Chill vibe, spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. Standalone restaurant close to a housing community so I guess good for the residents. While the food was good, service was slow and even tho it was during their happy hour, the place wasn't yet busy it look a while. We got the boneless wings and fries basket, the Nashville hot mac & cheese, for drinks we got a Foothills people's porter beer and an old fashion.

My husband and I wanted to check this place out because we were craving burgers. The Goat has a great vibe and potential. Service was noticeably slow and they didn't seem that busy. The beers were good and we really enjoyed our appetizers. However, we both thought the burgers were just "blah". The meat was not exciting or flavorful. The burgers were overcooked in my opinion. The toppings on my Nashvegas burger were tasty, but it didn't make up for the dull meat. I think The Goat is probably fine for drinks and appetizers, but I don't recommend it for dinner or burgers. Appetizers Pickle Chips: so delicious (my favorite food of the night). I loved that the pickles were thick. They had the perfect ratio of pickle to fried coating. Farmhouse Tots: HUGE tots (the biggest tots I've ever seen) covered with pork belly, fried egg, queso, scallions, & sriracha aioli.

Great food and service in a casual setting! First time here and loved it all-- from coffee to breakfast options there was something for everyone .

Pretty solid "bar" food (that's what I would best compare it to). Have been here twice now, sat outside at the window (nice option if you're swimming at the pool right outside, or want a little fresh air). The outside bar is pretty long (as is the window that they open up for service), and there's plenty of bar seating- as well as tables. I have tried the pepperoni flatbread (appreciate all the optional add-ons), the burger, and the tater tots. I thought the flat bread was really good, not too saucy, crust was fluffy and crisp, and the pepperoni was crispy. The burger was really juicy, the brioche bun was fresh and soft, and I loved the option to add on macaroni and cheese as a side (instead of fries). I got the American burger with bacon, and added the macaroni to it! The loaded baked potato tots are scrumptious- the sour cream, fried onions, and cheesy (creamy! interior really make the tots unique, compared to any I've had before. I would definitely come back here to eat lunch or dinner again!

I usually enjoy my time but I think my Bookclub was pared with a new waitress. The food was good, atmosphere was even better.

The ambiance was nice. It was a large indoor space, divided with a separate coffee/ breakfast bar area. The outdoor patio overlooks a really nice pool with an outdoor volleyball court. Because it's on the outskirts of an upscale apartment complex, you can sit and enjoy watching all the activities, Maybe even participate if they let you. Our waitress Mary was fabulous. She was very friendly And welcoming. Our cheese board was awesome. We will definitely go back again.

Hey Travoodies Hey.. On a quick stop in Raleigh Durham, NC I dined in at The Goat Restaurant & Bar. First let me say thank you to manager who stopped at the table to make sure that we were taken care of, and offered her service as she mentioned having a fairly new staff for the day. Secondly, Jake, my waiter, I would come see you any day and your energy was amazing. Let's talk about the ambience. Less is more... is how I felt in this establishment. Simple yet prominent decor made perfectly for communing with friends. In the atmosphere you hear chatter and laughter, exposing the truth of being a lively social gathering place. After careful review of the menu, and at the suggestion of Jake I went with the Korean Crispy Chicken Wrap with Brussels sprouts instead of the house chips. The wrap was good but if I could offer one suggestion it would be to have a sauce with the wrap. I opted for the whisky sauce to pair with the wrap and it was exactly what was needed. The perfect sauce would something sweet and spicy if you ask me. The Brussel sprouts were AH- MAZING. I don't know the sauce they coated them with but it was so delicious. How can I forget the fried pickles. simply delicious. For my drink choice, I went with midnight orchid. This drink was a mix of Wheatley Vodka, simple syrup, butterfly pea tea, and lemon juice. I definitely enjoyed my time at The Goat. I am adding it to my list go tos.

