Hada really great time here. We got the Viet Coffee, Ube Latte and a Pandan and Ube mochi doughnut. The Ube donut was good and popular and almost sold out at 12pm on a Thursday. It was $3.5 for one which was affordable. The Ube latte had a more coffee flavor than Ube but it was good, refreshing and a nice morning pick me up. Pandan doughnut wasn't super strong and more on the chewier side. It was a good mix of both worlds. Overall it was $21.5 for two drinks and two doughnuts which was pricey but well worth a try. Service was really sweet! Our barista had two aussies as well and gave us some beef liver which Ellie enjoyed. Lots of parking in the residential neighborhood and some more to see in the area.

Portland Ca Phe is a great spot to grab a drink and a quick bite. This Vietnamese-owned cafe has a solid selection of coffee, matcha, and banh mi to choose from. To get here, street parking will be the best option and there is a good amount of it directly outside the shop. Inside, they have a nice cozy interior with a lot of seating options. Wifey and I ended up getting a House Special Banh Mi and a Black Sesame Chai. Everything that we had was amazing and all of the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Portland Ca Phe is Viet gang approved!

Decent Vietnamese coffee shop that sells banh mi and the best mochi donuts. Pretty pricy banh mi at $11 and drinks - $7+ for specialty drinks plus add another $0.75 for oat milk. We found their drinks to be on the very sweet side. Will have to ask about customizing sweetness level. Pretty small interior, just a few tables along the wall across from the counter, plus bar seating by the front entrance window. They did have a few tables outside as well. There's a small parking lot and plenty of free street parking. Overall, I'd come back for the donuts.

i LOVE a fun tasty drink. when i looked at the menu, i was torn between the ube latte and the cookie butter latte. i ended up going with the ube latte which was so cute and yummy without being overly sweet. it was the perfect ratio of ube to coffee. the barista was also so friendly, we had a little chat about tattoos, which i always enjoy. i'll definitely have to go back soon to try some of their other fun drinks !

Okay drinks. Disappointing service. I won't be back and would not recommend this location simply because of the treatment from the male worker (short, mustache, round glasses, beanie). He was curt, impatient, and acted like he didn't want to be there. I felt so unwelcome. He gave no greeting, had RBF, and did not acknowledge my thank you. I ordered the seasonal maple pecan latte which was fun but too sweet. The Vietnamese coffee was bitter. Seeing that so many others have had poor service experiences here, it's clear the employees need attitude checks ASAP.

Iced strawberry matcha and coconut iced latte

While on the hunt for a good matcha on the east side, I stumbled upon Portland Ca Phe. The strawberry iced matcha was absolutely beautiful as it was served, but I definitely recommend fully mixing it to experience the best flavor. I'd give it an 8/10. I also made the last second decision to try the coconut iced latte. I'm a sucker for anything coconut. Unfortunately, the coffee was a bit of a letdown compared to the matcha. It still tasted like a nice quality latte and wasn't too sweet, but the coconut flavor was extremely subtle. I probably wouldn't have detected the coconut flavor at all if it wasn't in the drink's name. I would definitely come back for another matcha if I'm ever in the area, but I'd skip the coffee. The staff were very friendly and there was a good amount of seating in the cafe. Parking was a bit limited.

I saw a video on YouTube about someone exploring the different Coffee shops in Portland and Portland Ca Phe was on the list . I was intrigued and wanted to try them out by myself to find the truth of the matter . I got an Ube Latte and my hubby got the black sesame Chai . The ube latte was unusual to say the least , and I am not sure if I really liked it or if it was the novelty of the flavors. The Black sesame chai was spicy and we both really liked it. We also got the Teriyaki Chicken Banh mi which tasted fantastic. Staff was friendly and walked me through all the flavors before I settled on one. I think the prices are at par with most specialty coffee shops in Portland.

