No lie, I'm not one to order the same dish over and over again, but I am going back to The Front Yard just to have the mushroom truffle pasta once more. We love Ogunquit, but it can be a tricky spot for dinners. I guess that's the price of being a postcard-perfect coastal town in Maine? So when we find a place like The Front Yard, you'll hear us raving about it for a while. We made reservations based on other reviews, and since we were doing an Ogunquit staycation, it just made sense. So glad I listened to those five-star reviewers; we absolutely loved it. We were lucky to grab a patio table (not gonna lie, I don't know if I would've loved it quite as much without the al fresco vibe), and it was the perfect summer (spring?) dinner. We ordered a bottle of Riesling -- they have an extensive wine list, with some affordable options -- and it paired perfectly with our meal. For apps, we went with the burrata and squash dish and the fried calamari. Both were good, though the burrata could've used a bit more flavor. Definitely not the best I've had, but the entrées more than made up for it. My husband's pesto pistachio pasta, topped with burrata, was excellent, and like I said... I'm still dreaming about my mushroom pasta. Our server was super attentive, even though the place was a little busy. We really appreciated that. And PSA: don't even try to go on the weekend during peak months without a reservation. We saw folks getting turned away left and right!

Love it! Must stop! Outdoor seating is fabulous! Service is pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu and options! Food is flavorful and well prepared. Have visited twice and have not been disappointed! The patio is covered with a great view of the "front yard" - corn hole and full bar available! The seafood pasta vodka is a must!

We came in half starved late in the day and we were very happy to get some great food. The restaurant was BEAUTIFUL with a big front patio and of course indoor seating as well. Our server was Gracie and she was wonderful throughout our dinner. We got the Pesto Burrata Pasta, Seafood Risotto, and Meatballs and a salad. For drinks, we got the Blueberry Mojito and the Peach Smash.

The Front Yard outside bar is Outstanding!!! It is beautifully designed and very comfortable. Mason was our Bartender!! He was a Great Conversationalist and created a Birthday Cocktail for us that was Sooo Delicious ! Ella was also helping to make our celebration memorable!! The drink had strawberries , blueberries , andTitos Vodka....My favorites!! It was a Perfect Evening out to Remember in Ogunquit, Maine!

We were in town on vacation. Having a 21 month old makes it very difficult to find a place to eat, especially a place that is nice. We finally decided to make last minute reservations and I am so glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious. I got the SASSY TRUFFLE MUSHROOM PASTA. It had a little spiciness to it, not too much truffle and just the right amount of flavor. I read reviews stating it was flavorless, it definitely was not! My husband had the SEAFOOD RISOTTO ALLA MILANESE and said it was his best meal in Ogunquit. My son loved the kids pizza, he ate almost all of it, which is unusual for him. I did get one of their special mixed drinks, it was a little too sweet for me. If you don't like sweet drinks, stick to wine or beer. We ate outside on the de k which is covered so you won't get rained on. The place is casual, but not fast food or bar casual. Best of all they have on site parking! I wish I had tried them sooner in our trip, I wouldn't have hesitated on going back a second time.

We had an enjoyable dinner at The Front Yard. Surprisingly busy for a Sunday night, but it is high season. Be sure you have a reservation. There are a variety of different seating areas, and we had a nice table indoors (thankfully as it has been unusually hot this summer). Our waitress was very pleasant and we were off to a good start with delicious cocktails, and complementary bread service. We were a party of four, and all enjoyed our appetizers and dinners. I had the seafood risotto which was very tasty and had a generous portion of seafood. I also thought fairly priced. If I had to find fault, it was just a tad salty for my taste, but I think this is just me as I seem to be sensitive to saltiness. Pasta dishes and scallops all received positive remarks. Plates were beautifully presented. The restaurant aims for a casual environment, which they achieve but there are a few simple misses on service which detract from the experience. We had silverware cleared, but never replaced and then plates are served with no way to enjoy the food. It took quite a bit of time for silverware to be brought, and food begins to cool. Another course, food was presented but the prior course was not cleared. Again, we were all pleased with our food, service good overall and I think we would return if the opportunity presents when visiting Ogunquit.

I ordered the Duck Margaret and Pistachio pasta with burrata. I loved the farro that came with the duck it was delicious!! I think it was my favorite part. I'd ordered that again if it was a side. The duck was cooked nicely and tasted fine, nothing special. The pistachio pasta smelled really good, but I didn't feel the taste was anywhere near as good. I added salt and it still needed something. It was very busy inside and outside. The hostess was very nice and said it would be a half hour and it was about that. I had no problem waiting inside.

The food was good, but the service was horrible. 2 salads a hamburger steak tips and 2 drinks and a $157 later all I can say is good luck.

The food and beverages are delicious and consistent. The prices are absolutely within the affordable range, comparatively speaking. The employees are welcoming and helpful if need be. I love it. Not too much and not too little. The only potential issue is the one that exists for every business in downtown Ogunquit, which is parking. If you have conquered that problem, it's a breeze, and it is very centrally located... Highly recommend.

Let me start off with the staff. From the moment we were greeted, to the very attentive, (and…read morefriendly) waiter, they were all amazing and welcoming. We could not ask for more. Onto the pizzas...it is a mixed review. The toppings were excellent, plentiful, and tasty. The crust was not my favorite but my dinner companion liked it. I prefer more of a Neapolitan style crust and I believe it would complement the toppings. The crust was denser and flatter than I would hope. For drinks, another mixed review. My dinner companion had a sangria and liked it. Today, it was just an ice tea for me. It did not taste like fresh brewed tea (at least in the last few days). It was bitter. Being a cold and wet day, we ordered coffee after our lunch. It was served with milk on the side, versus cream. In fairness, the person who served it was not a wait staff member. Holding the tray she was shaking to the point that I actually grabbed it from her before she spilled it - so it could just have been her inexperience. I may give this place another shot - it was decent, just a few things that could improve as the season goes on!

I…read morecalled and made a reservation a couple of weeks ahead of our visit (we were there on a Monday night, and in the restaurant area it was pretty quiet - just us and one other table). First things first - parking is super easy, it's a free valet service (not obvious at first, as there is parking behind the restaurant, but you're greeted right away when you pull in). We walked through the bar area, over to the restaurant area (surprisingly the bar was quite full), and were able to choose a table by one of the two fireplaces. On the restaurant side, it feels very cozy, and homey, exactly where you want to spend a cold night, inside eating dinner. Our server was lovely, greeted us right away and provided menus. I started with a cosmo (they had flavored versions like strawberry, but I elected to go for the classic). For an appetizer, we started with the bacon wrapped scallops - the bacon was maple glazed, and wonderfully crispy, with the scallops cooked perfectly, and some micro-greens scattered on the plate - delicious. For entrees, my mom had the baked seafood stuffed haddock which came with a lobster sherry cream sauce, a massive pile of perfectly cooked green beans, and mashed potatoes (yum). I went with the duck special, which was absolutely delightful. It came with Brussels sprouts, and I subbed out the au gratin (I very strongly dislike sweet potatoes), for mashed potatoes. It was delicious. We were so full, we opted for dessert to go (chocolate cake), which was generously portioned, and decadently delicious. We really enjoyed the meal - this was a wonderful dinner to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday!
