Really enjoyed our breakfast here! The restaurant has a cute, cozy diner atmosphere. The pancakes were definitely the highlight, they were so fluffy, soft, and light. The veggie omelet was also really well done, with a great balance of eggs and veggies. It was filling without feeling too heavy. The only small thing I'd change is that the hash browns could have used a little more salt, but that's an easy fix at the table and didn't take away from the meal. My favorite part was the freshly squeezed orange juice. It tasted incredibly fresh with the perfect mix of tart and sweet. You can definitely tell it's made fresh, and I'd order it again! There was a long line, but we were added to the waitlist with our cell number and received an instant confirmation that we were officially on the list. The estimated wait time was 25 minutes, but it was closer to 15. Isis was our server at the counter, and she was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The hardest working guy in the restaurant was checking every single order as it came out of the kitchen to ensure it was perfect, then he called out the server's name for pick up. We come here pretty often, and clearly so does everyone else because there's almost always a line It's such a cute place with a retro, sunny vibe that just makes you happy to be there. Every time we visit, the service has been great. The servers are always friendly and on top of things, even when it's busy. On our most recent visit, we ordered the Crabcake Benedict (which is homemade/I always ask for the Hollandaise on the side), Hawaiian Loco Moco, + a 3-stack of hot pancakes. Some of the best French toast I have ever had and possibly the best burger around. There servers are always nice, and when they are new they are super good about asking if they don't know something. When your favorite thing about a restaurant is you wish it was open longer, they are doing something right. We had to find our own seats, and the only available booth wasn't very clean, but we decided to sit there anyway. The place was quite busy, so we waited patiently before anyone noticed us. Eventually, our server came over, cleaned our table, and brought us some coffee--she was excellent. My dad ordered the flavored blueberry hotcakes; they were smaller and had fewer blueberries compared to the ones at the Winnemucca Griddle. Great experience at The Griddle in Nampa. My daughter and I had trouble deciding on where to go for breakfast as we had come from Bend, Oregon the day before, and needed a good start of the day. We are so glad we picked The Griddle. We each had the Raspberry Crepe Combo. My daughter also had hash browns added to her plate and they were fantastic. The Crepes were so flavorful and the accompanying eggs and bacon were perfect. Christina was our server and she was so friendly and timed everything excellently. The décor is great. The servers were absolutely amazing! It was a lovely spot as well and the food was delicious. I am currently nursing and my baby has a cmpa (dairy allergy) and the server had to send it back to the cook a couple times to make sure it was correct without cheese or butter for us. I heard the waitress tell the cook dairy allergy so by no means was it her fault that they had to make it 3 times (I felt so bad!) but they did not even charge us for my meal because of the mix up and they were all so so nice about it. That made me feel great as well with how nice they were since I usually am not one to send back food but couldn't eat it like that because of the allergy but they were very quick at fixing it as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone with a food allergy, they were very accommodating! read more

We came in, party of four plus a baby and it was perfect for everyone. Extremely friendly midwest diner feel. They're open until 2 pm which tells you that they specialize in breakfast and specialize they do. I had a chorizo dish with eggs over easy and it was perfect. Portions are generous but not that weird thing where they make freakishly large portions their identity. Perfect diner coffee and OJ that tasted fresh squeezed. The Griddle prides themselves on great service and quality at all their locations and this location delivered. The staff were attentive to our needs. When our server got caught up with another table, the manager stepped up to take our order. I got the Hawaiian Loco Moco. My wife got a carnitas crepe dish. It was all delicious. This is my second time going to the griddle but the first time for most of the people in our party. We had a large party of 16. They did a good job of making room for us and we didn't have to wait too long. We tried lots of different food and it was all very good. It was a Sunday and they had their special blueberry pancakes with blueberries mixed in the dough as well as blueberry pieces dropped in the pancakes. They were absolutely delicious. Also have the special churro French toast. It was amazing. Lots of people had omelettes or eggs. They really liked them as well. We had some kids with us in the server was friendly impatient with them. I wish I could remember his name to give him a shout out. So Emily was so annoyed about taking the point phone number for last customer and she was rude to other staff but her friend was sitting at the end of the counter. Took my order and read it back including English muffin extra dark, the pic below is her opinion of dark. Heard her reread back to counter customer next to me. Burned whole wheat br interesting to see what color that comes out. She is kind to your face and once the order is over she is out and back with her friend at end of counter. Was given bill and no way to put my number for rewards on it and was so thoroughly put out she had to do that. Also Emily made SURE that I knew about cream was extra...and then forgot it when she brought the food. tip will be left blank since I sat at counter and she did the barest of service. And I am normally a heavy tipper I understand how hard the service industry is. So friendly service with an attitude. It's not like I was demanding just sitting here at counter not were the really busy. This is the first time out for me in 6 months to eat alone. Food seemed to sit in window for extended periods of time as well. Waiting around to see how dark my neighbors burnt bread request come out so the lady text me ordered the pecan french toast and after about a minute of it sitting in under the ovens or under the lights I started running a timer below you'll see the amount of time that that French toast sat under the