    Crab Pretzel

Disappointed in my first time ordering. Had to go back to get the crab pretzels they forgot to send in my order. Cold, dry and definitely not much crab in it. The size of 3 pretzels about 3 inches each but very very little crab in it. I could not even taste it.

Big portions of comforting food, served very unassuming, with a general lack of seasoning. We enjoyed the pork tacos, though we wished there was some heat, and the Shepards Pie, while served extremely hot and fresh, desperately needed some salt. That said, if we lived in town, the Governors' Pub would be a go-to. It's just a perfect little hole in the wall, neighborhood joint, and I am sure if we were regulars, we'd learn where they keep the hot sauce.

Service was so great! I wish i remembered who served me. But very fast! Food was great :) would go again and try something else! So many awesome menu options!

Governor's Pub is the way to go! This place has such a cute set up and decorated nicely. Our server was kind and prompt. The menu options are delish, prices are fair, and the portion sizes are reasonable. Highly recommend and will be coming back! The bread pudding melts in your mouth. The fish & chips were quality and I loved the fries. Everyone at our table of 5, enjoyed their plates.

This is a great pub in the heart of Bellefonte for food and drinks. There's a nice patio area as well, which is fun on a nice day out. To start off, I ordered the Spinach Flatbread ($9.99), which was so creamy and cheesy. If you like spinach artichoke dips, this one is all that on some flatbread. I also liked the addition of the balsamic drizzle for a sweet and tangy flavor. For my main dish, I got the Barber Burger ($15.99) with fries. The burger was good, but the roll was a bit too heavy. Of course the fries were a great choice with lots of flavoring. To end the meal, we opted for the Bread Pudding ($7.50), which was so warm and gooey --felt like home. Everything's got that homemade feel paired with the friendly service makes this a great spot in this quaint town.

We booked a 1pm lunch yesterday for 7 at Governor's Pub in Bellefonte. It was a PSU graduation celebration and they didn't disappoint. Our table was ready and our service was excellent. From drinks to sandwiches everything was timed perfectly and very hot. I had a Reuben and we also had Cesar salad, chili and more. Cuban cigars for an appetizer were very good. Drinks were delicious and plentiful. Great way to end 4 years at State College

Nice bar selection, little bit of everything. Friendly service. Ordered what the waitress told me to - fish and chips and special Ruben. No hienz ketchup, so bad.

Very friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. The ONLY "negative" comment I can say is that I the Rueben had very little dressing on. Other than that, I would HIGHLY recommend this place.

Food was delicious made from scratch items. Fries were fresh cut! Good array of choices of sandwiches, salads, and entrees. Server was cheerful and very helpful! But what we enjoyed the most was the cozy atmosphere - like we were sitting around the table at home. Pic is of the chicken because there was such a large portion! We ate all of the fish and chips and the Reuben. Blueberry cobbler for dessert was scrumptious!

We Just moved to Bellefonte a few months back. We are trying out our new town's restaurants. And Governors Pub was great! We went here for date night. We got The Cigar rolls, Barber burger, and Pulled pork dip. Service was great. Atmosphere was great. The Cigar rolls were a tasty appetizer with a soy sauce dip. Definitely recommend. Burger is a 1/2 lb. And comes with fries. I liked the Barber burger. Only thing I didn't care for would be the fries. The fries had a generous amount of dried Rosemary on them. I think maybe a light dusting of it is good. There was a lot. That is my only complaint. Then the pulled pork dip sandwich was good but probably would try something different next time. I would definitely go back here again. Also liked that they had malt vinegar on hand for the fries.

It's very family friendly so expect lots of kids and not a lot of supervision. The food I've had was fine- it's a brewery so I don't expect fine dining. The beer is mid from what I'm told. So are the cocktails. Again, you go for the ability to be social and have a good time.

Due to this, they only had fans to keep cool while circulating the outdoor air. Since we had our pup with us, we were only able to sit in the patio area, but it's not like the "indoor" area was really indoors. Anyways, I wasn't in the mood for drinking, so just had some lunch here. There's two restaurants combined at the food counter (which used to be food trucks here). You can get pizza from pizza and subs from Flo Bros Pizza and wings, burgers and sandwiches from Marin Eats. I had the Crabcake Sandwich ($15) with Tots (+$2). The sandwich was solid and tots were crispy. It's a nice space to hang out with a group. There are pinball machines, cornhole, and games for entertainment. It's nicely situated next to a creek, so you get a bit of nature too.

