Every time we visit this resort The Green Cabin Room is a little bit different. Different drinks, appetizers, etc. On our most recent trip, we enjoyed innovative drinks (chocolate margarita) and a few simple appetizers while taking in the gorgeous view and evening breeze on the outside deck. A big bonus was the Disney movie playing on the lawn below us - it was quite fun to watch it from our table. Right now The Green Cabin Room is also offering really fun drink classes every afternoon. Great place to grab a beverage and sit out on the patio to watch the waves rolls along the shore or on windy/cooler night, sit inside and enjoy the warmth. We went two nights in a row and had great service from the bartenders both night. On select afternoons at 4pm, they do classes (you must register for class ahead of time). We attended the rum adventure and learned a lot about the resort as well as the rums and the history of the area. I don't recall the price but we ended up with three drinks by the end of the event. Well worth the cost! One of the drinks on their regular menu right now is called a Smoked turkey. It was delicious!! read more

Only reason I didn't give them a 5 star was the kids running around the expensive bar...expected at "a Disney resort" I guess. $17 for drinks is stiff, even when they are this pretty. Charcuterie board was tastey, drinks were strong (on the second round), and the staff was awesome. 2 rounds of drinks and the snack were $89 but the pure beauty view of Vero Beach, birds, and dolphins was worth every penny. We have not been to the resort for roughly 4 years and do much had changed. The Green Room is basically the same except they no longer carry any real food. You can always pick something up at the Market downstairs and bring it up. Everyone at the resort is required to wear a mask during this time and most of the guests are good about it. Every cast member has one and they keep sanitizer everywhere and do extensive cleaning. The service is quick and friendly. The prices are what you expect at Disney and probably reasonable for a bar. Social distancing is enforced and you have to sit at a table or you have to get your order to go. read more

we went for the great view on Wednesday 8/30/2022 and all we received was bad service & bad drinks...given the bad drinks we've just had and thinking about staying to enjoy the view a bit longer, I then try ordering a latte or cappuccino but the server/bartender CM from Queens, NY rudely said he "wouldn't start the coffee machine just for that because it was reserved only if I ordered a coffee martini or something like that" . My mom and I have been coming to the Green Cabin Room nightly during our Vero Beach trips since well before I was of drinking age. Some of my fAvorite memories include her playing checkers with me (which she for sure did not love) while I sipped my Shirley cocktail and she drank her martini of the night. I love this bar for its ambiance and friendly staff. I will always remember a waitress we had for years here named Helen. So was so friendly and wonderful. They have plenty of unique drinks for all cocktail aficionados. My only complaint if I have one is that drinks are pricey but it's a resort bar so I would expect this. This has been a main stay favorite of my family for years and will be for years to come. read more

Little hidden gem at the Disney Vero Beach Resort. Great way to relax/ end your evening and with a great view of the ocean if you prefer to sit outside. We had cocktails with our friends three out of our 6 evenings. Quiet night and fun nights - depending on the crowd. Some playing cards, chatting with bartender, other guests, taking pictures. We come to Vero Beach every few months and tend to eat at the Green Cabin room often, as there are not many restaurants in the near vicinity. All in all the food is pretty good, but pricey. They do have two small TV's if you want to catch a football game, but don't expect to see much. The staff is very friendly and prompt as with most Disney restaurants. Really horrible. Used to be a great place for drinks and snacks. We went on a Saturday evening just before sunset and it was practically empty. Now I understand why. It wasn't a good sign as we walked up the carpeted steps and noticed how dirty they were. So unlike the old Disney that cared about their guests' entire experience. The GCR is now only open in the evenings and the menu is extremely limited for food. We ordered the only two options on the menu, the cheese plate and the charcuterie plate. Both were a huge disappointment. The presentation was mediocre, the meats and cheeses were low quality, and the bread was STALE. We asked our server to take the bread to the kitchen and show the chef and ask him to feel it. She said she did and the chef said that's just how the bread is. Not sure if we believed her. The drinks were okay but nothing special. Service was terrible. There was some kind of kids' activity group in the lawn below the nice outdoor deck. Screaming kids galore running around the lawn. I realize this is Disney, but why schedule a kids' group activity right near the only option for oceanfront cocktails? Vero Disney has changed and it's not what it used to be. This local misses Shutters, the old Green Cabin Room, and the formerly good service. Now it's nothing but a huge, sad disappointment to visit Vero Disney. read more

