I can see why Café Arthur's has been around for over 30 years. The staff is friendly and they offer a reasonably priced breakfast. My son and I came for breakfast before school and had a lovely visit. I had one of their breakfast combos which included eggs, sausage, and a pancake. Everything was really good. My son had a grilled chicken sandwich which he loved. We plan to come back and try more of their.

This little diner will give you all the nostalgia feels. Home cooked comfort food. Large menu to choose from. The service is the best!

We barely waited 5 minutes for a table, and the friendly staff made us feel right at home. We ordered their "pork loin platter" with eggs and hash browns, plus the savory "steak medallion platter" with eggs and toast. Every bite was delicious and definitely hit the spot! If you're looking for classic Americana food that's fast, friendly, and budget-friendly, this is your go-to place! Perfect for those busy days ahead.

What a great local and bustling diner! We've been several times for breakfast and lunch and it is always consistently solid and with fast, friendly, and efficient staff. The pancakes, on those days when I need some carbs, are my "go to". But their daily specials are outstanding and a great value.

May I suggest Cafe' Arthur's. They have a new breakfast and brunch menu that you will want to try. The Breakfast Patty Melt is one of the new items on the menu and it's filling and delicious! I'm not a big meat eater, so when you get a five-star from me that means it was really good! The Patty Melt has grilled onions, egg, and American cheese on grilled rye bread with one side. I'd also like to suggest the Cappuccino with a hint of vanilla. Linda made me a cup and it was perfect! Britt and I shared it. This is the kind of place where you want to bring the fam or friends and enjoy familiar foods with a twist. Every picture has a story to tell and these photos show that fresh food & family recipes and prices are at the heart of Cafe' Arthur's. While this Cafe is one of the oldest restaurants in Winston-Salem, the locals have been coming here for years. I believe the foodies have discovered this gem and are sharing it with their friends so that tourists and locals can both enjoy good food and great service! Big Thank you to Cafe' Arthur's for always providing an enjoyable experience! This diner style cafe is one of my favorite places in WS!

    Country Ham Platter

Cafe Arthurs is one of my favorite breakfast spots. I normally order the smoke sausage but this morning I was craving country ham and grits. The country ham was huge and tender. I got my eggs scrambled and opted for grits instead of my normal chunky hash browns. Everything was great except the grits. It was bland with a weird taste to it. Not sure if they add milk or cream but I prefer water, salt and butter in my grits. I do recommend the country ham but I will skip the grits next time. You can get a biscuit or toast as well. Good food at a reasonable price.

Went back in to try some of their other offerings, I got a veggie burrito this time around and their spanikopita! The burrito was so good, all the flavors blended well together. And the spanikopita was delicious as well!

We stopped in Cafe Arthur's for the first time over the weekend. We came about 10:30am for breakfast and it was pretty busy! I love the design of the restaurant, it's a great atmosphere. I got the chicken biscuit for breakfast, which was delicious. The chicken was very juicy. My husband got the omelet, which did have two egg shells in there. Other than that, breakfast was great! Will definitely be coming back.

I wanted to grab breakfast in between two doctor's appointments and remembered I had not been here in quite awhile. Nestled in the beautiful Ardmore neighborhood, this cozy diner style restaurant has been a stable in the community for a long time. It recently came under new ownership and they are doing a phenomenal job. Very welcoming and friendly, feels like your home. There are both tables and booths and though it may look small, there is plenty of seating inside. The menu has something for everyone and they run daily specials. Today's special was 4 bacon strips, two eggs, one side and toast. The bacon was perfectly crispy, with two o er easy eggs and whole wheat toast that was soft and perfectly buttered. I got a fruit cup side, with fresh blueberries, strawberries, pineapple & grapes, it topped off this perfect breakfast. My server kept my water filled and checked on me several times. I need to make my way to this side of town more often! Love it!

