What has happened to the food here? We've been coming to the Grille for 20 years and the food was always delicious. Actually better than delicious. Always fresh ingredients and cooked perfectly. Now, Burger so dry and overcooked, chicken and rice stir fry should just be called pepper and onion stir fry, very little chicken. The mahi blackened now has no flavor and the fish is overcooked. New paint, new decor and it looks nice, but the food is now awful. Our team has tried over the last month or so to keep giving it a chance, but sadly we will now be going somewhere else. Very unimpressed. Dinner at 6:30pm on a Saturday. Ordered the prime rib med-well. It came out very medium. Everything was barely warm. Definitely nothing was hot. Potatoes were quarterd and seasoned. We went here to celebrate our friend's birthday. We started with some kind of biscuit, I really enjoyed it, as did everyone else at our table. We ordered a couple of appetizers to get us going, a calamari and a cheese and artichoke dip with chips. The calamari was just ok. Now the artichoke dip I really liked, it had excellent flavor and the chips were very good. For dinner my wife had grilled Atlantic swordfish with asparagus and rice. My wife really enjoyed it, and when I tried a piece of swordfish, I thought it was excellent. Now as for me I had the apple maple center cut pork chops. It was served with asparagus, mashed potatoes and warm apples. All I'm going to say is,"delicious". As far as desert, we didn't have any since they bought a Publix carrot cake. Personally, I think the restaurant was a bit pricey, but it's ok. The food was very good, and the service was just incredibly good. We were in Boca for a company holiday party and decided to have dinner here because it was close to our hotel. We are so glad we did. We were quickly seated and offered one of their complimentary fresh baked biscuits. The menu is very nice and has plenty of good appetizers, salads and entrees. I opted for the swordfish piccatta. It came with angel hair pasta, tomatoes and spinach. It was very good, especially the pasta and vegetables. The swordfish could have used a little more of the sauce. My husband had the stuffed flounder special. It came with rice and asparagus. The restaurant was very spacious and modern. We were too full for dessert but maybe next time. After hearing several people say The Grille was a good lunch spot, I finally decided to give it a try. Very close to work, so that's a plus, easy parking, and no wait, the times I've been there. They have the bar area, with high table, and then the dining room area, which gives a lot of space for the heavy lunch traffic. I have sat at the high tops both times and immediately have been brought water, menu and their delicious biscuits. They have a lunch menu that caters to just about everyone. Salads, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, fish, etc. All are big portions and each time I have ended with leftovers. After these two visits, I have to agree with what I had heard... good option for lunch. read more

Our first time here and we had a wonderful dinner enjoying Happy Hour with great martinis followed by dinner with delicious biscuits, baby back ribs and sides, super burger and excellent coconut cream cake for dessert. Luiza is a true gem going from bartender to serving having worked there 26 years. When we met she said "you've been missing out on good food." She was so right. We had a wonderful lunch here today. It was one of the restaurants on my bookmarks to try in Boca Raton. And as we were in the area, we stopped by. The restaurant was quite busy at lunch time. There were a lot of people who work in the area there. The menu is extensive for lunch with many well-priced selections. They give you free biscuits with butter on the side as you are waiting to dine. The biscuits are delicious and could be a meal in and of themselves. As we were leaving, we saw a lady with three of the biscuits piled on a plate to take home (!). I decided to have the soup and salad. The soup of the day was a shrimp and lobster bisque. You could have also chosen the turkey chili which is a standard soup on their menu. The soup was excellent. It had four nice sized shrimp and a delicious creamy base. I chose their Caesar salad which had large bread croutons, shaved cheese, and a light dressing on the romaine lettuce. It was the perfect combo for a light lunch. We had excellent service. We were checked on frequently even though they were busy. The kitchen was prompt -- no long waiting to get our food. I can't wait to return to try some of the other items on their menu. Tucked away in a shopping center off of Congress and Yamato, I suppose most of the clientele is local to that area. The portions are large but unfortunately the food is mediocre -at best. I had the Asian salmon which was OK but didn't care for the mushy stir fried vegetables that accompanied the entree. Husband had special of day which was a crab stuffed fish swimming in a butter sauce ( he really disliked it ). One of our Kids had a fillet and another kid had the pasta with vodka sauce which they seemed to enjoy somewhat more than we enjoyed our entrees . Decided to return here for my dad's birthday dinner with family joining us. Had some prior good as well as bad experiences in the past (bones in the fish with the manager giving an empty apology, etc), but the varied menu brought me back and I thought it would be a great choice for dad's birthday. Started off with everyone getting a biscuit besides my uncle. He waited 10 minutes after watching the biscuit server distribute to everyone else but our table. You also had to beg for water and the glasses were never replenished. It's like they have magic water from the fountain of youth they're hoarding. My salmon came with 6 bones and my uncle's girlfriend's came with 2. The manager brought over a fresh piece for me which had 3 more bones. Supposedly, "this NEVER happened before". Yeah right!!! My snapper circa 2022 ring a bell? This time the manager apologized at least. The salmons were comped too thankfully. She also felt pretty bad that my dad's birthday dinner was disturbed by this-- then proceeded to charge us $12 for the overpriced birthday cake slice. How LAME and weak!!! They don't care about the experience of all their diners because they have a steady book of regulars from an older age demographic who remember the more consistent days of a well run restaurant. They serve complimentary rolls but these almost taste like a dessert roll - too sweet. They come out with a giant tray and sloppily place them on the table. I think a basket and a nice napkin could make it feel better. We ordered a 8oz filet medium. It came out so incredibly over cooked and not only that texturally it felt as if someone took ground beef and molded together what they thought a steak looked like. It has more of a meatloaf vibe. This was $55 dollars. The meat was recooked but unfortunately textually remained the same. The potatoes it was served with were not seasoned and boiled with the skin on. We also ordered a Caesar salad which unfortunately the only flavor was straight anchovy. We would not return here. read more

