I wanted to hate this place. Instead I think the food is reasonable for the price. I've had burgers twice the price that weren't half as good. The good: Although small, the way this burger is constructed makes sense. Good, fresh ingredients with a nice crunch and somewhat decent hamburger patty. The price is right. $6 for a single. A square deal in today's insane landscape. The bad: the bun sucks. Like most burgers out there, the bun lacks in freshness and ingredients. Bake your own buns. Also, the sauce can be annoying. Yet, the pickles are thick and good. I would come again if in the area.

I was working near the area and saw the dollar tacos sign. Decided to stop by and I'm glad I did. The staff were fast and friendly. I only had their dollar tacos but I'm looking forward to return and try their burgers. It's a small place in a corner but in a nice area.

Good snack. Surprisingly spicy. Perfect for a stop and go. They have limited seating with tables attached to the "hut".

"Do you remember the time...?" Remember that song Michael Jackson sung!? Let's go Back... waaaaaaay back ... but further back now.... To 1947... when this place used to sling burgers and fries... they only started doing the tacos and loaded fries now for the last 7 years but decided to keep the Great name... You know what else went back in time?! Here!? The prices... Taco Tuesday tacos will set you back just one dollar a taco for their delicious carne asada (I got 5 spicy) or chicken meat choices... Need a zing!? A ring a ding ding!!! Get them spicy... But be careful ... they don't play so don't go over my recommended amount of 5 spicy Tacos or pay the price to Montezuma and his vengeful ways... You know what I'm sayin... the Chili's don't play... I got some non spicy Chicken and they were ALSO delicious AF... Ok?! Now if you wanna know what else they're famous for here... it's their loaded fries... Three meat toppings choices and three salsa choices... what more could you ask for ?! This place is kinda dangerous ... sitting on a corner next to a pharmacy and a Beer Brat Garden ... on October could land you in a heap of trouble... But the pharmacy is there to save the day ... so no harm no foul... "Do you remember the time"... isn't that Michael Jackson song from that DANGEROUS Album... I knew this place..would have me whistling these "throwback" songs and prices...but remember it ain't throwback Thursday at the Great White... it's on Tuesday's if you want those Taco Tuesday's at throwback prices... let's go back ... waaaay back!! Just remember this place is kinda Dangerous... so be chill... and come with your crunched up dollars... and save your street credit...!!! Ya feel me?! PS this place takes Apple Pay and credit cards ... so charge away ... But no moonwalking allowed... unless you're good at it...

    Breakfast Burrito

3/5 I was looking forward coming here as the photos looks good online. Hi Hello or Hi, it was more like...what do you want atmosphere. The burrito was decent flavored but not the best. It was loaded with beans, fries, ground meat, etc. as soon as I grabbed it broke apart. Had to ask for utensil to scope the broken pieces. Service was fast but it was more of business mentality look. Not very welcoming. They was no sauce offered for the burrito and no straw for the drink. This place is more like order your food and gtfo and leave. They need to improve their service. The area is right on the street corner where you can park anywhere.

Well, I was trying to avoid updating the rating because I like the concept of the place - little hut open when you get hungry late nights, very convenient. And the food is just ok, half of the time. But they keep hiking the prices up like we all have money printers at home. Long story short - a single taco is almost $3 now. Yes, a regular little taco is almost $3. Actually probably over $3 if you include taxes. Just look at my photos, that's a $1.5, maybe $1.8 taco at most. These guys creep the prices every few months seems like. Anyways, that combined with pretty inconsistent quality, probably one of worst taco deals on Tuesdays (read my earlier reviews if interested), bad salsa, and the fact that every time I get food from here at least one thing has to be wrong, looses a star for me. If I could give 3.5 stars I would, but it's definitely closer to 3 than 4 for me, so 3 stars it is. I mentioned in my first review that I liked the California Burrito but the last 2 times I got it it was mushy and kind of flavorless, so maybe the first two times I lucked out? Or the other way around ‍ P.S. Aren't we all tired of how restaurants just keep gouging prices? We all do grocery shopping ok, prices went up maybe like 20% in the past 5 years but some establishments more than doubled their prices. Stop being greedy.

I used to work in the Glendale area and would always pass by this stand for the Great White. Decided to try it again after 8+ years and it did not disappoint. It's located on the corner of W California St and N Orange St., and literally just the stand, but you can't miss it with the red and white tops with high top seating around. You can either order at the terminal or via a QR code and ordering through your phone. It wasn't busy at the time I went which was right after our showing at the Nocturn. I placed an order on the terminal for The Classic fries, Carne Asada burrito, and a double cheeseburger. The fries were my favorite among the items I ordered. Plenty of carne asada, cilantro, and lots of garlic aoli sauce. The meat was seasoned well, creamy and garlicky aoli was great with bites of cilantro. Delicious. The burger and burritos were decent too. Lots of meat and beans in the burrito with onions and cilantro, the double cheeseburger was pretty standard as well. Overall a great spot for burgers, fries, or bltacos burritos. Definitely eat it as fresh as you can.

Good spot by Hollywood. The fries were tasty as was the burger. Tried the burrito a different time also good. Would recommend a try and worth a slight detour.

Made a phone order and he repeated it back correctly over the phone. Receipt is correct but the burger was completely wrong. By the time I got back home and opened it they were already closed so I couldn't do anything about it.

