Took my wife here today as she's always wanted to check this place out. We waited 15 minutes from the time we walked here to have someone come and get us a drink. However no one showed up and we still were waiting while some of the people that came after us were taken care of during the same time. Couldn't help notice that we were the only non white couple in the bar around that time, couldn't help but feel if that was a reason behind this sloppy service. We try to support local businesses as much as we can esp during this time of Covid but will never be returning here. Don't think places like this deserve to be in business. We arrived and checked in at the hostess stand. We wanted to sit on the patio, she ran back inside grabbed silverware and menu and handed them to us said John would be our server and went back inside. We seated ourselves and waited about 10minutes, a couple of servers made eye contact but that was it. We left....I will add they were not busy. read more

The food here was mouth-wateringly delicious. The drinks, delightfully delectable. The ambiance was absolutely to die for. It's not often I find a place so truly unique and warm for an enthusiastic first time patron. But our waiter "Jazz" was the gd worst. 1/10. read more

I found this place in a yelp search and was pleasantly surprised it was across the lake from our hotel. I decided to take a break from working and walk around the pond. Great decision! This place lived up to my expectation. Huge selection of beer, super nice staff, and good food...plus nice customers and college football. I wish I could've stayed longer. read more

I went in late night with my boyfriend, and got some items off the late night menu, we ate it up, my boyfriend said they have the best fried pickles he's ever had, we also had their charcuterie board which brought a generous amount of items for $15! We had the bartender's beer recommendation which was also good, we are locals and will definitely be back. read more

Their newest location, but also the least atmospheric of the locations. The best location in Plano at the Shops at Legacy seems to be closed. Poor executive decision as it had the nicest layout, best bar, and safest neighborhood location. Too bad that such a neat business as the GingerMan and their pubs is being run into the trash with poor managers and "corporate". Someone needs to buy them out and get good managers and corporate like they had from 2010-2017! read more

Good location, decent selection of drinks but limited selection of food. High prices! But the view makes up for it.

Staff is rude and unhelpful. Came here with a buddy and was told there were no free tables outside. We saw plenty and seated ourselves. A rude waitress told us we couldn't sit there. We told her we'd wait for a table and she rudely said we couldn't even do that. She offered no help at all. So we went inside and informed another waitress that we needed a table. After a wait we were seated outside. Even this waitress had an attitude. Offered no waters and no menus. We kind of just sat there a while before asking to be served. Waitresses here are oddly standoffish and cold. You literally have to serve yourself. Definitely not a welcoming place. Will not be back. read more

We went there since they were new to the area, and it was disappointing. We ordered the fried pickles,wings, and the Nashville Chicken. Let's start with the wings. You get 6 wings (party wings not whole wings) for $12. For $12 they should be amazing,but they looked like the frozen Tyson wings. I did not try them because of how they looked but the other person with me said they weren't that good. The fried pickles didn't look that great they were spears. It's hard to mess up fried pickles. The Nashville Chicken was extremely bland. It reminded me of shake and bake from when I was a kid. There was a very small amount of hot sauce on the bun. Nashville chicken should be bold and flavorful, not fried plain chicken. There are plenty of choices near the Toyota Music Factory that have better food. I will be going there when I need a quick meal. read more

Our first time at this place. We called in early to make sure they could sit us right away since we had other plans, and the restaurant said they had table available. After getting there, we sat for 20min, no server, not even water. Two other families came in after us, and were served right away. Horrible service for a new place that's trying to get new clients. Was excited to come here for the first time with my friend and her kids. We were told to sit wherever and a sever would be with us. We got ignored by multiple servers for about 20 min. We decided to leave and go to Cork and Pig around the corner, which was excellent! Anyway, I can't say anything about the food but the service was pretty awful. read more

I have to say, this place is a hidden gem! The view is spectacular of the river, relaxing and comfortable outside area too. Inside is even better, the vast beer selection would make any beer connoisseur mouth water. Food was absolutely delightful with very knowledgeable staff who were on point in every single way! The manager Ross came by our table to ensure we were having the best time, which rarely ever happens ANYWHERE! He was absolutely hilarious, witty and overall a phenomenal manager! Not the OG HTown GMan of my med school days but it's the last one standing and it just so happens to be a mile and change from my home. Swankier and a nice menu the OG could never pull off and Danielle and the rest of the staff are helpful and knowledgeable about the brew served. Outside anytime but the winter is great and the inside is cozy and inviting for convivial get togethers. Even TV's that are actually not 12 inch screens like the Houston one. read more

This is a nice place to have a beer but don't expect anything special. They do have a lot of taps but there are really only a couple that are outside of ordinary. The food menu is pretty close to basic bar food. After looking at the menu I decided to have a beer and go look for another place to eat. If you are looking for a place to have a beer and just hangout it is not a bad place to be. read more

