So I went here for the very first time and I sat outside. I enjoyed my food,the scenery and service. I can't wait until the pool opens and maybe play volleyball too. I stopped into the goat for a couple of after work drinks and we got the Nashville hot chicken dip....it was so good. It comes out boiling hot (literally) the pimento cheese is bold and delicious, the Nashville hot chicken is actually really spicy but has a nice sweet overtone to balance it out. This plus a Buffalo Trace on the rocks was a perfect appetizer/drink combo. Defiantly come try this if you're in the area. read more

I met a group of work friends here for an evening... It's a cute bar in the middle of an appartment complex with exposed work and such. Although they have good drinks (I took the word of my companions), and ok food, I can't get with this bar. The service is aweful, and the music is far too loud for the type of place it is... and I'm not some 'old fart', I LOVE loud music, it just doesn't match this place. I may need to give this place, maybe even a different location, another try... I won't seek this out, but woudn't turn it down if asked. read more

Excellent food, so much that it's surprising that this is a pub. The drinks are good and reasonably priced. Service is hit or miss depending on who is working. If you're a man and like to wash your hands, you'll be disappointed--they NEVER have any soap. read more

The food is just ok! There is no consistency in quality and taste. One of my favorite is chicken buffalo wrap. Burger is not bad as well.

The first and foremost noticeable feature: Very loud. While the high ceilings is awesome, aesthetically, it lends itself to the load music and voices all around. The music, while a decent mix of 90s upbeat, was too loud. Almost disjointing to the whole welcoming vibe. 6 pm on a beautiful Monday night. About half full (If that) with patrons. And only two servers working. I went to the one that was closest to the front door and she said we could set ourselves. We found a circular table in the back, as my grandma couldn't do high-back chairs. The table was dirty with bacon pieces and drips, so instead of waiting for a server to come, I found one and told her so she could bring a rag. We waited for 17 minutes. Nothing. I saw the two servers walking by, but no one came our way. So we left. We were getting hungry, and for a party of 6, we no doubt would have had an extremely slow dinner - thumbs down. I'm kind of bummed, as I've heard mixed reviews for the other Goats. Will I ever make it to another location? Who knows. I do know there are many other places on my bookmarks list, and first impressions are everything to me. Time will tell. read more

We had just hiked nearly 25 miles the 1.5 days before, we were salivating over the thought of having a burger and beer on our way home after the camp/hiking trip, so we decided to go with a local suggestion of The Goat. Walk up, and you're like...is there a restaurant here or is this an apartment complex? It's a very cool idea for the apartment complex, as the residents will go there, have a beer, and hang out by the pool. The downfall: you have random public members watching you at the pool (kinda weird/creepy to me). We got there, got seated near the opened patio area (great view and location). The waitress was clearly hungover. Got my order wrong a couple of times, tried to make up for it by rapping....was just a failure on serving overall. The beer: it was good to try a local (Cincinnati, OH) brew. I got the hard cider. It was good. I also got the veggie burger. They forgot the sauce so they had to bring it out as a side. Yes, they gave us more than what normally comes on the burger so we could dip our fries, but still, you messed up the order. Again. The actually burger was good, nothing I would write home about. Would I go back? Sure, as I have some friends of friends that live there. If they didn't live there? Nah. Honestly, the bathrooms are what stole the show for me. This is a really good place. The decorations inside are really cool and the place has a really good vibe to it. I loved the appetizer which were the tots with eggs. It was really good. My burger had guacamole cheese and onion straws but there were many other unique toppings and great things to get. I really recommend this place and will definitely be back. read more

so upsetting. we love The Goat but this time it was disappointing. i ordered the devil on goatback pizza, and paid an extra $2 for EXTRA pork belly. $17.50 for a pizza with a few tiny burnt pork belly pieces; can hardly taste anything but burnt. do not recommend ordering for pick up, at least you can ask them to make it again if you sit down and eat. just thought with COVID their food would be the same quality. do not recommend read more

The interior of the restaurant is amazing. Considering the size of the patio and inside, it could be a good option for a big group. Otherwise, the food is pretty average. Typical American restaurant with burgers, sandwiches, pizza, wings, etc. It's basically a Chili's with a nice interior. Service was good even though the food came out late. The server kept checking in on us to make sure we were all good. I think this place could become a five star restaurant by reducing wait times for food and making their menu a little more exciting or improving their current menu items. I don't see why I would come back unless I lived in the surrounding apartments. read more

Who would have thought this little bar/restaurant tucked in the middle of an apartment complex would become one our regular "go to" restaurants for casual dining? I love the atmosphere especially on nice days when it's open to the outside. The food is typical pub fare but a step above "bar food". My particular favorites are the buffalo chicken wrap and Italian pizza roll appetizer. As other reviewers have noted the service can be a bit "leisurely" at times but it has never been much of an issue. Relax and enjoy! read more

