    Slider Trio

The Goat is a chain but it offers consistent house staples that are certain to please. I've been here on both business lunches and casual dates with my husband and I've always walked away satisfied. My favorite spot to dine at this location is on their patio, situated adjacent to the nearby apartment complex's pool. At my last visit, my husband and I shared the whipped feta, Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes with garlic aioli, and the slider trio. The crunchy yet chewy pita was a nice surprise and I enjoyed the candied pecans topping the tangy feta. The sweetness from the potatoes helped tame the bitterness that comes with most Brussels sprouts preparations. Each slider was more unique than the one before. Everything was enjoyable and I'd recommend it all and gladly order each item again at a future visit.

We've been here several times now and the experience has been a pleasant one, but the food doesn't blow me away. It's more about the execution than anything. The service is good, the vibes are right, but the food is average. This last visit we got chicken wings that were lemon pepper parm flavored. There wasn't a punch of lemon and the flavor and texture of the wing fell flat. It wasn't bad, just average. My ceasar salad was good, but there were large chucks of the bottom of the romaine in the salad. Again, nothing to complain about, but just lacked the extra that it would take to get 4 or 5 stars. The ranch is very very good though. I will give credit there.

I've been to the Mt. Juliet location several times over the years and it's been consistently good. It's like half restaurant and half Bar. There are plenty of TV's to watch the games on. There's not much decor to soak up the noise so it can get loud in there when they are busy. They serve brunch on the weekends until 2:00 p.m. This review is for Sunday brunch. They have a full bar along with umbrella covered tables outdoors and a volleyball court. They have GOAT Favorites, All Day Favorites, Burgers, Tacos, Apps, Flatbread Pizzas and Brunch Coctails.

    Nashvegas Burger and Fries

Good atmosphere, clean. Was able to hit the happy hour (before 6pm) for $2 off apps and Burgers. Chips and Queso were ok. I'm not a thick chip guy, but they need to be for the thick queso. Great flavor Burger was ok. Let's just say it was cooked throughly. Liked the special sauce (little pepper kick) and bacon. Fries were ok. The burger was really dry. Would go back for a second try. Service was friendly and fast. $26 for Nashvegas burger, fries, nachos/queso and tip. Had water. Edit-I did not notify any staff. Thanks to management for reply. Definitely should had been a 4 Star my mistake on the 3. Corrected.

Carnivore scramble, basically how it was served, minus a few bites
    Lara W.

My wife and I went here on mother's day just by chance. Pros: -We were able to sit at the bar immediately without a reservation -The biscuit sampler was fun, even if the biscuits were a bit dry, we loved the sauces - Staff was friendly although slow (it was a holiday so we expected, but it was not overly busy during our time) Cons: -The carnivore scramble was horrible. A complete joke of a meal- cold, overcooked scrambled eggs with two pieces of small pork belly and a few pieces of chopped up deli ham -Everything arrived cold except the hash browns/ I think our food must have sat there for ten+ minutes waiting on those to get done -The staff kind of shrugged and gave us 10% off the scramble (like $1) when we mentioned it was inedible politely and she took away the basically untouched meal. I told her we didn't want a comp, just to let her know, but I'd almost rather her do nothing than take off 10%, right? The aesthetics are cute but I'd avoid this place, honestly.

    Buffalo Chicken Wrap

The place is really nice. We had a great server, Haven, that helped suggest some of her favorite cocktails. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower as an appetizer and that was fantastic! My husband ordered the chicken gyro and I had the buffalo chicken wrap. Both items arrived quickly and were very good. We will definitely come here again!

Wings were very good, best ive had in Mount Juliet so far, burnt ends were good, we asked for no jalapeños but still got them anyways, had to pick them off since we arent fans of anything spicy. Ribs were tender and cobb salad was a great option minus the guacamole, its obvious its not made fresh and most likely from a jar i expected freshly made guacamole at a restaurant but still decent to eat. Drinks were really good! My boyfriend got the old fashioned and i had wine then a cocktail. Service was subpar, waitress didn't give refills on water and very passive instead of proactive. Will definitely come back to try it out again.

