This is a small bussiness and they treat all customers like friends. It was my first Brazilian and Sharon made me feel super comfortable. She explained everything as she went, and mid wax she had me laughing and not nervous. She then also did my tan, which I chose the lightest color since I'm fair skin. The tan is cold but goes quick, and dried quickly as well. Looked natural and not streaky. My Brazilian by the next morning looked so good, no more redness and they apply these really awesome smelling oils at the end. Did I mention they have a loyalty punch card! For all their faithful customers after you purchase so many services they will give you a service listed free. I am now considering doing some lashes just because I love this place and really trust in their work.

I've had my hair done by other people over the years, but no one has ever been able to do my hair quite like he does--which is exactly why I always come back to him. This review is for hairstylist Kevin Matthews. Avoid having your hair done by this stubborn,…read morearrogant stylist. For the first two visits, he was moving in the right direction with my hair -- I asked him to highlight my hair and help me blend it with the silver/gray growing in, toning everything ashy. After the first visit, my hair started to get brassy. He toned it between visits. After the second visit, he added some more highlights and did a better job toning out the brassiness and moving toward ash. On the third visit, I told him we were close and I just wanted some low lights on the silver roots growing in to blend things better, and also to continue toning everything a grayer/ashier color. When he was done, I was a full brunette again. He dyed right over the highlights he had previously put in. I was stunned. In follow-up text messages, he dug his heels in and said he did exactly what I asked. In what world, would I want a stylist to undo all the work (not to mention, damage) of lightening my hair in an effort to adapt to my natural silvering hair? His solution was "go swimming a couple of times and some of the highlights are going to start to show." He later said that the dyes he used are made to wash out within 20-26 washes. So, I paid him $160 for a job that was just going to wash out? I could've done that myself. Avoid Kevin Matthews, he has no interest in hearing what you want done with your hair. And if he makes a mistake, he has no interest in owning it. As for the Face & Body Emporium... the manager spoke with him, but because he's an independent contractor, they have no recourse to support their customers. So whoever you choose here, know that if you have the misfortune to encounter a stylist who damages your hair, there is no accountability here. None.