We went to this location on a Saturday morning and they were completely dead which made me worry but in the end, the goat is great! I had a peach margarita and it was fantastic! My sister had a Moscow mule and she said her drink was also great. We ordered a pizza and buffalo cauliflower to share and I'm dying to go back and get my exact meal again it was that good! I like it so much that I toured LC Hilliard bc I wouldn't mind living right next door. The atmosphere is great too. I like the way that the bar is positioned for the summer. We brought a large group very last minute and their GM was kind, patient and so easy to work with even though they were extremely busy. The bartenders worked their tails off, the food was delicious and our party had a wonderful time. We are all looking forward to many more trips and will be adding The Goat Hilliard to our take-out list too! read more

We love The Goat! I feel like it's a total hidden gem in Columbus! The food is awesome (get the sweet potato fries) and the decor gives it an awesome atmosphere. I've even gone between hours with a laptop and got a lot of work done. It's a great place to meet friends or just hang out. You don't have to live in the apartment complex to go! It's great! Note not all the goats are the same - the one in Hilliard is our favorite because it's a lot more laid back :) read more

I've been coming here for awhile now and food was always good until recently. Me and my girlfriend would always come here for the burgers which were always great quality and you could tell they were using quality beef. Now when we go to order the burgers they ask if we want pink or no pink instead of normally just saying medium or medium rare and I say pink everytime but it's always over cooked and the patties look like they got them from a school cafeteria and just microwaved them from frozen. There are now two small patties on burger that are small and shriveled up instead of the great single patty that had before. The food here has noticeably just gone down hill as far as quality goes. It's a shame they're trying to cut costs and we will not be returning here anytime soon. read more

Not good. Service was fine but it's over 90deg out and the air conditioning is off and the fans don't move the air inside enough at all. They serve Guinness without a glass with it, when we asked for a glass it was dirty. Their old fashioneds do not taste good, but that might be because of the bourbon used, Old Forester is terrible. We left after drinks so we have no idea how good or bad the food is here. We will not return. read more

Tried this place out for lunch, beautiful restaurant and patio area! Not to crowded for lunch on and week day. Glad the music was not too loud as a lot of reviews stated. The service and server were Great!!!!! Food ordered and to the table in 9 mins got brisket tacos and farmhouse tots. Food was ok don't really feel like anything was seasoned very well. Salt and pepper do amazing things for taste of food. And there was supposed to be pork belly in the farm house tots got one cube. Like I said food was not bad just ok. Stopped in for a quick lunch on the way to a meeting. This place is just plain cool! Lots to look at. Big high ceilings, few cozy chairs, nice looking bar. The food was great and very reasonable on the wallet. Service was good, though it wasn't very busy at all. I think as this area continues to grow this place hopefully continues to deliver. If I had any gripe, it would be parking. Was plenty but it's all a weird one way into the spot, but on a two way isle. The last time we went to The Goat was May 2021 and we waited 2 hours for our food and it never came. We understand that workers are hard to come by so we didn't complain. We just left. We tried it again tonight, September 10th. There was parking available so we figured it was good. We walked in and the hostess chalkboard said sit ANYWHERE you would like. We wanted to sit outside. Of the 3 unoccupied outside tables, 2 were dirty and piled high with glasses and plates. We sat at an outside bar window seat. The table was clean and had a laminated menu on it. We waited 10 minutes for a server. Someone carrying food to a table stopped and said, "this table is closed". I guess it's sit anywhere but the clean table with a menu on it. We just left again. They can't handle things even when they aren't very busy. read more

My husband and I sat at the bar and ordered food on a late Saturday afternoon the day before Easter. The bartender seemed to be annoyed we were taking up his time. We ordered a bottle of wine with our food so we had a substantial tab and they weren't busy. Maybe he had a bad day. I love this place! I had been to other locations in the past that were good, but I just love this one. The bar is huge, with plenty of TVs. A great sports bar atmosphere. The can also open the doors and make for an inside/outside combination which is great as well. The servers are always accommodating and friendly. The food is also great. I like everything I've had. I have to recommend the Farmhouse Tots! Incredible! Also love their buffalo chicken pizza and brunch options! Not to mention they have a Bloody Mary and mimosa bar on (at least) Sunday's! Their ranch is also worth mentioning. Great place to go for sports, or even a dinner and drinks! And brunch :) UPDATE: As of late, the service here has been really lacking. At this moment I am here with one other person and we've been waiting on our food for 55 minutes. The food here is excellent. Had to order from the brunch menu. The food we ordered is less expensive on the brunch menu, yet they charged us full price for some items. We had to notice it and then have it adjusted. Ordered a drink without the alcohol and they charged full price. Was a slight struggle to get adjusted. Server was excellent. We were looking for a place to grab a drink between wedding festivities when we were visiting from out of town and we couldn't have made a better choice! We cozied up on a nice leather couch in a sitting area off the bar that was private and quiet (and just what we needed!) The server was very attentive despite the fact we were a bit out of her way and took great care of us! I had a few strong bourbon drinks (like strong strong -- order with caution) and the beer list was good! We had just come from eating but I glanced at the menu and it looked really good.