timer. The gentleman who requested burnt toast to almost Oblivion there's a picture of that as well and then there's also a picture of all the people who were standing around while all the food was on the counter waiting to be picked up and be dispersed. It's amazing on how fast things have changed for the worse at The Griddle. We arrived last Wednesday to a 1/2 filled diner. We stood at the wait to be seated sign for almost 5 minutes before being acknowledged. We got a shout out from across the diner to take a seat at any table that was clean. Seriously? There was only one table by the door that was clean. Now I mentioned earlier, this diner was only 1/2 full with customers, why can't we be greeted and sat by the hostess and handed menus? After we sat down,, another 5 minutes had gone by, no waitress and no menus are to be found. I decided to find 2 menus at the front counter and walk them back to our table myself. After 10 minutes has gone by, (we almost walked out) our waitress shows up at our table to take our order. My wife ordered breakfast with a side order of "extra crispy" hash browns. A different waitress served us our breakfast. We both were served an identical order of undercooked hash browns. I looked at the waitress and said my wife's order of crispy hash browns looks undercooked like mine. She walked back the hash browns and we could hear her verbally yell at the cook. Now that was unnecessary! 5 minutes later her crispy hash browns arrive at our table. We never saw our waitress again. She never checked in on us, or asked how our food was. No one ever asked us if we'd like a drink refill. Very underwhelming service to say the absolute very least. We had to wave her down after waiting 15 minutes for our check. We get our check and another 10 minutes fly by waiting to pay our bill. Common people, focus! It wasn't even that busy and you really failed at our table. There were no sorry's or apologies, it seems that this restaurant was treating every customer this way. The tables surrounding me were feeling the same pain. You could hear the chatter regarding the lack of attention from their wait staff. Servers were still yelling at the customers at the door to find a clean table. One customer shouted back, "you expect me to walk around every table to find a clean one?" That was our clue to get out of there. The food served was okay, it didn't make me say wow, this wasn't great by any standards. It was just okay. It's moments like this when I say it's time to find another breakfast restaurant. Good service is very hard to find at The Griddle. My 4 to 5 table section wasn't happy at all with our server. She was MIA most of the time. I recommend the Tower Grill in Nampa. Great food and excellent service. It's what The Griddle use to have but somehow lost it. Sad! For breakfast, this place is amazing! So so many options! I got the plaid hash, which is a mix of beets and red potatoes, eggs over medium, and toast. Eggs were cooked perfect! Toast came with strawberry jam that the joint makes. Husband got a spinach, feta, basil omelette, hash browns, and swapped out the toast for a biscuit with gravy. The gravy was very good and the biscuit was perfection. Omelette was made well and had lots of feta. The waitresses are all very friendly and like to joke around. We never ran out of coffee or water. We sat at the counter so we also got to watch the cook crew! They are fun to watch and will also carry on a convo with you. Camille was our waitress and was freaking awesome. Food was and is always great. The lack of management is sad. The host was clueless. There was constant issues with being seated out of order of arrival. Host was flagging down parties from across the building rather than politely walking over to them. Host said 20 minutes... to all parties... we waited 57 minutes and listened as countless parties walked in and were told 20 minutes. We were a party of 2 willing to sit at the counter. Really just a lack of managing the building. Tables were being bussed extremely slow and there was no communication between staff who was prepping tables and seating. Just a shit show. I took my granddaughter out for breakfast, and we had a great time. The restaurant has an old-school home-town feel, and the service was super great! Our server was super friendly and helpful, and was happy to accept my granddaughter's original artwork and hang it on the wall for decoration! I ordered a fairly typical two-egg breakfast with bacon and hash-browns, and I was happy with how everything was prepared. Inside out: they have a decent amount of parking and it's not too difficult to get in and out of the location (we went early before it apparently gets crazy) the outside of the building isn't fancy, but it's not shambles. The decorations inside are cute, it's fun to look around and what they've got going on and the layout makes use of the space for fitting a lot of people without being at someone else's table. Service: it was good, nothing wrong but nothing extra (and that's fine by me- I want to get coffee not have a ton of interaction) Food: my husband had the French toast, I had crab cake Benedict, and both were delicious. My mother-in-law can't eat gluten and she says this is one of her favorite breakfast places! read more

First time trying this place today. It was very busy but we only waited maybe 20 mins for 3 people. All employees were polite and knowledgeable. We tried 4 different meals and they were all so yummy!! Honestly best biscuits and gravy I have ever had!! Sweet Crepes, French toast and the loco Moko were also really good! I also loved the decor. I will say the only thing negative is the pricing. We paid about $70 before tip. I did feel $4 for some sauce on the side was a bit steep, so definitely won't be ordering sauce on the side again. Been to this place many times, and it's still one of my favorite local breakfast joints. That being said, they can be inconsistent when service gets slammed and the kitchen seems to get in the weeds. In general, the food does not disappoint, and the quality is very good. Have the french toast or pancakes here and you'll never go back to IHOP again. However, it seems lately when they get busy that food preparation, properly seasoned and cooked food, can suffer. I would not usually hesitate to recommend this place, but I'd say stay away from it during the weekend brunch hours. Just as a point of information, since we are in the waning days of COVID, the place maybe should evaluate their HVAC a little, because when the restaurant is full the air quality is not good.
