They also made a really good margarita and I am not typically a fan of traditional margaritas. The food and drink recommendations she made for the table were great, and the onion rings are definitely the best ones we've had in the area since relocating here. Both sandwiches we had were great. The Chicken Philly had a little bit of a kick to it, which made it a nice change from usual Philly sandwiches and the Cuban was different from a traditional Cuban as it had some barbecue sauce on it. It was a little different for me at first, but I ended up really liking it. Both salads were pretty big and both people really liked the salads. The person that got the blackened grouper Baja salad thought that the grouper was fabulous, seasoned perfectly and loved the salad overall. I decided to get those last night, and the fish was two good size thick cod filets, fried and breaded perfectly. The fish was flaky and tender, the remoulade it came with really elevated it, I'm glad it was not plain tartar sauce (gross). The appetizer favorite here is the pulled pork nachos for me, otherwise, we usually just get meals. If I had one small complaint, it's that the tea is usually brewed pretty weak. Steep it a little longer, and you've got me fully hooked.

If you read my previous review, you will see that I was working up the nerve to try the chicken salad, because I'm somewhat meat-averse at times, and also don't like heavily mayonnaised foods, which is a big risk with any of the so-called "salad" items (potato, chicken, tuna, etc.) in life. I can now confirm that the chicken salad is 1) not overly mayonnaised and 2) made from not-gross chicken (I have no further explanation for this, but picky eaters will know what I mean). It's relatively light, has a nice texture, and is flavorful. It is one of my favorite weekend lunch items (or weekday, if I'm working remotely and in the area) now, not just here but in general. The berries and cream pastry is delicious and I would eat everyday, or even multiple times a day, if my figure and my wallet could afford it. Sweet, rich, flaky. Definitely one of my favorite dessert / sweet snack items currently. I also got a birthday cake made here and it was absolutely gorgeous (and delicious, obviously). Very well executed and totally got my vision. As I said before, there is plenty of seating inside (outside too!) and the volume level is perfect -- lots of people coming through, but quiet enough I can read, study, or do work. The pickles in this and sauce drizzled atop weren't a great addition. The bowl was bland, the pickled onions were good and crunchy. However bearing the bottom of the bowl it had little to no flavor on the chicken. The thinly sliced chicken appeared compacted in the bowl and all other ingredients were simply tossed in the bowl. This was unfortunately not an appetizing meal or experience. I'm Not certain that I'd want to try any other items.
