I live in the neighborhood, so come here fairly regularly. The coffee is delicious, the pastries are great and the staff is always friendly and helpful. I have made my way through all of the flavors of lattes and they are wonderful. Vanilla and caramel are my favorites, although the cardamom is also up there. I have also tried a cappuccino, which was fantastic as well. The pastries and the cookies pair nicely with the coffee and I especially recommend the Mixed Berry Scone or the Berry and Ginger Danish. This is a great place to stop in for a caffeine boost or to sit and relax for a while. Great shop, great staff and fantastic coffee!

Once we arrived inside, we were greeted warmly by the employees and they kindly instructed us to let them if we had any questions. My boyfriend and I first looked at their menu to see what they had and I love how their menu is themed! They also have lots of pastries both savory and sweet. I got their blackberry Faywild soda (their take on a Italian soda) and pumpkin pie macaron which was tart and delightful. Y'know, there is so much that made us all chip in. It includes the following..., but the real reason is that JJ really put's himself out there. He wants to know you and let you know him. He has built a huge community of us who love coffee for sure, but also who love JJ! Those other reasons include: -The best espresso from Spella - Drinks like his spin on the shakeratto that are as much performance art as drink - Free, free, free! Biscuits for all the good doggos and hot cocoa for the kiddos (with shaved chocolate, marshmallows, and handmade whipped cream on top!) - hand made gelato of his own making including flavors like maple, scorpion pepper, and so much more! - awesome smoothies and granita - the best chai in Portland (or anywhere that isn't India - such wonderful fellow customers, an international and eclectic lot, from car mechanics to software engineers. I loved my husband's mocha and my shakerato was a standout! I saw other people get iced drinks and they looked amazing too! The service is top notch and JJ is so kind. He can have all of my money.