After cruising several on Yelp, she decided on Robin Hood brewing. I'm so happy she did! We walked in and sat at the bar. Our bartender, I wish I could recall her name, did a terrific job welcoming us and getting us started for dinner. We ordered adult beverages and pretzel bites with the beer cheese to start. I ordered their American IPA while my wife ordered their cherry chill, a seasonal drink. I thought the beer was absolutely tasty and delicious! The pretzel bites came out relatively quickly and were amazingly delicious along with the beer cheese. For our main courses, I ordered the Southwest chicken salad with balsamic vinaigrette instead of their Sriracha ranch and my wife ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza. Again, our meals came out relatively quickly and my Southwest chicken salad was extremely well presented! All of the flavors came together and complemented each other in my salad! I really enjoyed it! My wife thought her slice of pepperoni was fairly good though the crust could've been a little bit more done. As for the cherry chill, it was a little too sweet. That said, it was a terrific visit and if we were in the area, we definitely would be back!

I had a brisket sandwich, wife had a really immense chicken salad. My son had a ruben sandwich and I can't remember what my daughter had. However, all the food was really great and I really did enjoy myself. After lunch my daughter took me to the Rusty Rail store and I bought a nice T-shirt. If you do buy a T-shirt, I want to say, while the shirts are great, wash up nice and feel really comfortable, make sure you buy an upsized shirt. Normally I take a large but I decided on an XL and I am glad I did because after washing the XL fits perfectly. And I got to speak with (I think either the manager or owner) about the music they were playing. They were playing songs from my favorite singer, Bob Seger. I have every Bob Seger song he ever published on either, CD, Cassette Tape (yeah, still got one that works), or vinyl record. Told him he needs to check out the Bob Seger song Little Victories. I actually have a vinyl record with just that song. It is the large 78 version. That was a rare find and I actually found that in Germany in the mid 80's. The song says a lot. Anyway, after speaking with the man, my daughter said I could pick out and mix my own six pack of beer. Let me tell you, Rusty Rail makes some really, really fantastic beer. I would have to say my two faovrites are Wolf King, a stout with coffee & oatmeal and the other is Fool's Gold, Peanut Butter Hefeweizen. Oh my God, those two are absolutely great beers. I should be living in Mifflinburg because I would be making a weekly stop at the Rusty Rail. And for all you ex-military people, the Rusty Rail does give a discount to military. I hope my kids take me to the Rusty Rail again next year. Oh, in case I did not say it. The kids took mom and dad to the Rusty Rail and the Wild Animal Sanctuary as a gift for our birthday's and Mother's Day and Father's Day. It just so happens my wife was born on Mother's Day and I was born the day after Father's Day. The atmosphere of the Rusty Rail is great, it is simply a real nice place to socialize. And as a compliment to the Rusty Rail, I want to add this. When I go out to eat, one of the first things I do is use the restroom. Why? To see how clean the restrooms are. If a venu's restrooms are dirty, find another place because if they can't keep the restrooms clean, then they don't care about your food much either. The restrooms at the Rust Rail were immaculately clean. JUST TO BE CLEAR, THE RESTROOMS AT THE RUSTY RAIL ARE IMMACULATELY CLEAN. Thank You Rusty Rail for a wonderful time with my family.

Now to the food.. cauliflower appetizer made as General Tso was one other best cauliflower in my entire life. Lightly fried, not mushy, but with exact chicken like texture in divine sauce, kicking spicy with sweet undertones. In the same way not overpowering to forget about cauliflower itself. A+ for that dish!!! Pirogi was a little doughy on my opinion, but taste was good. Asian bowl with salmon had great flavor profile: cabbage salad was beautiful and freshly crisp, carrots were marinated perfectly with slight vinegary flavors, bok choy was unbelievably delicious. I asked for medium salmon, mine was almost well done, but taste was good and rice in the middle wasn't sticky and flavorful, but had watery texture and was bland. Overall, this is an amazing festival of flavors and technically challenging menu. Bravo!!!