About what you'd find at airports and high school cafeterias, but made to look like it's fancy, like a caricature of a nice restaurant. The best thing here is the view from the balcony overlooking the ocean. I am disappointed. Used to be much better. The ocean view is great and I like the old nautical bar feel inside. Unfortunately the food experience is terrible now, yeah it's a bar and you expect bar food like burgers, wings and flatbread. But no longer, Now they have sliders, humus, Caesar salad and popcorn. They got rid of their nice craft beer selection and only have the run of the mill stuff, their expensive mixed drink menu is the same. This was one of My favorite spots at this resort but no longer. They used to be open from breakfast until midnight, but now only opens at 5. It used to be a different place to have lunch with a great view and less kids then the pool side bar with better food options but alas Disney wants you to go to specific places to spend your money. I really liked it before because it was a great place to get away from the kids as this is a bar and although kids are allowed there was rarely any kids in here. All Disney resorts need an "adult" place for a respite for the parents or adults without kids. No reason for me to come back here although I used to love lounging around in the green cabin. Now we are all forced to get drinks at the poolside bar. Come on Disney make this place fun again! read more

The Green Cabin Room is definitely a nice hidden gem in Vero Beach. It's a small bar at Disney's Vero Beach Resort (on the 2nd level of the main building). They have a small food menu with one page of appetizers, flat bread pizzas and a burger, and a very large selection of drinks. The food is GREAT. I highly suggest the "sampler" that's made up of all their apps. It's delicious and good to split among a group of people. The service is wonderful (friendly waiters/waitresses), and the food comes out quick. You also have the option of sitting inside the bar/lounge-like area, or you can sit out on the deck and look at the water. We sat outside and really enjoyed hearing the waves while we drank/ate. read more

My friend and I were staying at Disney's Vero Beach Resort for Labor Day weekend. We decided we would like to go to trivia at the pool at 7:45 and it was a few minutes after 6. Your 4 dining choices at DVBR are the pool bar, The Green Cabin Room, Shutters, and Sonya's. We ate at the pool bar for lunch and Sonya's was pricey so we narrowed it down to Shutters and The Green Cabin Room. We picked this one because we wanted to go to trivia at 7:45 and since this was a sort of pub type place we thought it might be faster...WRONG! We arrived to a sign that said seat yourself. We grabbed an empty table. It was a solid 10 minutes before anyone even came by. We started to wonder if we had to go to the bar to get menus. Finally, after about 10-15 minutes our server came by with menus. We ordered drinks. Did he ask if we wanted a high chair or booster seat for the baby? No. He was "earning his ears.". This was a bad omen. We ordered pretzel and cheese dip app, fish and chips, and a pizza. By the time we ordered it was already after 7. I started to doubt that we would make it to trivia. When our pretzels arrived about 7:30 I knew we would not. The pretzels were quite good. The beer cheese had a nice draft flavor to it. There were 5 pretzels, so the portion was pretty large as well. When they brought our pretzels out they told me our pizza was ready too. The pizza was supposed to be my meal so I told them to wait. Before we could finish the pretzels they brought out my pizza. I wish the pizza had been hotter, though I suppose you could argue it was my fault. I told them to wait, but we had clearly ordered the pretzels as the app and the pizza/fish n chips as entrees. Whatever. Other than the temperature it was a pretty decent sized/tasting pizza for $7.99 on Disney property. I would compare it to Pizzafari at Animal Kingdom. So they brought my pizza. Where was my friend's fish and chips... nowhere to be found. Where was our waiter? Nowhere to be found. After I had finished my pizza we found the waiter and he said that her fish and chips had been dropped so they were making a new one. Well by this time we had missed trivia and it looked like we might miss mini golf too. Her fish and chips finally came and she said they were fine, but we had been in there for almost 2 hours by that point. Luckily since we ate at different time and they didn't offer us a high chair I was able to hold the baby while she ate. When all was said and done the food was mediocre. The service was horrendous. It took us nearly 2 and 1/2 hours to eat at a "pub," and there was no attempt show us any consideration for the baby such as high chair, bringing food out quicker, or bringing the check when it was now after 8:30pm. read more
