I was looking for literally meat and some carbs so I ordered a side of gyro meat and the spicy potatos, and im so glad I did. Im big on extra meat and Im so glad they didnt skimp out on the portions of gyro meat, like most places usually do, and only for 3.99$! The spicy potatos werent really spicy but had a more basil and soury taste, which I ended up really liking definitely recommend. The potatos had a slight crisp to them and felt like there was a bollywood musical going on in my mouth with all the different textures and new flavors. Overall, I had a great experience for the short time here. There is also a nice dining area on the side where you can sit and enjoy your food. Still my favorite place for Mediterranean food. I discovered Green Olive in Torrance. When my husband found this location close to us, I was thrilled. It is inside a liquor store, but it works! They have plenty of dine-in space. Friendly service at the counter. They bring the food to you. Just put your tray and dishes away. My go-to is the chicken kabob and sometimes the shrimp. I ordered the fattoush salad while my husband ordered the falafel wrap. When we received our food, I realized my salad did not have the customary toasted Arabic flat bread on it. When I asked the cashier about it, she said that's what I ordered. I told her this isn't fattoush. She basically said this is how they make it. She asked if I wanted to order anything else instead of it, which I'd have to pay for. I declined. So not only did I not receive a proper fattoush salad, I also was not offered a refund. Upon walking Don't be Alarm, yes they share the eatery with a liquor store. I ordered I and My co-worker then Chicken Kabob Combos. Starters. The dressing on the Salad. Very delicious but I can't pint point the overall taste. Something lemonish, ranch like, source cream yogurt with a twist not thick.. The Hummus is very good, bit the Chicken on spot fresh and juicy. The rice complimented the Chicken as it was fresh and soft not Dry. Here's that oh No.. The pita bread is by far the worst add on to their meal the pita bread is more of wheat and becomes very stale Right away, and not fluffy like other Pitas and well they aren't fresh either. I called on Monday 7/1 to order a catered Greek salad for pick up on Wednesday 7/3. They told me everything was all set and I just need to give them a credit card over the phone. They charged me $38.58 for the salad. This is for pick up on Wednesday 7/3 at 1pm. They confirmed it. On Wednesday at exactly 1pm I walk in and they are closed, someone that works there told me oh they canceled all orders and they are closed. Come back Friday to talk to the manager. I told them they charged me over the phone and told me to come in at 1pm Wednesday, they never told me they canceled the order or refunded me. I refuse to ever order from here again, also will tell others not to do business here. They had such good reviews but to leave me in the dust while taking my money isn't the right way to do business. read more

Called to get clarification on their online Yelp menu and the lady on the phone was unable to answer basic questions like the weight of the meat given for the gyro 10.99 option. You either weigh it or eyeball it and she said no to either. Then how do you determine consistency? Online menu is confusing. There's an option to order pick up from yelps app and this is the photo presented with the 10.99 gyro meat. WOW I LOVE THIS PLACE! Who would of though eating inside a liquor store would be so amazing?! This is seriously a hole in the wall - my guy showed me this place & at first, I had my doubts! Man... the chicken kebab plate though!!! I opted out for the rabbit food (salad, ain't got time for that) & got the potatoes instead & they were fire!! The chicken is sooooo juicy & amazing! Babaganoush is additional .25 cents if substitute on hummus. I had the chicken kabob wrap. It was pretty good. The wrap texture was light and not dry. The chicken could've been cut smaller, however you can make that happen on your own. I had the salad as a side and it was quite fresh. The dressing mas tasty as well. Cashier was friendly and the store was clean and uncluttered. Next time I will try the spicy potatoes. The G.O. is one of those places that you just have to come in and have a bite to eat. The staff has always been really nice and the food is always on point. Don't be too surprised when you stop in that this is also a well stocked liquor store. So be sure to grab a bottle on the way out. Today I ordered the #9 Combo Trio that includes a well seasoned and cooked shrimp kabob, chicken kabob and kofta all on top of a bed of rice, a side salad, hummus and pita bread. The Green Olive never fails for fast food Mediterranean food. Their green goddess (I think) is yum! Usually order the Gyro mix plate, sub rice with tabouli. They also have a fridge of desserts brought in from a local bakery that is always a nice treat at the end of a good meal. Had the pistachio cake today that was fluffy and not too sweet. She choose the steak and salmon kebabs and she loved them, me personally can't do the salmon but my twin loves the stuff! They were able to accommodate me not eating rice, so she just substituted it for all salad...yuuuummy it was! If you ever stop by it will kind of trip you out because it's in a liquor store but they definitely can hold their own there's even tables and chairs there so you can eat there. Surprise to us after seeing a review on Long Beach Food scene that the place is a counter in the back of a liquor store! But that didn't stop us and we were so pleasantly wowed by the freshness and taste of our salad and kabob. We are on Keto and gluten free and the flavors were fantastic. It is inside a liquor store which can seem a little different however it is very convenient since you can buy drinks from the liquor as well. Overall the environment and food is great! 2 stars because the order was correct. Ordered a chicken wrap because nothing else on the menu looked appetizing. The menu said potatoes or salad. Being unfamiliar with whatever the potatoes could have been, I ordered the salad option. The order was correct. The wrap completely fell apart upon picking it up and peeling back the wrapper. There were huge chunks of tomatoes all throughout the wrap. The salad was a joke - looked like a single scoop of lettuce with dressing poured on top. It was completely wilted and looked mushy. I did not eat the salad. The side beets also looked grody and looked like a measly single scoop. The wrap was okay. Nothing great. Nothing special.
