    House salad with ranch dressing

I was very surprised to find such a great restaurant in Laughlin. This is an old school place. I felt like I was in a time warp from 20 years ago but that was fine by me. The room is dated but super comfortable. We had excellent vies of the river from large windows. The service was spot on and everyone was super knowledgeable of the menu. We had the château Brion for two. It was perfectly cooked and so tender. The house salads were delicious. I wish I saved room for dessert because it sounded delicious and they had over 7 items for dessert. The wine list was large and fair priced. Definitely Laughlin's hidden gem.

Definitely for an older crowd, but my date and I were super impressed! The location was a little hard to find in the casino, but when we got our food it was all worth it! We had reservations for night time but I wish we got to see the sunset on the water. There are no bad seats in this restaurant, and it was super nice to be seated side by side looking out onto the water. For the $$$ price of the dishes, our food was good! Particularly the beef soup appetizer was very savory and delicious, and we loved the Shrimp Fra Diavolo, though it can get pretty spicy! We also got the Lobster Ravioli, and it came with a ton of pasta...we couldn't even finish! I think I would skip it though, it felt a little bland compared to the Shrimp pasta, especially for the price. Loved that they give you a sorbet as a palette cleanser in between appetizers and entrees. Looking forward to coming back when we're in town!

This was our first overnight visit to the Riverside, and we always wanted to stay at the Riverside. The Gourmet Room is the kind of awesome old school, red leather spot you NEED to experience!!!! The service the food and the ambience will take you back to an era that was epic!!

Upon being greeted, we got hosted by John and Arnold. Arnold took the the drink order, while John broke down the dinner specials. UNFORTUNATELY FOR ME, Reservation was done and I forgot to RSVP 48hrs ahead of time so no beef wellington for me!! DO I regret doing this,YES. I had to order veil, and our guests went for steakhouse and Italiano. We were excited to enjoy the frog legs, escargot and a delightful mint sorbet to cleanse our palate before our meals arrived. The ambiance was great, upscale. We did have great Martinis and cocktails. Those came pretty quickly and often. These two guys were very attentive giving us great service. I had French hubby and brother had steakhouse, and sista had the fish special of the night. We all had a delivery of fresh creme brule with a side of ice cream for sharing. Arnold was quick to box our left over. All in all, great dinner, and will definitely recommend. I will say, 7pm-9pm,next time we will arrive a bit earlier. This way we don't feel as rushed. Overall,I recommend this place and for intimate or small party. Thanks to staff for making our 1st experience delightful

We try to hit the Gourmet Room at least once a year. Each time, we have always been impressed. Our goal is to either try something outside of our norm, or indulge in something we wouldn't normally eat. This time we did a bit of both. We started with the Baked Brie with berries. Wow!!! Such a combination of tastes that made for an excellent taste on our palettes. After our soup and palette cleanser, I had the surf and turf and my fiancée had the Pasta Rustica. Both were delicious and made perfectly. We then finished with a lava cake, which unfortunately didn't have any lava . A bit of a bummer, but not enough to ruin our experience. As always the service was terrific and our waiter was there for our every need. We were once again lucky to get a window seat and got to see the sunset on the water (or at least the reflection of it since their windows face east). Always a topper to a great Laughlin trip.

The wait times are somewhat long but that's not their fault...you can't make people hurry when they're enjoying a great meal after a day on the water. The real purpose of my review is to talk about my experience with the Manager, Michelle. She handled what was a very serious and sensitive moment for me and my large group with such sensitivity and grace. She was understanding, empathetic and she made one of my least favorite moments so much easier with her willingness to work with my group. She found a way to accommodate us even though we mis-counted our party size by 2. I am so aware that this wasn't easy for her and that it adds to the already stretched staff. Michelle...thank you endlessly!

