I finally tried a hamburger here recently and found it very mediocre: bland, flavorless meat and an uninspired bun. I didn't sample other menu items, but the burger alone was enough to convince me I won't be returning. This chain has been around for more than 70 years and clearly appeals to plenty of people, given its many locations. Before you read this, know I feel absolutely terrible saying all this. We got two cheeseburger combos and asada fries. First of all the person taking our order was chill but told me the "buy one get one free" for the football thing was not a thing through UberEats. I was confused because they had a GIANT sign on their window promoting that and I was on UberEats and their bogo was active. Then I ordered on UberEats two meals for 30% off and he asked to see it and said it won't work. I had already ordered and heard the order noise come through in the store. He took my receipt and then said "I'll check if it works" bro it works if you got the order it's already been paid for! I didn't say that but we all thought that (people with me). The burgers get soggy fast, the lettuce and onions were not fresh. The fries tasted like they were doused in sugar and the asada fries were huge very generous however everything tasted watered down. Well that left a bad taste in my mouth.... I love great white hut, I was in the area and was TRYING TO CALL AT 11 pm since they close at midnight and rather CALL IT IN then drive there, make them make it, then wait so they could ideally get out on time. I tried several times and they ignored the phone. I get to the store and the sign says open and the door is locked..... Okay..... One of the customers inside was trying to open the door for me and LITERALLY HAD TO TWIST THE DEADBOLT TO LET ME IN. Basically the workers locked it from the inside because they didn't want to take anymore orders -_- That's super rude and super unprofessional. I've been a returning customer I've gone to most of their locations and NEVER HAVE I EXPERIENCED such poor and selfish customer service. It's funny since I'm usually a good tipper and a friendly person but they actually seemed genuinely annoyed to even take my order.... Honestly I hope the owner sees this I came by 7-11-2025. Super solid carne asada fries and we got a good BOGO deal as we ordered pick up through doordash. The downsides of this location are the limited seating and no bathroom. The parking lot is sufficient for a few cars, you could street park or go to the vons next door. I had been craving carne asada fries which was our original reason for coming. The fries were super crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, just how I like 'em. I got the fiesta fries because I am a spice fiend and they came with minced jalapeño and a hot sauce on top. The fries also had finely grated cheddar cheese which gave them a nutty flavor and made the fries stick together in bunches making it all the more delicious. I just think it could have done with more of a cheesy sauce to bring them all together, but I still enjoyed it much the same. I come to this place quite often ever since discovering it. The burgers are generally really good. The bun is normally very toasted and firm and the meat tasty. The fries are always a hit or miss, probably 2/5 times they're good. Today I had a bad experience and I would have refrained from leaving a review but I called over 6 times to voice my concerns and no one picked up. It would ring sometimes more than other times which tells me they are conscious of the phone and do not want to pick up. Today my burger was completely mushy greasy to the point that even the paper wrapping was wet which was gross but I had faith nonetheless. Well I was wrong because the meat was undercooked and the bread was waaay mushy. This sucks because my favorite part of coming here was the firm toasty bun. Aside from the burger the fries tasted like crap /: They were obviously refried and tasted like old oil which if anyone knows leaves a real bad taste in the mouth. We ordered the cheese quesadilla and the mega carne asada fries both at mild spicy. Although it was unfortunate that they do not offer free water here. Once we got our order, the portions definitely looked a lot and heavy! Digging into the carne asada fries, honestly we didn't really like it too much. It oddly tasted sour (probably because of the pico de gallo?), and everything was just getting kinda soggy. There was a lot more toppings than there were fries. I wish the sauces were more balanced out because there would usually be too much sauce of one and the other. Then with the quesadilla, there were a lot of onions in there, but it oddly tasted better with the carne asada fries, probably because of all the sauce lol. Although, eating it both together just made it taste like everything tastes the same. The quesadilla also had this odd taste of cinnamon? Overall, it felt like all the ingredients together just tasted really off or really odd to us.