They gave us our own little room and even helped hang the decorations. The food tasted great. My order was wrong, but the Spring salad was similar enough to the Our Signature salad that it didn't really matter. The menu is pretty extensive: appetizers of all kinds, salads, bowls, soups, burgers, wraps, pizza, even pan-fried Brussels sprouts! Service was decently fast for a party our size. One guest had to remind the waitstaff about his meal, but after that, it was brought out momentarily. Price is as to be expected at this type of restaurant, and we had a 20 percent gratuity automatically added due to our party size. Atmosphere was pleasant with great pop music. Staff happily honored our request to turn the TVs to the Atlanta Braves game.

French Onion soup (cup) - the smallest cup of soup I have ever seen, but my daughter found it lacked the deep, rich, meaty flavor synonymous with French Onion soup and left half of it. Fish tacos - fish to tortilla ratio was on point. The fish tacos were well dressed and the cabbage add a nice crunch. This entree was 10x better than those starters. Bam Bam shrimp - had some crispy texture even though covered in the sauce. It was a solid dish and everyone finished it off. Sides- onion rings and fries. These were standard fare. Shrimp scampi flatbread - did not come out hot and quite flabby. We decided the kitchen was having a bad night. The cocktails were fine, so the bartender was having a better night. The service was quite slow but it was a busy night, so understandable as my daughter and I both worked as servers while in college. There is many parking opportunities here as this restaurant is surrounded by other retail stores and restaurants. I included the receipt in my pictures because I want you to know about the "hospitality fee". I find this disturbing practice is increasing. In my opinion, this practice is deceptive. It makes me believe the owners or corporate office is not paying their employees what they are worth. As a former waitress during my younger years, this will only make patrons reduce the waitresses tip if they are not bold enough to have it removed. I did not see this at the time we were finishing up as we were talking and just trying to get out of the restaurant. I did not see it listed on the menu either, although most restaurants that partake in this deception has it listed in very small print somewhere on the menu. I just avoid these restaurants in Vegas - but never thought Mt. Juliet restaurants would adapt such a practice. Lesson learned.

I think a perfect egg is like the star of any breakfast and is definitely the headliner/closer of any perfect entree. But I also think good hash browns are the foundation any breakfast is built on. If the potatoes are off--too crunchy, sliced or shredded too big, bad seasoning, &c--the eggs often can't save it. That's why any dish built on the premise of potatoes on the bottom and eggs on top is the ideal dish for me. Paper Mill has a good skillet plate. The potatoes are chunky but not overly so. The sausage and ham are plentiful--definitely no skimping here. The veggies lend a good flavor but don't overstay their welcome. That sauce complements everything well. And my eggs were great. Once mixed it was perfect. I think the only complaint I have of the service was the coffee refills were a bit slow. I'm used to servers coming by and asking for a refill. It shattered, the drink going everywhere but mostly on the lap of my guest. That happens sometimes and I thought our table took it pretty well. What doesn't happen though is we were left to clean up the mess... Our server did come and pick up the remnants of the glass after a bit as well as dropping off a few napkins and a bandage for one of my guests who was cut with a glass shard. She did apologize profusely for the accident and I would not have brought any of this up on a yelp review had it not been for what followed... Our salads came and we're not at all what I've come to expect from Longhorn. Finally our steaks came and the poor guy who had a drink broke in his lap had his steak well undercooked. He pointed it out and the server (not our waitress) was obviously annoyed and took the plate back to the kitchen... What they brought back could best be described as charcoal. It would have been funny any other time but by this point, I was just over it. Finally, a manager came by and asked about our dinner. We told him about the broken glass, dumped drink, the cut hands, the burnt, burnt steak and the room temperature baked potatoes all around. He didnt apologize, he didn't offer a discount but he did offer one of my guest another potato... I go to Longhorn quite often when I travel. This was my third visit to this Longhorn as I'm in the Nashville area four or five times a year for business. I kind of doubt there will be a fourth visit.
