I have eaten here more than a dozen times and exceptionally great every time. 2 days ago I had their meat wrap (organic grilled chicken,olives,cucumber,tomatoes, and the most amazing fresh dill sauce) that I would eat every day if I could. Absolutely the BEST! Like it says up above, after I gave it 5 stars: "As good as it gets." I sure can't pick out just ONE thing- It's simply ALL GREAT! But the "breakfast burrito" blows the mind. I live right down the street, so I get a lot of stuff regularly; it's like an awesome extension of my own kitchen.... I really love to cook and I'm very fussy! (Even though I've turned into a major fresh fish eater, just yesterday I got a big box ($740) of a Heritage turkey and lots of other great meaty stuff from Dartagnan's... really fussy!) Another thing: Jen and her gang REALLY CARE! (Like that saying- You can pay someone to do the work, but you can NEVER pay them to CARE!) Sorry- I very rarely Rave! I will admit they have a good breakfast sandwich.....IF THEY EVER GET IT TO YOU. Last Saturday we ordered two breakfast sandwiches and a smoothie. We were still waiting 46 minutes later. We didn't want to go out to breakfast so we went here to save time...NO TIME WAS SAVED. I know people tend to be on island time, but give me a break. The saying goes "burn me once, shame on you, burn me twice shame on me" so i have no one to blame but myself. After numerous disappointing visits I swore to myself I would never go back. Then , today I suggested coffee and a friend -a regular -drove us there. Over $17 dollars for 3 drip coffees and two pastries. Wow. To be clear, I don't ask for much. I'm not picky and im not one to stir the pot. But, if you're going to charge over 3 dollars for a cup of drip at the very least give your customers coffee worth drinking. It's basically tea. Brown water with a hint of coffee essence. Never again. read more

This place is maybe for some people, but not for me. I don't like that they only make one muffin flavor for the day - absolutely no choice. Their bagels are also as flat as pancake. I find some ridiculous stuff going on in that bakery that they're proud of and repeat every day. And I think one of my biggest gripes is paying $5 for a "freshly squeezed" extremely small oj (about 6 ounces), and watching the guy add water to it. I'm an occasional visitor to Nantucket, and The Green catered a very special event of mine last week for 20+ people. An island local suggested it and I couldn't be happier with the food and the service. One of the employees showed up right on time, about 30 minutes prior to my event, and I expected them to drop everything off, but they did much more than that. They took the time to set up the entire lunch, complete with all the necessary serving ware, dining ware, and decorations. They made several batches of fresh veggie and juice blends and put them into beverage coolers. We had an assortment of fresh organic salads and sandwiches, which were delicious! My family and guests all loved the spread, and I would highly recommend their catering business to anyone looking for a very reasonable, delicious, no-hassle whole food meal. read more

If I had a dime for every time I waltzed through these doors every day to get my organic coffee and treat I'd be a wealthy person. The vegetarian egg sandwich on a freshly made bagel with Vermont cheddar, avocado, and pico de gallo is to die for. A box of fish tacos is a unique menu option and makes for a delicious and light lunch fare. Smoothies all around and wheatgrass shots to get your day started. Never mind that it's the only place on island to order vegan off the menu this time of year. The staff is professional and always on. After the umpteenth incarnation of this space I think they've hit a home run! read more

Very disappointed, I have visited The Green several times and have been very happy. I have a very restrictive diet and they have always been accomodating. The last two times very disappointed. The last visit lead me to write this review. On June 5, 2018 at 2:00 I ordered The Cliucker on gluten free wrap and a smoothie to go. when I got to my car and opened the sandwich it fell apart in my hands and i was unable to eat it. I NEVER complain but for 12.00 I decided to ask for another sandwich. Everyone can have a bad wrap once in a while, right? Not reue, I went in and they seemed a bit confused when I presented my unwrapped wrap to them, and offerred me another one. I waited while they talked about the ingediants in my wrap, and I explained again that it wasnt the ingrediants that were the problem, but the fact that it fell apart. They presented me with another UNWRAPPED WRAP. I explained that it was not wrapped an unable to eat and they young lady at the counter said that because of the filling they were unable to wrap the sandwich. I explained that i have been coming for years and never had a problem with my wrap. She said it was because it was gluten free it was unable to be wrapped. I asked what I had been eating every other time i oprdered a gluten free wrap that was wrapped? I asked for my money back and was refunded but has an owner of a business on the Island I wont be going back to The Green or referring any clients. I believe in customer service and aso close supervision of staff, this was not the case. The timebefore I ordered The Clucker and there was no sauce on it, I'm done! read more

I had a make it yourself smoothie, and I was disappointed by the blandness. I could not taste any of the fruits that I chose to put in my smoothie, but I am still giving the green four stars because I think if I had chosen fresh juice instead of yogurt It would have tasted better. When I was there I got a container of their hummus to bring home and it was great. read more