Lovely, old fashioned diner with exposed brick walls, distressed furniture and a mix of old and new American decor. Very comfortable and homey. The best part was the food though. The chef doesn't know it's a diner apparently. I had a lovely chicken piccata that was superb! The only thing I didn't do was lick the plate clean, it was so good. Fare you'd expect from a nice Italian bistro. They have a devil's den full of desserts they make, too. I had a banana cream pie that was ridiculously good, along with an excellent coffee. They have a full coffee bar as well as the dessert bar. Service was terrific and the pricing was moderate for the quality. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with a large menu filled with American comfort food favorites. We have a ballgame to go to mid August. We are going to eat early dinner here before the game. If you go during the breakfast/brunch rush on the weekends, def take a few deep breaths as there can be a wait. Often, the patio fills up quite quickly. But sometimes it's just the luck of arriving at the perfect moment. As far as the entrees are concerned, I particularly like the Chile Stuffed Skillet when I'm craving a savory breakfast meal. It's made with a pasilla pepper stuffed with bacon, cheddar, and a poached egg. It's baked it in an iron skillet on top of potatoes, and it's topped off with ranchera sauce and sour cream. And let me tell ya, those house-made biscuits are amazing. Warm, crumbly, and melt in your mouth like a good biscuit should. The house-made jams are also a nice treat and feel like having a sample of grandma's (or mom's) kitchen. On of my visits, a friend ordered the Banana Bread French Toast, and it made me wish I had two stomachs so that I could eat that as well. But like a good friend, she noticed that I was eyeing her breakfast like a puppy dog begging from scraps. So she was gracious enough to split some and do a trade with one of my biscuits. I think the trade was quite fair. Next time, we agreed to go halfsies on the Corn Flake Crusted French Toast because they're really exceptional, and the Morning Quiche (which is only served on the weekends).

Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café…read more Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café reminded me that we live for the wonderful experiences that remain to be discovered. After a wonderful lunch date with my wife at Raffi's Place (please read my review and thank me later) in Glendale, I decided to look for the perfect dessert. After scouting several nearby locations, I decided I was in the mood for a great cinnamon roll. Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café looked like the place that would deliver the experience I was seeking. SDLBC is listed as being in Glendale, but it's located in the historic Old Town of Montrose. That's beside the point; I only mention it because there are additional places to explore just up the street. We arrived around 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and there wasn't much of a selection left, including the highly sought-after cinnamon roll. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us warmly, and I immediately asked if that was all the pastries they had. He said yes. I contemplated leaving because of the nonexistent cinnamon roll, but I didn't want to be rude, so I decided to give the bakery a try since we were already there. So, we basically took half of what remained behind the glass display case: a Peach Almond Croissant, a Raspberry Pistachio Croissant, an Almond Croissant, and then my curiosity focused on a few lonely-looking pastries that were unfamiliar to my discerning eyes. I asked the gentleman what they were, and he replied with something that sounded completely foreign to me: Kouign-Amann. Kouign-Amann (pronounced queen ah-MAHN) is a traditional pastry from the region of Brittany, France. It is often considered one of the richest pastries in the world because it is made with just a few simple ingredients in generous proportions: bread dough, butter, and sugar. Figuring we needed a few more sweets for the road, we took all the remaining Kouign-Amanns. Two were the traditional version, and the other two were filled with crème and blueberry jam. We also ordered a Café Americano and a Café Mocha. While we waited for our drinks, I simply couldn't wait any longer. Like a kid on Christmas morning, I eagerly opened my gift and dug right into the Kouign-Amann. Hesitantly, I tore off a tiny piece with my fingers, expecting nothing extraordinary, and instantly gave birth to a brand-new experience that exploded in my mouth. The crisp exterior gave way to the soft, flaky center, followed by waves of what tasted like delicate honey. I tore off another piece and shared it with my wife. One look at her eyes told me she wanted more. By the time our drinks were ready, we had devoured one of the Kouign-Amanns and confessed to the gentleman behind the counter that we had just experienced pure ecstasy in the form of a pastry. Kouign-Amann is, in fact, one of the richest pastries in the world, so don't let the unfamiliar name keep you from trying one. The Café Americano and the Café Mocha were also exceptionally well prepared. With everything that's happening in the world these days, a simple yet profound experience like this reminded me how wonderful life can still be. Like Arnold said... "I'll be back." Enjoy!

Walking inside, the restaurant had a beautiful hacienda-style atmosphere with comfortable seating. We arrived right when they opened, so it wasn't busy. The dining room was very clean, and the restrooms were spotless as well. I ordered the combo plate with two items: a chile relleno and a shredded beef enchilada with red sauce, served with rice and beans. The chile relleno was perfection! I loved that it was fluffy, not greasy, and incredibly flavorful. As for the enchilada, I really enjoyed the shredded beef. The red sauce wasn't very spicy, which I prefer. I love a flavorful enchilada sauce without too much heat. Some restaurants make their sauce overly spicy, but this one was just perfect. The rice and beans were also excellent. The rice was soft and fluffy, not dry or hard, and the beans were well-seasoned without being overly salty like they are at many other restaurants. I truly enjoyed every bite of my meal. My best friend ordered the combination plate with one item: a shrimp enchilada with green sauce, served with rice and beans. She absolutely loved her meal and already wants to come back.
