi is probably one of the funniest people I have ever met. He made all that boring end of the process paperwork fly by and there were very few minutes that I was not laughing during it. read more