I know they are known for their biscuits and I thought they were good but a little too sweet but that's just a preference thing. On a Friday night we arrived to a wait for a table so we went to the bar for a drink. We were immediately greeted by the bartender Aaron. We ordered a couple of martinis and saw Aaron go to work. He is obviously a highly experienced bartender. He managed the back of the bar like a real professional. We were served two superb martinis and decided to have our dinner at the bar being how impressed we were by Aaron's service. We let him know we eating at the bar and he immediately laid down place setting for us. We had the prime rib which was a special for the evening and the burger. The food was excellent. Well, it is Valentine's Day and my employers wanted to do something special for their employees. We placed an online order from The Grille for five people and not one order was correct. There were no "onion rings" on the two straw burgers we ordered, they forget the Turkey Club completely, the Prime Rib French Dip was burnt along with the roll and the Chopped Steak was not medium rare. We called The Grille and told them our problem. We were told to call Door Dash because they delivered the food. Obviously, the food has nothing to do with Door Dash and they were trying to take the blame away from themselves. We were also told we could get the missing Turkey Club only if we ordered it from Door Dash (more money of course) or if we picked it up directly. We chose not to as the food we received was disgusting enough. Please beware of this restaurant. Follow up - we spoke to Louisa who once again blamed Door Dash for the fact that the food that THEY cooked was incorrect. Unbelievable. read more

We ordered the duck and the veal chops. On the menu it states market price for both and we never asked. The duck was $45 and the veal chops were $64! Yes, $64 for veal chops. I might expect these prices at a top flight steak house which this venue is not. Otherwise a pleasant evening. All the food was well prepared. No complaints. The dessert menu is very limited. Came here for lunch today at about 11:40am and there were already a few tables filled. I would recommend coming here before noon if you are in a rush as it got really busy very quickly. There is a convenient parking lot but if you come around 12:30pm, it will probably be hard to get a spot. Service here was great! When we were seated, we were asked if we wanted a booth or a table. I would select a booth if it's available as you more room and don't have to be crunched in the middle with all the tables. As soon as we sat down, we were given a delicious complimentary biscuit and the table already had a little plate of whipped butter. I love it when a restaurant offers bread before a meal because it does cost them extra but it's such a nice touch that most restaurants don't bother to provide that even for dinner let alone lunch. The server came right away and asked us what drinks we wanted and since we already knew what we wanted, we were able to order when she brought back the water that we requested. The lunch options are plentiful here and there is a wide range from sandwiches, salads, and different types of entrees like pasta or fish and pork chop. I ordered the mahi mahi sandwich that came with fries and coleslaw for $15. It was a lot of food. I got it grilled instead of blackened. I think I would probably recommend the blackened over grilled. It didn't have a ton of salt on it. My husband got the tuna melt and it looked pretty good and it was very reasonable for $11 with fries and coleslaw. Pretty restaurant that was decorated beautifully for the holiday. We had reservations at eight and we're given a cozy booth in the corner. The menu looked very nice with lots of fish, chops and poultry. The warm rolls were delicious. I enjoyed my halibut with crabmeat stuffing over string beans and potatoes. My husband's half a duck in an orange sauce was crispy and delicious. Our friends enjoyed the coconut shrimp but found the steak grizzly. The portions were a nice size we brought half home. Restaurant took a reservation for 7:15pm at 6:30pm on open table last night.. We jumped in car and arrived at restaurant at 7:10. Walked in and it was extremely crowded. Waited 5 minutes to see hostess, who acknowledged our reservation, then told us they were running late and it would be "about " 30 minutes. I asked what "about" meant...she said it could be longer and couldn't guarantee anything. I asked to speak to manager to see why they couldn't accommodate us according to a reservation that was made an hour ago. He said they had a lot of walk ins. Needless to say we were extremely disappointed that we drove 25 minutes for an reservation that was made and obviously overbooked. We left and will never go back. read more