I came here one afternoon. The staff were friendly, it's a small but nice shop. They also sold donuts from HeyDay and Banh Mi's too. I ordered an iced black sesame chai. I like black sesame and I also like chai, however, this drink wasn't for me. I wasn't a fan of the combination of the flavors for some reason. They have other drinks like coffees and specialty drinks too. I might have just gotten the wrong one this time. There's street parking here.

I have been wanting to come here for a while and finally made it on a cloudy Sunday afternoon. Sorry I was too busy chatting with friends and did not take pictures of my drink or the yummy mango mochi donut. But the space is cozy with high ceilings and lots of homey decor. Definitely come here for your next coffee date and try something new like their signature coconut coffee!

Coffee beans, latte, and pork banh mi.

Cute coffee shop. Got a delicious latte. They also sell banh mi. Though the veggies were fresh, the banh mi was dry and the pork was extremely tough and chewy, like it had been microwaved a couple times. Would skip the banh mi next time.

Been wanting to go here now for a while. Great little spot that offers some excellent coffee and banh mi. I had the iced Ca Phe Sua which was very delicious. My friend had the hot one and we didn't think it was as good (and took a lot longer to make). I'd stick with the iced one. I didn't have a chance to try their banh mi yet but I will update when I do!

Unexplainable appalling service by lone male staff. Quiet inside, only one person sitting inside with a laptop, there was no rush line or phone ringing. So why the impatient frowning? Ordered an Ube and Americano. Drinks almost slid at us with attitude. No gratitude attitude. The guy's heated mannerisms were displaying nothing professional. We were stunned and upset from the counter experience which made the drinks unenjoyable. Thumbs down.

Great place, came during a roadtrip during thanksgiving up from san francisco and it was a pleasant spot. It was also the only place open on thanksgiving which was kinda great. #goasianrestaurants for being open on major federal holidays in the us. I got the ube latte which was amazing and the interior was really really cute. Definitely stop by if you're in the area

We took a last-morning stroll through downtown Portland and, on the walk back to our hotel,…read morerealized we wanted something warm and a short pause. That's how we ended up at Courier Coffee Roasters and it turned out to be the perfect pit stop. The shop itself is small and unassuming, but the moment we walked in it felt inviting and calm. The staff was genuinely wonderful. My partner ordered an Americano and was asked which cup he preferred, two different styles. He asked if they were the same size, and that simple question turned into the most endearing moment. Since the barista didn't know, she checked the bottoms of the cups for size markings (no luck), then filled one with water to see if it would pour evenly into the other, and finally put them on the scale. Verdict: same size. The curiosity and genuine desire to give us a real answer was just lovely. I ordered a hojicha tea, which was very well prepared and hit the spot. My partner said his coffee was smooth and really good. We also grabbed a pear muffin, nicely done, with generous chunks of pear (skin on, which I loved). My partner ordered a chocolate chunk cookie, which disappeared quickly. There was a record player on the counter with a mellow morning album playing, adding to the relaxed feel. The whole space and everyone working there felt warm, friendly, and welcoming. If you live nearby or are visiting like we were, this is a great place to slow down, warm up, and enjoy genuinely good coffee, tea, and hospitality.

The menu looked intriguing, so we decided to give it a try. The café itself is airy, bright, and beautifully decorated with l blue accents. It's also in a convenient location with street parking, making it an easy place to stop for coffee at most times during the day. There was only one person working, which meant the wait was a little longer than expected since a few people were ahead of us. it was clear they were working as quickly as they could, and they handled the rush well. I ordered the Black Sesame Latte, while my husband went with the Lavender Sea Salt Foam Latte. Both drinks were enjoyable, but neither completely lived up to their potential. I could taste subtle notes of black sesame, but the flavor was so restrained that it never really became the star of the drink. I was hoping for a much bolder, nuttier profile. The lavender latte fared better and floral notes came through nicely, and the sea salt foam was well executed. At $8-9 per drink, though, I expected a little more. With so many excellent specialty coffee shops in the Portland and Beaverton area, the competition is tough. They have creative ideas and unique flavor combinations, but I think the execution could be stronger to truly stand out.