My boyfriend and I were really excited to check this place out so we decided to walk from our apartment to eat a late dinner and play darts. We aren't drinkers. We are also 29 years old. That being said- we get there and there is maybe 20 people inside. Took someone forever to even seat us and when they were about to take us to a table they asked to see our IDs. No door guy. Just the hostess or waiter whatever he was. We walked here on a whim and didn't bring our IDs because 1. This doesn't look like a bar. And 2. We don't drink. And are almost 30. He tells us he can't seat us lol I'd get it if you had a door guy but we legit walked inside and stood around after walking in the heat only to be told no we couldn't get food. Get a grip. My boyfriend and I, notoriously, order at least one appetizer, two to three entrees and a dessert or two every single time we go to dinner because we don't drink and treat our palettes instead. We also tip extremely well because we both used to bartend in college. So, their loss really. We probably would have actually given them some money which they clearly are lacking since it's Friday night, there was hardly anyone there, and this is in LAS COLINAS which has zero bar scene and WILL never have one. One star. Once I'm not sweating and annoyed I may consider going back to give them a second shot. Until then don't turn away customers when you JUST opened. read more

Been here twice before I made a full review. The first time we went around 7:00 pm, we sat outside and had a lot of trouble getting a server assigned to us. Once we finally had one she never really returned to the table proactively - she took our beer order while looking around at other diners and someone else delivered the beers. She never came back, we kept having to flag her down to order some waters and a flatbread (it was not good, tasted like a microwaveable hot pocket.) We tried to order some of the Small Bites too (nuts, mac n cheese, etc.) and she told us that the restaurant wasn't able to serve those items at this time and to come back in a few weeks. We flagged her down for the check and left to try again later. We came back again today and sat inside. It was an empty house, but we got a much better waiter who was great. He did seem confused though when I asked if they were able to serve the small bites - he said we never should've been told that they weren't available because they have been since they opened. ??? We order some drinks and the nuts and Macncheese hoping it would be better than the flatbread. It wasn't. Very bland and tasted like it was pre made from a mix or microwave. The nuts were the most frustrating thing - $5 for a TINY ceramic of Planters nuts? We were hoping for some house made bar nuts, fresh from the oven, but these were straight up the exact same Planters can we have in our pantry from Walmart. Long story short, it's very nice and pretty inside (which kind of makes the crap food more of a surprise than I guess it should be) and they have fun games. You'll like it if you're just getting a beer or simple well drink. Please skip the food, you'll be so disappointed. Service is hit or miss. The $5 nuts are just plain insulting and should be taken off the menu. read more

I was in town staying at the Omni for a conference. I hit The Ginger Man three times for some beers. I loved the vibe in there, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Particularly, Chris the bartender. He knew his beers and was great to talk to. 62 beers on tap. A great spot! read more

Great location!! Been waiting for them to open for awhile now. Been to the one in Austin but this view is to die for. Right on the water during sunset is an amazing sight. Had the Kraut and Braut sandwich with a Belgian Beer. Great selection! The bartender told be about their Trivia Tuesday starting up next week. Will def be back for that! read more

Quite possibly the worst service I have ever experienced. My best friend from college and I went out for a moms night to have a drink and get away. We ordered a glass of wine, a mule and some appetizers. It took over 20 minutes to get anything delivered to our table. Not even water. The drinks finally came out, followed by the food which was set down by another waitress. She was going to dump the food and leave without giving us plates, napkins or silverware. When we asked for plates she rolled her eyes and stomped off - clearly annoyed. She didn't give us a chance to ask for silverware so when she arrived and basically threw the plates at us, I asked for silverware and she said "ugh. I'll tell your waitress to bring them" - mind y'all it's not like they were busy - there were 4 staff and maybe 8 small tables of people total in the place. 5 min later we are still sitting there, plates of food that we can't eat, and drinks w no water (still haven't seen our waitress) - so I finally go inside to ask for silverware/napkins and I see the girl - young, tall, blondeish hair laughing w our waitress and another young male staff, CLEARLY having a non-work related conversation. They are all standing right next to the silverware station too. Look I get that maybe this isn't their dream job, they made that very clear, but we weren't expecting 5 star service. Just wanted the bare minimum supplies to be able to eat our food - which, incidentally was disgusting. The spinach artichoke dip was overly salty and the stuffed jalapeños were ironically so tough (not cooked long enough and raw) that I basically needed a steak knife to eat them successfully - did not bother to ask or say anything for obvious reasons. The blonde waitress did make another appearance before we left to angrily pick up some stuff from the table and did not smile or apologize and just had tons of attitude. Beyond disappointed in our experience. We live in the area and could never see myself going back or ever recommending. read more