My wife and I ordered the rib-eye steak; mine was bone-in. The steak melts in your mouth. We did not leave any leftovers since our dinner was delicious. The waiter came by asking if we wanted dessert. He mentioned that the desserts are made from scratch every morning. With both of our stomachs maxed, we decided to order the carrot cake to go. My wife was tempted to try the carrot cake while I was driving, and gave me a piece. If I weren't diabetic, I would have snatched that cake from my wife and eaten the whole slice of cake. We will be back with the family. I highly recommend you try this place. The steaks come close to the Golden Steer in Vegas.

Not terrible or awful, but bordering on being a nuisance in regards to time to table. That being said, the food quality was lacking. That is the issue. And it only matters because this restaurant is larping as a fine dining experience. I frequent vegas restaurants who pay more for overhead and location and their quality is far superior and similarly priced. The water tasted awful. Basically, If I could describe it, it tasted tainted by river. Like a swampy dirty smell with every sip. I basically stopped drinking any water during my whole dining experience there for this reason. Granted, it could have been my particular glass was dirty, or partially washed. It may just be that the water isn't filtered and it is tap. However after tasting my wife's, hers tasted similar albeit not as strong. The problem is, the tri-state area has the worst tap around. Everyone knows this. This wouldn't be a big deal if this was dennys. The problem is, like I said, this place is masquerading as a fine dining experience. It should be held to that standard. The minimum would be filtered water. So it's either a problem with the dish washer or the water itself is poor quality. Or they get the water from the casino bar which are notoriously bad quality in laughlin. Next we go to the meat itself. It may be that it was lacking because I went on their discount day, which I was unaware that it was, the special was a "prime" Rib for a good price if you get the package with the baked potato. Which is fine, but it may be on that day they use choice meat instead of prime to get a better margin for price and so they can sell more. That being said, I still ordered the full price prime rib, not the special. It still lacked in quality. Seemed very tough and full of connective tissue. Ordered medium rare. Alas it was Grisly. Which is indicative of lesser quality meat selection. Likely choice/select cuts, not true prime. I don't mind, but they are charging vegas quality restaurant prices but not in vegas. The quality needs to match. I don't understand the high reviews here because I gave this place 3 chances and this sadly was the third. I won't return ever again. You can get better quality if you just enjoy a drive to vegas. I thought it may have been a fluke but now I realize that is the norm there. There is some good but not worth a return. The asparagus and potatoes were cooked wonderfully. However, I don't go to a restaurant for their garnish dishes. I go for their proteins. We paid full price and I didn't bother to complain to the servers because it isn't their fault. I just won't come back.

We assumed there was a restaurant, I'm sure, but didn't realize that this would fast become one of our favorite places to dine when in Laughlin. Service here has not let us down, so friendly and personable. We always have fun banter with the staff and they all seem to enjoy their jobs. Besides friendly, service is fairly quick too. Food is served timely and drinks refilled quickly. We are not a fan of the weird bread they serve prior to dinner. I love Kings Hawaiian bread but not with whatever the topping is here... doesn't go together for us. But it is different and apparently draws people in for it! It's fine that we don't eat the bread... we certainly don't need it. The food here is healthy portions and really delicious! My favorite is the crab and shrimp scampi, makes everyone at the table jealous too. So yummy!! I'm not a big steak/meat eater and there are plenty of terrific options for me here. Others that I've dined with really love their prime rib and grilled steaks, no disappointments there. One suggestion is that they should use bleu cheese dressing on their Wedge Salad... that is what the wedge salad is all about, not ranch. Have the option at least. So even though we don't do the bread and wish there was a different dressing on the wedge... we are still extremely happy when we choose Stockman's for dinner! Dinners will run you $25-50, then add on any drinks or desserts. Oh speaking of dessert, there is creme brulee and a chocolate cake called a "lovers dome" which is big enough to share (if you want *wink*) I teetered between the 4 and the 5 stars on this review... but I think overall it rates higher towards the 5 than the 4. So I'm landing on 5. Don't steer me wrong, Stockmans! CHEERS!!