So…read moresince I couldn't get a reservation on my birthday to the place I originally wanted to go, we decided to come here. There is plenty of parking on the backside of the building, paid parking out front, and be careful not to park in the apartment spaces on the side...they sounded pretty serious about towing. I had made a reservation but it was probably unnecessary as it was pretty empty when we arrived (it was about 5pm on a Saturday.) The waitress brought a bottle of water to the table and took our drink order. And I know that this place is literally call it's a Southern thing but can I mention how much I dislike drinking out of mason jars? I ordered the chicken n biscuits, my husband got the country hamburger steak plate, my BiL got wings, and my SiL got the crabcakes. We also orders charred jalapeno & sweet corn hushpuppies and frickles as an appetizer. I was VERY excited about my food. Y'all...the only thing that impressed me were the Frickles. Everything else was distinctly underwhelming. I also ordered Blackberry Betta Have My Money which was not that great. My SiL ordered a espresso martini that they said didn't come from a mix but she said it tasted like it was. The bathrooms were very clean. The decor and the vibe were great. Cute even. I really enjoyed that part of it. After dropping off our food, we never saw our waitress again unless we flagged her down for drink refills. It was especially frustrating since there was automatic gratuity added. And since the place wasn't that busy, it felt like she didn't feel the need to earn her automatic tip. Overall I was disappointed in my birthday dinner. I won't be coming back here.

We've been to Aaktun in Durham multiple times for both breakfast and dinner, and it's honestly become one of our favorite spots. I'm Peruvian and grew up with Peruvian cuisine, so seeing lomo saltado -- a classic Peruvian dish -- on the menu immediately made me happy. Having also grown up in Mexico and lived in places like Miami, I really appreciate what they're doing with the menu: a modern, delicious take on Latin flavors that feels creative without losing what makes those cuisines special. The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. You walk in thinking it's a stylish little coffee shop, then head toward the back and the whole place opens up -- gorgeous bar, tropical touches, cozy alcove seating, really cool vibe. One time we went with friends for a special dining experience they were offering, and it was excellent. The food, drinks, and whole experience were made even better by Fernando, the manager, who has always been incredibly warm, helpful, and accommodating. Highly recommend Aaktun for breakfast or dinner. Still haven't made it there for lunch somehow, but at this point we'd be shocked if it wasn't great too.

"Part Dos - Mostly great, with a few exceptions"…read more Food temp is major in my book. While many of the food options were hot, several were not, and I believe that impacted the overall dining experience. We ordered classic breakfast and jerk chicken lunch options. For drinks: Cappuccino and Mango Refreshers. The good: (1) Fried rice - which accompanied the jerk chicken (served hot). While simple, the slightly earthy and bitter (in the best way possible) from the braised/steamed baby bok choy perfectly accompanied the earthy mushroom, and complex soy inspired fried rice. So good - this could be a vegan or meat side entree unto itself - IMO. (2) Scrambled Eggs - If you enjoy large curds of gently scrambled eggs - this is for you. While we enjoyed the remaining options for portion size and flavor, we did note that the temperature was cool to mid - which impacted overall flavor. Jerk Chicken: we understand this is a jerk inspired interpretation. With that being said, the most interesting flavor was limited to the crispy skin. Perhaps the chicken was immersed in a salt brine and basted with a jerk flavoring? We loved the white (perhaps mayo based sauce), and accompanied pickled red onion. But baby, the food temp. Yucca fries - if you're unfamiliar - are the baby of a green plantain and white potatoes. While good, they were not hot. Maybe could have benefited from a unique sauce? Food service good. But the biggest miss was the cheese hash browns and Mango Refresher. Hash brown (cheese) room temp, and tough - Mango Refresher - too tart and not worth the cost. As far as ambience: Customers were Hip, sexy, multi ethnic , and included old and young. We loved our waiter. Overall, a little disappointing especially considering we loved our first coffee breakfast visit so much. Not sure if it was an off day or we just prefer other menu options. However, we'd definitely visit again! Brunch/lunch: 4.2