My wife had this in our bookmarks for a while. We were heading East to the Greensboro area and thought we would stop in for a quick breakfast. It is located in the Ardmore area among residential neighborhoods. The same block is home to other businesses that we want to come back and check out too. Parking appears to be very limited but were able to park in front of another establishment that was not yet open. There is a Food Lion across the street which might be the best option when really busy. The building is fairly small and therefore has only about 20 tables of various sizes and most were occupied when we arrived. We were immediately greeted and the young man immediately wiped down a table for us that had just opened up. The interior feels like an old diner with splashes of today. We could tell this was a locals place as we heard many people talking with each other and they seemed to recognize one another. We sat down and started looking over the menu. The breakfast menu states it is served from 6-11:30am, Monday through Friday and all day Saturday. Arthur's is closed on Sundays. My wife read quite a few reviews where others recommended the Breakfast Burrito which sounded like a great option for me. My wife chose the Meat Lovers Omelet minus the cheese, home fries, fruit and added a side of sliced tomatoes. The young lady who took our order was friendly and efficient. We were also impressed with the prices! Our food arrived quickly and looked delicious. Everything tasted as good as it looked! We were checked on throughout our visit and felt taken care of. Great little place, we recommend!

Crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside, slightly charred, it's a flavor and texture masterpiece. Mine was topped with burrata and prosciutto, they were generous with the prosciutto and it was so good and perfectly complimented by the melty burrata. A side of marina sauce adds extra zing. I found half a piece to be a satisfactory amount. My husband said he had almost ordered two pieces but only ordered one, he ate the other half of mine and found 1-1/2 pieces to be a good amount for him. He said he could have eaten two but 2-1/2 would have been too much. I chose a can of red wine to accompany this showpiece. The man behind the counter noted that the wine is made from Sangiovese grapes (as is Chianti, which is a Sangiovese blend). I thought it was an ok accompaniment to the pizza, it's not something I would drink on its own. The weather was perfect for dining al fresco, the other patrons were mostly groups of young couples, some with babies strapped to their bodies or in strollers or young children scooting about on riding toys. Pleasant.

It was a busy lunch hour when we pulled in, but still able to find parking without difficulty. Several copies of the menu are taped along the booth partitions that create the order line walkway. Lots of options, and I went with the TJ's Club Special. Order taken and paid for at the front counter, and we selected a table near the front window. The place was definitely busy with both takeout and dine-in orders. Restaurant was well-lit, comfortable, and clean. Mishap #1, we noticed a lot of other order numbers being called besides ours so my wife went up to inquire and it somehow got labeled with a different patron's name and put off to the side. Hey, mistakes happen and the order contents itself were accurate. My wife got the half-sandwich and soup and made the comment that the soup was nice and hot. My Club sandwich was PACKED with meat like you'd expect if your grandma had made it. I got my sandwich with their pasta salad and it was delicious. Mishap #2, we were hoping to use the restroom before leaving but it was labelled "out of order". For all I know, a plumber might have been dispatched, but this is one of those things I would think you need to take care of ASAP when offering a dine-in option. TJ's is definitely a must-try for a great deli sandwich.

It was hot and delicious although I felt the tortilla wrap was a little stiff like maybe they didn't warm it before adding the ingredients. My husband got an Italian Hoagie. He had them take off the 1000 Island and add mayo instead. He enjoyed it a lot. We also got a side of Onion Rings to share. The first thing we noticed was how dark in color they were and also the abundance of seasoning. My husband took a bite of one and immediately started coughing because of the super salty flavor of them. Having a long history in the restaurant business, we could tell they were re-fried and obviously re-seasoned. He returned them to the counter where they gave us a fresh batch without a problem. The new ones were visibly much better however, as long time customers of TJ's we noticed how much thicker the breading was than it used to be. I was disappointed the batter was so prominent I couldn't really taste the onion. I think they either changed their breading or changed the way they bread them. I wasn't a fan though so I will hesitate to order any breaded items from now on. The dining room, as always was bright and clean bustling with customers eating lunch. The service is nothing but friendly there every time we visit as well. I will continue to frequent TJ's Deli.
